                        Chapter 089

Amy and I woke up and yawned. We laid there for a few minutes
stretching and trying to wake up. Mr. Fluffy was on the floor
so I sat up and crawled over to the foot of the bed and picked
him up and returned to my spot and cuddled with him.

Amy laid there going tinkle in her diaper. Mommy came into the
room and said good morning to us. "Hi Mommy." I said as I
crawled over to the foot of the bed. Mr. Fluffy was on the
pillow still. I stood up and mommy hugged me. Aunt Kathy came
in a moment later. They changed our diapers and then we went
to the kitchen to eat. Tammy was still sleeping in. Kimmie had
came home last night with her and they crashed in her room.

Daddy was at the table reading the paper and sipping on his
coffee. Teala was in the living room laying on the couch
watching television. She got up early and changed her own
diaper and had breakfast before the rest of us got our lazy
butts out of bed. Mommy seemed to be a bit preoccupied during
breakfast. I could sense something was on her mind.

Later on I joined Teala on the couch. We watched cartoons for
a while. Amy and her mommy went out shopping together so they
could spend some mother daughter time. That was something they
hadn't been able to do very much since they moved in with us.
Even though it had been a few months since the attacks, it was
still hard to not think about it at least once a day. So many
people were displaced, and worse yet, so many lost. I tried
not to think about it to much though. It always made me sad.

Mommy went into daddy's office and closed the door. They were
talking in there for a good while. I was beginning to wonder
what was going on. It seemed like something maybe happened
last night that I slept through. Whatever it was, only mommy
and daddy seemed to know about it.

The doorbell rang around 11:30AM. It was Emily and Laura. We
asked Teala if she wanted to go play in the backyard with us.
She decided to come outside for a little while even though it
was a bit hot out. We hung out in the tree house which had an
air conditioner window unit. "What time is Kelly coming over?"
Laura asked. "After lunch my mom said. Probably around 12:30"
"I hope she won't be shy when she gets here." Emily said. "I
know what you mean, but we have to try extra hard to make her
feel welcome and stuff. She'll come around, I'm sure." I said.

Mom called us girls in for lunch. We had sandwiches and chips
and we each had a sippy cup full of apple juice. "Mommy
where's Tammy?" I asked. "She's in her room." Mom said
plainly. "Is she awake yet?" "Yes." Mom replied. "Why she not
eating lunch mommy?" I asked. "She's not hungry." Mom said. It
sounded like she was trying not to talk about something. It
seemed to me like mommy was upset with Tammy for some reason.

Teala excused herself from the table. She walked down the hall
and knocked on Tammy's door. A moment later she entered and
closed the door behind her. Emily and Laura were quiet during
lunch. I think they could feel the tension too. We sat on the
couch waiting for Kelly to come over and play.

Hey, you guys wait here, I wanna go talk to Tam Tam ok?" I
said as I got up and headed for her room. "OK we wait here."
Laura said. I stood in front of her door and I could hear
faint crying. I heard Teala's voice. It sounded like she was
trying to comfort her. I hesitated for a moment and then
gently knocked. I hear footsteps coming to the door. Teala
peaked her head out. "Hey Tiff." She said softly. "Can I come
in?" I asked. Teala nodded and let me in and closed the door
behind me and locked it. I stood there in the middle of the
room taking it all in. Tammy was laying on her bed crying, and
Teala was now standing behind me with her hand gently on my
shoulder. I approached Tammy and sat down next to her on the
bed. I put my hand on her shoulder.

"Hi Tam Tam. " I said softly. "Hey Tiff." She said while still
sniffling and crying somewhat. "What wrong?" I asked. She
didn't answer. "Are you in trouble with mommy?" I asked. She
just nodded. "What happened?" I asked. She slowly sat up and
looked at me. Her face was moist with tears still. I hugged
her tightly and she held me close to her. She was still
sobbing some, but trying to compose herself. All the while
Teala was sitting at a chair by Tammy's desk facing us.

