TRUE STORY
It was the summer of 1957 and I was going to be a senior in high school that fall. I owned a baby blue convertible and must have had some boyish charm because I never had a problem getting dates.
One evening I was working on my car in the garage and the across-the-alley neighbor, a few years younger than me, came over to help. He was a bit of a goof and I suppose he looked up to me, so I put up with him.
She came walking down the alley and into the pool of light from the garage. I never saw her in the neighborhood before. She could not have been any older than eleven or twelve. I remember clearly her small stature and that she was wearing a plain, gray summer dress with rose-colored stripes of stylized flowers. Back then, girls did not wear jeans or slacks like they do today. Bold as brass she started talking saying how much she liked my car. She asked if she could sit in it and I agreed. She talked and flirted, then said to me, "I heard about you and your reputation with girls." I did not know I had a reputation with girls.
We talked some more then my goofy neighbor says, "Let's see your tits."
She answers, "No."
"Come on, let's see your tits."

The bible gives no reference to age of consent or even the marrying age of various people mentioned in the bible. However scholars have ascertained that Mary was fourteen or fifteen when she birthed Jesus, Based on scholars interpretation of the events surrounding his birth they think it most likely he was born in spring or summer so she was probably thirteen or fourteen when she became pregnant and at that point was already married to Joseph. The Jews have a ritual of passage, thirteen for boys (bar mitzvah) and twelve for girls (bat mitzvah) when they pass into adulthood.
Ancient Roman girls, especially the commoners, married around the age of thirteen, which is when most girls of that time began regular menses. Mainly it was to insure that the girl was still a virgin at the time of marriage. Ditto for the Greeks. Both these cultures knew that once the girl started puberty their sex drive could override what they were taught about remaining a virgin. Roman girls were married to older men; the men had to get their military obligation done first. It must also be remembered that women in general were considered a chattel commodity to be bought and sold into marriage. That is why virginity was so important. After all, who wants to buy a used product?
Thanks to the Discovery Channel, I learned that girls in the Amazon jungles are married to their intended husband when they reach puberty. This, I have read, was also true of the Pacific island nations before they became 'civilized' by the Europeans. While on this subject, I often wonder why is it OK to show a naked native girl in the rain forest on TV, but not in a swimming pool in California?
I recently read that the age of consent 200 years ago in the United States was 10. It was common for men to take on very young wives during the populating of the western United States in the 1800’s due to the lack of available females and the ability of children to adapt to harsh living environments.
Until recently, Japan was quite open to pornography including child pornography. Moreover it is only recently, under pressure from the U.N., that these laws were changed. It is illegal to produce child pornography in Japan, however their congress voted down a law that would have made it illegal to possess child pornography as in the US.
By custom Children in India were oftentimes betrothal from birth, married at five and the marriage was consummated as soon as the girl was capable of intercourse. According to the 1860 law, that was 10 years old. In 1927 it was changed to 12 years old.

