I wrote several stories but never posted any online. Perhaps I
need an editor. But I want to contribute something, as a tribute
to other writers who regularly post their work. In the era we
live in, pleasure of naturality is fading away. Human life,
including way of getting pleasure, are gradually being dominated
by humans’ own laws. Laws which are often inharmonious with the
nature we have been living with for millions of years.

In the same era, there is one more problem - rising reigns of the
Big Brother. I have been feeling reluctant to participate freely
with other online colleagues. Apologies if I may have taken this
seriously. I thought some people entrusted with the task of
society’s vigilance may be using our academic work for their
official objectives.

Last week I was lecturing someone younger about good manners and
society’s norms. Her polite, smiling, yet instinctive response
was – who cares. There is nothing wrong in learning certain
life-skills, and values for surviving in today’s era, from the
younger generation.

Blended with two cultures, the East and the West, I enjoy reading
stories and seeing films from all over the world. In ASSTR, I
noticed only few themes are coming from or surrounding India. For
a country of thousands of years of erotism and population of over
billion people, the presence in ASSTR is not enough. Therefore I
decided to plunge into the ocean, for a while.

In the next posting is my story, presented first time for an
online audience.