"Tiffany, I'm so sorry." She said as she lost her composure.
"Tammy just tell me ok? I'll still love you no matter what." I
said as I sat next to her on the bed. "Mommy is mad at me
because what me and Kimmie did last night." She said. "What
did you do?" I asked. A long silence followed, which was
interrupted by a knock at the door. "Tiffany get out here,
your friend is at the door." Mom said. "Go, it's ok hun, go
play. Don't worry about me ok? I'll be fine. Teala is gonna
stay with me for a while. I'll try to explain later ok?" she
said while hugging me. "Otay Tammy. I loves you." I said as I
left the room and shut the door behind me.

I walked into the living room and greeted Kelly. She was
sitting next to Laura on the couch. I had a hard time making
the transition between such a serious moment with my sister,
and now having to play. Sure I loved to play, don't get me
wrong, but when someone you love is going through something,
even if you aren't with them, you can still feel it. It's like
a connection. I always felt that with Tammy.

A while later I was able to shake the felling and indulge in
my playtime. Kelly warmed right up to us girls. She wasn't so
shy once she felt comfortable with us. She explained to us how
her mommy made her wear diapers while they worked on the house
and how her mom and dad went potty out in the yard. "They make
me wear diapers so I don't have accidents because I was to shy
to go in the yard so I would always wind up wetting my pants."
Kelly said. "Oh that makes sense." I said. "So do you like
wearing them?" Laura asked. "Actually yeah. I wouldn't want to
wear them all the time, but sometimes it is nice to know that
you can just go hide some where and go in your pants and go
get cleaned up later when it's convenient." Kelly said.

She was a very intelligent girl for her age. I could tell her
parents were strict and she probably was a straight A student
and all that. We played for a while longer. Kelly did a messy
in her diaper but didn't want to get changed right away. Laura
also filled her baby pants. That's when we decided to go get
changed. Mommy called Tammy and Teala to change us. She seemed
to not be in the mood today. "Dang, whatever your sister did,
your mom is really pissed." Emily said. "Yep." I said as I
knocked on the door again. Teala and Tammy came across the
hall to my room and changed all us girls. Teala changed Kelly
and Tammy changed me. Then Teala changed Laura's tinkle didees
and Tammy changed Emily.

We were going to go back outside to play but it started
raining. Mommy put in a movie for us to watch and we all sat
on the couch. Mommy and daddy went to lie down and take a nap.
They both had been up a lot the past few nights and were very
tired. Teala and Tammy had also fallen asleep in Tammy's room.

After the movie was over we sat on the couch and talked a
while. The door bell rang and it was Kelly's dad. "Hi." I said
as I opened the door. "Hello, I've come to pick up my
daughter." He said. "Ok. Do you want to come in?" I asked.
"That's ok, I left the truck running." He said. "Kelly, it's
your dad. Do you have all your stuff?" I asked. "Yeah." She
said as she said bye to all of us. "Hey, it was really fun
having you over. We'll have to do that again soon." I said.
"OK, I'd like that. You and your friends are nice." She said
as she went with her daddy down the sidewalk. They drove off
and I closed the door and sat back on the couch with Emily and
Laura and sighed. "I'm so tired." I said. "Me too." Laura said
in agreement. "Let's go take a nap." Emily said as she got up
and we walked into my room. Emily crawled into Teala's crib.
Laura crawled into mine. I laid down on the bed. "Aren't you
gonna get in the crib?" Laura asked. "Naw, I just wanna lay
here for a while. You enjoy the crib ya big baby." I said as I
yawned. "Otay me will." The whole house became silent. All
that could be heard was the light rain dripping outside.

I woke up a while later to find Tammy laying in bed with me.
Her arm was around me and she was sound asleep. I lie there
motionless even though I was awake. I could tell that Emily
and Laura were still sleeping as well. Teala stood by the
door. She quietly walked out to the living room and laid on
the couch. I must have dozed back off because when I awoke
later, it was dark outside. Tammy was still lying next to me.
I gently nudged her to wake her up. She opened one eye, and
then the other. She didn't say anything, she just laid on the
bed and looked at me.