Merriam Webster defines the word as a precocious girl barely in her teens. (I prefer Webster's definition.)
Humbert Humbert describes himself as a nympholept. A nympholept is one who desires nymphets. According to him there has to be an age difference of at least ten years and up to ninety years between the man and the girl to be a true nympholept. Merriam Webster defines a nympholept as one suffering from nympholepsy and defines nympholepsy as demonic enthusiasm held by the ancients to seize one bewitched by a nymph. There is another definition in Wiktionary, a frenzied state of (usually erotic) emotion especially concerning something or someone unobtainable.
In 1976, the Italian edition of Playboy magazine had a pictorial on Eva Ionesco in the nude. She was 11 years old at the time. That same year she appeared in two soft-core films. Two years later, she was featured in the Spanish Penthouse. Her photo artist mother started taking nude pictures of her when she was five and a collection of these pictures were published in a Japanese book. All of these are collector items today.
Gary Gross took nude pictures of Brooke Shields when she was ten with her mother's consent. He paid the mother $450.00. When she became famous Brooke went to court to stop their publication. Mr. Gross had a signed contract from the mother giving him full ownership and Brooke lost. These pictures still float around the Internet. Two years after that Brooke was cast in 'Pretty Baby.' in which she appears nude in several scenes. A censored version of the movie can still be bought at Amazon.com. In 1983 the Gross photos were supposed to be shown at the Tate Modern. They were pulled when the British police told the museum that the pictures could possibly violate obscenity laws.
More recently, the movie 'Hounddog' created controversy because Dakota Fanning played the part of a 12 year old and her character Lewellen is raped. No nudity was involved. Some tried to ban the movie at the Cannes film festival. One can imagine the howl that would arise if movies like 'Pretty Baby' or 'Piccole Labbra,' one featuring a 12 year old and the other a girl of 13 in naked and heavily sexual situations were made today.
The onset of puberty has slowly been drifting to an earlier and earlier age. Children as early as 8 years old are now starting puberty. Scientists are baffled why this is happening. At the same time states are moving the age of consent upward under parental pressure. There is nothing biblical, historical or scientific to support such a move and only makes sex illegal at a time when the children are becoming interested in it.
Psychologists have not come to a consensus if sexual interest in pubescent children by adults is a mental disorder or merely the natural inclination of hereditary instinct based on the fact young women produce strong offspring.
Concerning child pornography, it used to be the test was whether the child was photographed in a sexual setting or the child was posed in a sexually explicit manner. Today any picture of a child can be considered pornographic even if the child is clothed. Recently a man was arrested for taking pictures of a young girl in a playground. It turned out the pictures were of his daughter. In another incident, a man and woman were arrested after the drug store where they sent the film to be processed thought their pictures were pornographic and called the police. In that case, the picture showed the father kissing his naked baby son. One can only wonder if some day it will be illegal to write or read about children having sex.
In Japan, it is illegal to draw a cartoon of a naked child character. Child pornography no longer requires the test of child endangerment. The world is becoming child-pornophobic (If I may coin such a word,) it has become the witch hunt of the 2000's.
Current laws and ethics concerning child sexuality are not working. We are to somehow cocoon our children until they are "of legal age"and even then we have some religions telling them sex is supposed to be within the confines of marriage and for reproduction only. Teaching abstention and calling it a viable alternative is nonsense. A full 88% of those who pledge abstinence have premarital sex anyway. In the southern states where abstention is promoted and taught in the schools their incidents of pregnancy is higher then in the liberal northern states.
Here is a chilling statistic: Childbirth in the US for those mothers between the age of 10 and 14 for the year 2006 was 6369. That was child birth, how many more were aborted? I know if my 10 year old daughter would have become pregnant I would have flown to the end of the world, if necessary, to have the fetus aborted. No 10 year old should be saddled with raising a child. Considering the births and abortions, how many could have been avoided with proper education and medication.
If God wanted us to use intercourse for procreation only he would have made us like every other animal. The female would go into heat and lay down a scent that could be smelled by a male blocks away. I remember when my dog went into heat. There were male dogs trying to jump a four foot fence to get to her. Have you ever seen a video of lions mating? The female looks bored to tears while the male is pumping away. Except for dolphins, we are not like other animals, we enjoy sex.
A girl can have an orgasm by the time she is 18 months old including having that little pussy become wet. Little boys can experience orgasm although they do not produce semen. The male reaches peak sexual drive at seventeen.
Sexting, a girl in one of the eastern states had her cell phone confiscated when she was caught using it on school property. The phone content was searched by school authorities and found to have seminude pictured of the girl. The phone was turned over to the police and the girl was arrested and found guilty of possessing child pornography. (Think about that, possessing a picture of yourself nude can mean you possess child pornography.) The story I read said the pictures were well hidden on the phone so it was not a matter of someone just tripping over them in handling the phone. The girl is now suing the school and police for invasion of privacy. Another case of a witch hunt, I hope she wins.
Every time they pass yet another restrictive law against child sexuality the rallying cry is "It is for the children's sake." I think it is the parent that does not want to talk to their children about sex. They are the ones that want to keep their precious snowflake in the cocoon and hope they never have to answer; "Why does Johnny have a thingee between his legs and I don't?"when their daughter is only five. According to law enforcement officials, men have become so paranoid about being thought of as a pedophile that they won't even help a child that is in obvious distress.
We are going about sex, sex education and child sexuality all wrong. There is an excellent article on the internet titled "Antisexuality and Child Sexual Abuse"by Ralph Underwager and Hollida Wakefield. It is written by people in the psychology field far smarter than me and they have come to roughly the same conclusions. They see the trend as,"[T]he criminalization of childhood sexual behavior."Read it if you have the chance.
Have you ever noticed that when a teacher is caught having an affair with a student, it is not the student running to the authorities or parents crying, "He(or she) ruined me for the rest of my life."It is usually a slip of the tongue, or bragging to friends, or some other reason that alerts the parents and sends them running to the authorities.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for incarcerating rapist and child rapist should get the worst penalty possible. Child sexual abuse should be clearly defined as to what constituted abuse and not be a catchall for anything some people driven by myth and superstition don't like. On the other hand sexuality does not magically start at eighteen; it starts at birth and increases ten fold at the start of puberty. Sexual education, both theoretical and practical should progress with the child's ability to learn. Maybe instead of just saying the sperm enters the egg and a fetus starts developing, we should also teach them how beautiful and pleasure filled sex can be. I truly believe that perhaps the proper way to educate our children was practiced by the south sea islanders before white men came and shoved their morality down the natives' throats. They were all naked so there was no body shame. Young children were allowed to play at sex games. Older children played with each other while 'hiding' in the bushes, but in actuality ignored by the elders. When the girls started menses they were married off, usually to older men. If nearly fifty percent of love based marriages fail can arranged marriages be that much worse? Maybe older man/young girl marriages would work better.
If there is such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back as a dolphin. They have no shame so they never sewed seaweed into bathing trunks. They thought swimming was fast enough so they never invented the motor boat and ruined the ocean by drilling for oil. They live as one with their environment, no need to mine ore or build nuclear reactors. They are the only other known animal to copulate for pleasure and they fornicate several times a day including with their own children. They have few enemies and only thing they have to worry about is that some dumb ass human will destroy their world. Now that is a wonderful life.

