                        Chapter 054

We woke up the next morning and went out to the kitchen. "Hey
you guys." She said as she was rummaging through the cabinets.
"What you looking for?" I asked. "I can't find the oatmeal. I
know there was a whole thing up here. But it's just gone." She
said. Laura and I were trying not to laugh. "What's so funny?"
she asked. "Tiffany?" she said as she sat down across from me
at the table. "Um, Laura and I used it yesterday." I said.
"You couldn't have possibly eaten all that yesterday." She
said. "We didn't." I said. "Well then what the heck happened
to it then?" she asked. Laura and I were silent.

"Wait a minute." She said as she was thinking. "Oh, I think I
know what happened to the oatmeal." Tammy said while smiling
at us. I blushed. "I guess we'll have to go to the store today
since you brats wasted it." She said. We had cereal for
breakfast and then got dressed. We then rode with Tammy to the
store. She bought a few things with the extra money mom had
left her. "Ooh Tammy, can we have this?" I asked as I grabbed
a container of ice cream from the freezer. "We have ice cream
at home." She said. "But not this kind." I said as I began to
beg. "Please?" "You promise not to roll around in the back
yard with it?" Tammy said laughing. "Yes!" I said as I was
blushing. Laura was also laughing.

We checked out and went home. Tammy went out with some friends
for the afternoon. She told us to be good or she'd spank our
diapered butts when she got home. Tammy was going to make a
good mother. She knew how to have fun and be silly, but she
also knew how to take charge of things as well. It rained that
afternoon so Laura and I watched TV on the couch. Today we
were more in a baby mood so we cuddled and I breast fed her.
We fell asleep on the couch.

Tammy woke us up when she got home. "I brought home some
dinner for you guys." She said. We went and washed our hands
and set the table. I put Laura in my highchair. We had some
good bar-b-q take out from where Tammy had eaten before
returning home. "Yummy." Laura said as I was feeding her the
French fries. She held her sandwich all by herself. Luckily I
put her bib on before we sat down. She had sauce all over it.

Laura spent the night again that night. She went home the next
day since her parents were going to take her and Joey on a 2
day vacation in Orlando. I got a call from a church that
wanted our band for a Friday night concert for there youth
group. It was for this Friday. David, Robert and I practiced
without Laura. She got back Thursday evening and I told her
about the concert the next night. "Tiffany, I hate when you
book us for something and don't tell me." She said. "Sorry,
its just we hadn't played in a couple weeks and I thought it'd
be good to get out for once."

Luckily the material was easy and stuff we had already
practiced before so Laura had no problems at all. Friday
afternoon Tammy took us over to David's house. Robert had
already driven there. He got his license a couple weeks ago.
"Hey sorry I couldn't pick you girls up, I had to bring my mom
in town to shop all day today. It sucks not having my own
car." He said. We packed our equipment. David's dad lent him a
company van to use. We were going one county over. It was too
be at a place down in Melbourne, Florida.

Tammy decided to tag along with us. She was in charge of food,
and baby supplies for Laura and I. We got to the church around
5:30. We set up. Tammy changed Laura and I in the bathroom.
Some lady from the church was washing her hands. She asked
about why we wore diapers. Tammy just told her that we both
had week bladders and didn't want to have an accident on
stage. The lady seemed to not have any problem with that.

While we were in the back stage area praying, Tammy came back
with some food from a fast food place. We ate. We did a sound
check at 6:45. At 7, people started coming in. Show time was
at 7:30. Tammy sat in the front row. We kicked off the concert
with a song that David and Laura had written. It was a very
fast song and had a really good beat to it. I was rocking out
on my guitar. Robert even had a bass solo for 8 measures
coming out of the bridge of this song. It definitely got the
party started!

As the evening progressed we got into a time of worship. Tammy
and some ladies from the church came up to the front to pray
with others. God was moving as usual. It was always an awesome
experience. After the concert a guy dressed in a business suit
approached us. "Hi, I'm Chuck Nelson. I work for a Christian
record company. I really like your sound. I was wondering if
you guys are interested in a possible record deal." He said.
We were all very excited. "I have offices in Orlando, how
about you stop by and we discuss it more on Monday." Chuck
said. He gave us his business card. We shook his hand and said
we'd be there. After saying hey to a bunch of people we packed
up and got in the van. We were all really hyper.

"You guys, this is amazing. We could actually put out a CD!" I
said. We talked all the way home. Tammy was driving the van.
We unloaded our stuff at David's. It was about 11:30 PM We
dropped Robert off and then Laura came home with us. We
couldn't sleep. Tammy went to bed around 12:30 AM but Laura
and I were in the kitchen having ice cream at 1 AM!

We fell asleep around 2 and didn't get up until almost noon. I
called Robert and David. We decided to practice every day from
now on. Monday morning came and Tammy drove all of us to
Orlando in dad's truck. We got to the building and went up the
elevator to the top floor.

Tammy sat in the lobby waiting while we went into the offices
of the record company. "Hello." Mr. Nelson said to us as he
shook our hands. We sat down in chairs across from his desk.
He began to talk to us about the company and what artists they
had signed and so on. He explained how they would fund us for
studio time and get our album out onto store shelves. He
explained that from the concerts we played we would receive
paychecks. Also we would receive royalty payments for sales of
our album.

"Okay, since you are all under 18, we need an adult's
permission before we can begin with any contracts and so on."
He said. I went out into the lobby. "Tammy, we need you. We
are going to sign a contract but we need you to allow us to
because we're not over 18." I said. Tammy came in with us. She
looked over the contracts before she let us sign anything. "I
need a moment to confer with the band." Tammy said. "No
problem." Mr. Nelson said as he left the office. "Okay guys,
basically everything is good. You are signing up for one album
with Yahweh Records Inc. You get 15% from album sales, and 35%
from the profit of each concert. You will have to do a tour
for 3 months." Tammy said. "What about school?" Robert asked.
"Well, by the time you guys get your album out and officially
go on tour, it may be next year. This stuff doesn't just
happen over night." She said. "And even if we do go on tour,
we'll just have to do home school. I mean guys, this is it!
This is the big time." I said

We signed the contracts. Mr. Nelson came back in and we
finalized everything. "So do you guys have some ideas for your
album?" he asked. We told him we had about 10 original songs
that were ours, but would like to come up with a few more, and
pick the best ones to go on the album. "Well how about we
schedule your studio time for August. That gives you the
summer to get everything in order. Do you think that would be
enough time?" Mr. Nelson asked. "Absolutely." I said. "Now, I
don't need to tell you this because you probably know this by
now; This is going to take some work and you are committed to
the terms of the contract. If you guys do this well, there is
a good provability that we can extend your contract for future
albums and promotional tours." He said. "Don't worry, we wont
let you down sir." David said.

We went out to lunch and then came home that afternoon. We
practiced up until dinner time. "Well you and Laura are the
main lyric writers. So get busy girls." David said as we were
getting ready to leave. "Don't worry, we will." I said. We had
a word of prayer before we left. We thanked god for this
amazing opportunity.

That night Laura went back to her home. I slept with Tammy in
the crib. We prayed together before falling asleep. "Tiffany,
I'm very proud of you. And I know mom will be excited to hear
the good news when they get back home." Tammy said. I lay
there thinking about everything. I just put it all in god's
hands. I just relaxed and soaked my diaper. I closed my eyes
and fell asleep.