I soaked my diaper while we laid there. Tammy smiled slightly.
I was glad to see her smiling. She whispered. "You got tinkle
pants." "I wet." I said quietly as not to wake the others. She
sat up slowly and then stood up in front of the bed. I crawled
out of the bed and followed her out of the room. She grabbed
my diaper bag and motioned for me to go into her room. She
didn't want to wake up the other big babies while changing me.
I also figured this would give us a chance to talk.

After my diaper was changed I sat on the bed next to Tammy.
The door was closed most of the way except for a crack. "So do
you know what happened last night?" Tammy asked. "Um, not
really." I said. "Well, Kimmie and I came back from the movies
really late, and so she stayed the night with me." Tammy said.
"Did mom know she was going to stay over?" "No." she said. "So
is that what she's mad about?" I asked. Tammy sighed. "Look
sweetie-pie, I don't know an easy way to say this." She
paused. "I like girls honey." Tammy said. "So do I? I love
Emily and Laura and Amy, Teala and You, and my new friend
Kelly." I said. "That's not what I mean hun. See, Kimmie and I
like each other more than friends. We like to do things like
boyfriends and girlfriends do. Do you understand what I'm
saying Tiff?" I lowered my head slightly. I was taken by
surprise. "So why was mommy mad at you for that?" I asked.
"She caught us touching, and kissing, and other things I don't
want to tell you about sweetie. We were having girl sex." She
said while wiping away a tear from her cheek.

"Oh." I paused. I didn't really know what to think. "Do you
like me and Teala that way?" I asked. "No way! Yuck! You're my
sister. Sweetie, I would never touch you like I do with
Kimmie. There's a big difference. You don't do stuff like that
with your family honey." Tammy said. "But what about that one
night at Aunt Kathy's when Teala and you had your hands up
each other's shirts?" "That was different. We were cold. Plus
Teala is older, AND she's not my blood sister like you are.
Besides I didn't even really feel anything when we did that.
It's nothing like when I am with Kimmie." Tammy said.

"Oh ok. Why was mommy mad? She lets us wear diapers, and do
other stuff that most families wouldn't." I said. "Well, this
is sort of different. Ya see baby, our church doesn't believe
in what's called same-sex relationships. That means two girls
or two guys. It is a really controversial issue though." "But
why do they care who people love, as long as they are in love
with someone and they get married." I asked. Tammy sighed.
"I'm not even sure I am a lesbian. I still like boys too. To
be honest Tiffany, I'm just about as confused as you are
sweetie. But one thing I know, is mommy and daddy love us, God
loves us, and we all have each other." She said as she gave me
a hug. "What did mommy say to you about it?" I asked. "She
said it was a sin and that it wasn't god's plan for people to
do that. She then told Kimmie to go home. Kimmie was mad and
said some things to mommy about our church, and her beliefs
and they got mad at each other. Daddy came out and got in the
middle of it and sent her home. Then they yelled at me." Tammy
said. "I didn't hear nothing." I said. "That's cuz I stood
outside by the front door. I'm sure all the neighbor's heard."
She said as she signed. "Well Tammy, I don't really know what
to tell you. Maybe you just need to pray, and study the bible
and really let God tell you what he expects from you, instead
of letting other people tell you. That's what I would do if I
was confused about something." I said. "You know what, that's
a great idea. You're so smart honey." Tammy said as she hugged
me. "Can I pray for you?" I asked. "Sure baby. I'd like that."

"Dear God, please help my sister to figure out what you want
her to do about liking girls. I pray that you will help mommy
to be patient with her while she figures things out and talks
to you God. And Jesus, I pray that you will reach out to
Kimmie and help her to know you. Please forgive us of our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us. Show us your plans for
us God, and lead us where you want us to go. I pray that Tammy
and mom and dad will work things out. Also I pray for peace in
our home. Please watch over us, and keep us safe. In the name
of Jesus, we pray, Amen." "Amen." Tammy replied.