In days of yore in many states in the USA it was:
Illegal to engage in unnatural sex acts such as oral or anal sex, even with your wife.
Illegal to engage in interracial intercourse.
Illegal to engage in homosexual sex acts.
Illegal to have an affair, whether married or not.
Improper for a woman to show a naked ankle.
Today it is legal to have consexual intercourse with a sixteen-year-old girl as long as it is legal in the state you do it in. If the girl is fifteen and in the neighboring state that is lawful, don't take her there to do it. Crossing a state line for the purposes of sex is illegal, that is the federal Mann Act. Originally it was meant to apply to taking prostitutes across the state line, but today the courts take a much broader interpretation. Remember, it is illegal to have a picture of her even semi naked even if you are having sex with her, again a federal offense. The laws are so jumbled about sex with minors from state to state and state to federal that it is probably best not to engage in such acts, just read about them instead; it is so much safer.

Supreme Court: Sex offenders can be held indefinitely
The Supreme Court ruled Monday the federal government has the power to indefinitely keep some sex offenders behind bars after they have served their sentences, if officials determine those inmates may prove "sexually dangerous"in the future.
"The federal government, as custodian of its prisoners, has the constitutional power to act in order to protect nearby (and other) communities from the danger such prisoners may pose,"Justice Stephen Breyer wrote for the 7-2 majority.
My question is, why only sex offenders? Considering the percent of repeat offenders, don't all excons pose a potential threat to society?

Researchers report that girls are starting puberty at an earlier age, with some children starting as early as the age of seven.
SUGGESTION
Here is a radial idea.
Suppose a man is dying of starvation, and has no money, but a few blocks away is an open air market of fruits and vegetables. The starving man knows the owner is usually too busy to watch all his customers and what they do. Would the man, driven by starvation, go down and steal what he can? Now suppose some good Samaritan brings the man a week's worth of groceries. Would the starving man still steal from the fruit and vegetable vendor and risk arrest?
Turn the tables. A pedophile is so sex starved he can hardly contain himself. A few blocks down is a play ground and the guy owns a trench coat. He knows there is almost no proper adult supervision. What is to stop him from going down there and doing a little flash dance for all the little girls to see? What if, instead, he can turn on his Internet connection and get all the kiddy porn he wants. Would the sex staved man still flash the playground and risk arrest?
Maybe the answer isn't to shut down all sources, but to leave alternatives that harm no one.
There is some validity to my idea. According to a study by Diamond & Uchiyama in Japan there was a decrease in sex crimes against children between 1985 and 1995 when we had a wide open Internet as compared to a period previous to 1985.