Mom stood in the doorway for a moment. We knew she had walked
by when we started praying. Mommy walked into the room.
"Honey, go wake up your friends and go play on the back deck.
I need to talk to your sister alone for a while." Mom said.
"Otay mommy." I left the room and went to do as she said.
Laura, Emily and I sat out behind the living room on the deck
by the pool. The rain had stopped by this point. Teala came
out and joined us for a while.

Meanwhile in Tammy's room: Tammy was trying to speak but she
couldn't get the words to come out. Mommy began to cry and
just hugged Tammy. "I love you." Mom said to her. "I love you
to mommy, I'm sorry." She said. "Shhh, It's ok baby. Mommy
loves you so much." Mommy said while she held Tammy and cried.

They stopped crying after a while and sat down on the bed. "I
am sorry how things happened last night honey. I know I was
out of line. I should have handled things in a calmer way."
Mom said. "I'm sorry too." Tammy said. "I'm sorry for not
telling you she was here, and for being out so late, and for
what I was doing last night mommy." She said as she started
crying again. "Tammy, answer me one question." "Yes mom?" "How
long have you and Kimmie been," Mom said as Tammy interrupted
her. "Only a few times, just the past year or so just 3 or 4
times." Tammy said. Mom sighed. "I know that girls your age
sometimes experiment, or compare breast sizes, and so on, but
somehow Tammy I get the feeling that's not what's going on
with you and Kimmie." Mom said while blowing her nose. Tammy
was trying to stop crying. "I think I love her mommy." "Honey,
I think that you are confused, and trying to figure things
out. Maybe both of you are. I can understand that. These days,
with so much knowledge of sex at your age, from your peers,
and from the media." Mom said. "NO, Mom, I do love her." Tammy
said forcefully.

Mom just sighed. "Tammy you know that same sex relationships
are" "Yeah mom I know, they're wrong! But why? Just cuz the
church says so? I don't remember seeing in the bible where it
is wrong!" Tammy said while fighting back tears. "I understand
your anger, after last night honey, but." "NO MOM! You don't
understand! You're always letting us girls wear diapers, and
that's not socially popular, but you taught us to stand up for
ourselves and to not let people make us feel bad! You're a
hypocrite! You and everyone else! If it's ok to wear diapers
then why the HELL isn't it ok to be in love with a girl!"
Tammy yelled. Mom smacked her face with an open palm. "I wont
have you talk to me that way young lady!" she said. IN that
moment she regretted what she had done, but she couldn't take
it back. "I HATE YOU!" Tammy screamed. "I'm running away to
Kimmie's house! At least her mom will accept me!" Tammy said
while standing toe to toe with mommy.

This was the point where we could hear them outside. I ran
inside. They were both having a yelling match. Dad and Mom,
verses Tammy, so it seemed. "Young lady, you are not to go
over there! We have church tomorrow. Why don't you come with
us and we can meet with the pastor and work this out. "Oh no!
NO way in HELL! Get out of my room! I'm packing my stuff and
I'm leaving! Don't get in my way!!!" she screamed. I stood
there in the hall looking into the room watching my kind
loving and gentle sister just fly off the handle and come
unwound. This deeply shook me. Tammy had always been a source
of stability for me emotionally, and with this turmoil going
on, I couldn't handle it. I began balling.

Daddy came out to the hall. He picked me up. "Come on honey."
He said as he carried me to the kitchen. He called Laura's
mom. "Can I bring tiffany over, maybe for the night. Our
family is having a very bad quarrel. I don't want her to see
this." Dad said. "Sure. I'll come get her. Just have them wait
on the sidewalk." Laura's mommy said. "Emily is with them, can
she come over too?" dad said. "Yeah, I'll call her mom when we
get back here and work something out. I'll be right over Tom."

Daddy hung up the phone. "Come on girls, get your things, you
are going to Laura's house for a while ok?" Dad said as he
held me and tried to get me to stop crying. As we waited out
front we could still here them yelling. Laura's mom came up
the driveway in her car and slammed the breaks and got out.
She approached daddy. She told Laura and Emily to get in the
back. "Come on Tiffany, Why don't you come over to my house
for a while ok baby?" "NO! I want my Tammy!" I cried. "Aww,
but we'll have fun, and you can come back later when
everything is calmed down ok sweetie." Laura's mom took me
from daddy. I cried. Daddy went back inside. I felt my whole
life spinning. Everything within me felt like water swirling
down a drain. I just cried until crying didn't do anything for
me anymore. I just sat in Laura's mommy's lap with Emily and
Laura sitting on either side. They tried to comfort me as best
as they could.

Meanwhile back at the house: It was pouring rain and
thundering now. Tammy was throwing her stuff into her car. Mom
and dad were standing on the steps crying. Each time Tammy
would walk up to the house she'd push past them. "Please be
careful honey." Mom cried as she got into her car. Mom was
trying to hold on to the door handle. "Mom! Back off!" Tammy
yelled. "I love you!" mom said as her tears mixed with the
raindrops on Tammy's car window as she gave her mother one
last glaring stare before pealing out of the driveway and
gunning it off down the road. Mom and dad held each other
crying in the rain.

Mommy and daddy finally went inside and changed out of there
soaked clothes. They sat on the couch praying harder than they
had ever prayed. "News report Special weather bulletin."
Flashed on the screen. "Flash floods in parts of Daytona, and
inland." The weather man said. "Oh Tom, our baby is out there,
and It's my fault." Mommy cried. The door opened. Amy and her
mom came in. "Gosh it's raining cats and dogs.. Hey, what's
wrong with you guys?" Kathy said while hanging her raincoat on
a hook by the door. Amy stood next to her mom staring at mommy
and daddy. "We had a fight with Tammy." "Again?" Kathy said as
she sat down next to them. "What do you mean again? I never
heard any fighting yesterday?" Amy said. "It was last night
honey. Tammy and Kimmie came in late and, well, it's a long
story hun." Kathy said.

They sat there and talked for a while. "Hey, where's Teala?"
Amy asked. "I don't know, she was taking a nap before
everything happened." Mom said. Amy got up to go look for her.
After walking around for a while she thought she heard
breathing. She opened the hall closet door. "Teala! What are
you doing in there?" she asked. Teala was quiet. She looked
scared. Amy tried to help her crawl out of the hiding place
she was in. Mom came over to her. "Teala, why did you hide in
the closet honey?" "Cuz I got scared when you started
fighting. IT was just like at my house when I was little and
my mom and dad would argue. They would yell and hit each other
and throw things. I always ran and hid. I just was scared when
things started happening." She said while whimpering. "Aww,
you poor baby. Mommy's sorry that things got ugly tonight. I
would never hurt you, or anyone for that matter." Mom said as
she checked her diaper. "You're all wet. How about you let me
go change you into a nice dry diaper and fix you some ice
cream?" mom said in baby talk. Teala nodded.

Later on Emily had to go home. Laura was sitting with me. "I
wanna go home." I said to Laura. "Ask my mommy ok Tiffy?"
Laura said as she took me by the hand into her mom's room.
"Tiffany wants to go home mommy." Laura said. "Well, let me
call and see if things have calmed down, ok darling?" She said
as she reached for the phone and dialed. She talked to my
parents for a few minutes before hanging up. "OK, your cousin
Amy is going to come get you sweetie." Laura's mom said as she
got out of bed and gave me a hug. "If you need somewhere to
run when things get bad at home, you can always come here
Tiffany, Ok?" She said. "Thank you." I said as we embraced
once more. Laura kissed me goodnight. She went back to her
bedroom and laid down to go to sleep.

I stood by the door with Laura's mom and then heard a knock.
It was Amy. "Hi baby." Amy said as she knelt down and hugged
me and kissed me. I didn't say anything. "Good night." Laura's
mommy said as she shut the door. Amy and I got in the car. I
was quiet all the way home. "Do you wanna sleep with me
tonight baby?" she asked while walking with me into the house.
"I want my mommy." I said softly. "Ok sweetie. I understand.
There's no one like momma when baby wants to cuddle and feel
all better. I know how ya feel sweetie. I'll cuddle up with
Teala in her crib tonight." Amy said. "Goodie. She probably
would like that." I said.

It was late. I crawled into mommy and daddy's bed. I was in a
squishy diaper but I didn't care. "You're wet baby." Mom said
as she patted my diaper. "But it's ok. I'm glad you came home.
Mommy loves you." She whispered. "I love you too." I said as I
nestled in close to her and fell asleep in her arms. Teala and
Amy slept in Teala's crib. Teala was doing ok, now that she
got to be babied a little bit, it helped calm her down.

I woke up crying later in the night. Mommy breastfed me until
I fell asleep. Since my diaper was really wet, she changed me
while I slept. Then she laid back down next to me. We all
slept in late the next morning. We got up to late for church,
but mommy and daddy went down to the church. They wanted to
sit down and talk to the Pastor after services. Kathy was in
charge of us kids. She tried to keep us occupied so we
wouldn't think about all the stuff that happened last night.

The phone rang while Aunt Kathy and Amy were fixing dinner.
"I'll get it." I said as I reached for the phone by the end
table to the left of the couch. "Hewwo?" I said. "Tiff, is
that you?" "Tammy!" I said. "Hey. Is mom there?" "No she and
daddy went out for the afternoon to church." I said. "Oh. Well
tell them I'm ok, and I'm sorry." Tammy said. "Please come
home, I miss you." I said as I started to cry. "I miss you too
baby doll." She said as her voice wavered slightly.

"I have to go, don't forget to tell mom I called and what I
said ok?" "Otay Tam Tam." I said. "Tiff?" "Yeah?" "I'll come
home in a few days after things blow over, or something. I
don't want you to worry about me ok? I love you." She said. "I
love you more." I said as I sniffled. "Aww, but I love you the
mostest." She said as she laughed slightly. "Miss you." I
said. "I'll miss you too. Be a good girl ok?" Tammy said. "Ok
you too!" I said as I hung up the phone.

Later that night Mommy and Daddy came home. They had been
praying in the church prayer room all day and were exhausted.
I told them Tammy called and that she was ok, and she was
sorry, and she would be home in a few days when things blew
over." Mom sighed with relief, as did dad. They got a shower
and went to bed. "Tiff, if you wanna sleep with momma and
daddy tonight, just crawl into bed when you're all ready. Ok?"
"Otay mommy." I said while I hugged her and daddy. "Oh Kathy?"
"Yes Tonya?" "Make sure this munchkin goes to bed in dry
diapers. I had to wake up and change her squishy tushie last
night." Mommy said as she laughed and swatted my diaper
playfully. I laughed. "OK I'll make sure she's dry tonight."
Aunt Kathy said as she came into the living room and gave her
sister a kiss and a hug. "Thanks." Mom said as she walked into
her room and closed the door. A moment later she opened it
just a crack so I could push it open if I wanted to come in
and lay in mommy and daddy's bed later on.

Around 9, Aunt Kathy got me ready for bed. Amy and Teala were
already tucked in and watching the end of a movie in Amy's
room. After my teeth were brushed, aunt Kathy took me to my
room to change my diaper. "Do you have to go potty?" she asked
before she took off my diaper. "A little." I said. "OK go in
your baby pants now, so you will be in dry didees for your
mommy ok?" "Otay." I said as I tinkled in my diaper. "All
done?" she said as she began to take off my diaper and wipe me
and powder me. After I was diapered, I crinkled all the way
down the hall to Amy's room. I said nighty night to Teala and
Amy. Then Aunt Kathy gave me a hug and kiss. She handed me my
bear and patted me on the head softly as I waddled into
mommy's room and crawled into bed. Aunt Kathy shut the door
behind me. After squirming around a little bit, I got
comfortable. Mommy and daddy were so tired, they didn't even
move. I prayed for my Tam Tam, I prayed a lot. I fell asleep
around 1AM. That was the last time I looked over at the clock.
I woke up again at 3. I totally went poopy in my baby pants. I
relaxed and tinkled and then fell back asleep until morning.