Couple of things in the news worth noting.
MSNBC had a report on "Virgin Waxing", hair removal from the legs, pubic mons, and crotch for girls between eight and ten-years-old. This is the fine, lightly pigmented, prepubescent hair called vellus. According to the report, if the girls get this done the area will permanently remain hairless after two to six virgin waxing treatments.
Wall Street Journal had a report that children are growing up too soon. According to the article ten to twelve-year-old children of today were the twelve to fourteen year-olds of twenty years ago. As an example, in 1988 11% of boys under fifteen admitted to having sex. For 1995 that is up to 19%. Interestingly enough, according to WSJ 7th and 8th graders consider oral sex as "Just fooling around."
Fox News had an article concerning padded bikini tops for girls eight to fourteen-years-old being sold by Abercrombie & Fitch. They had several psychologists give their viewpoints everywhere from making the girls feel inadequate to preteen promiscuity. Fox, with its characteristic conservative view, had their "parenting expert"say that any parent who buys this top for their child should be turned over to child services. (That's a bit draconian, don't you think?)
ABC News had an article on the Hillsborough (Fla.) County Public Library deciding to keep a book "Mom's Having a Baby"on their shelves in their juvenile section in spite of parent protests. The book did away with the stork delivery myth and tells it like it is, penis, vagina, semen and all.
So on the one hand we have society sexualizing preteens and preteens giving blow jobs as recreation, but on the other hand, don't you dare give those precious, pure, innocent children a second look or you might end up in jail.

I just love this one
According to several sites on the Internet, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Lawrence Kasden were kicking around ideas for "Raider of the Lost Ark". According to the transcript the character of Indiana Jones was to be the mentor to and have an affair with a kid of eleven, or twelve, or fifteen. They never settled the age question. This was back in the 70's when thoughts like that were not the poisons they are today. A company has come out with a padded Bikini top for children. Again, there was uproar. Has it occurred to any of these hysterical parent that maybe, just maybe, the child wants to imitate the mother that they so dearly love? Just like anatomically correct dolls, no one is forcing these parents to buy this stuff.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, in a brief outfit, is on stage in front of her screaming, adoring preteens and teens with her leg held up by one of her dancers, her crotch toward the audience, and her singing, "I'll get him hot, show him what I got."Of course she is singing about a game of poker. Right! Just like her performance, we are constantly sending a mixed message about sex to our children.
Ever notice, toddlers are happy to run around naked? Shame of our bodies is something that has to be taught, it is not instinctive. I read somewhere that unwanted pregnancy among preteen/teen naturalists, those that lived a nudist lifestyle, was lower than the general population. So again it seems we are going down the wrong road.

Another toy maker is in trouble with those that get upset with everything concerning their precious snowflake. This time it is a breast-feeding doll. Hold the doll's mouth to a special top the girl wears and the doll make sucking sounds and the lips move. It is made by a company in Spain, or was, they sold out at $89.00 each and came in several different races. You can still buy them on Ebay for $112.00.
Here is a twist, a Republican sponsored house bill called "Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011" requires ISPs to retain customer names, addresses, phone #s, credit card #s, bank acct #s and IP addresses. So tell me, how long before that info is hacked? And, oh yes, it has nothing to do with pornography or pedophilia except it get your representative in Washington who will vote yes because it has a sound good title for a bill. As one blogger pointed out, last we heard pornography is legal. Cnet reports "The mandatory logs would be accessible to police investigating any crime and perhaps attorneys litigating civil disputes in divorce, insurance fraud and other cases." Scary huh?
The sex offenders list, you know the list where the government tells you where you can live, the one that requires you to report your whereabouts to the police four time a year, the one that says you can't give candy to trick-or-treaters, that list of the worst of the worst sexual offenders now has two fourteen-year-old boys on it. Their God awful sex crime? Rape? Sodomy? No, sitting with their pants down on two twelve-year-old boys' heads. The kids, being fourteen, thought it was a good joke and did it for a laugh. Talk about your basic misuse of the law, wow.

I was watching The Today Show on NBC this morning and they had a segment on something all the tight-ass parents can get excited about. A French company has come out with lingerie for children from four-year-old and up to twelve. They showed photos and I didn't see where the children looked all that sexy, but you put the words lingerie and children together and it creates immediate controversy. Then they brought up this company in England that teaches three-year-old and older children to pole dance. Pole dancing+children=for shame on you. They also brought up the ten-year-old model in Cosmopolitan. The expert said all this sexualizing of children is going to traumatize them. Here is my advice on the subject. If you don't want your children to wear lingerie, don't buy it. If you don't want your children pole dancing, don't send them to pole dancing school. If you don't want your children modeling in Cosmopolitan, don't make them models. The best thing to do is, swaddle them on the day they are born, put them in the back of the closet and don't bring them out until they are eighteen. But, of course, I jest.

Google "Maddy Jackson"and see what you get. A four year old wearing C-cup falsies and padded butt for the show "Toddlers and Tiaras". She does an imitation of Dolly Parton so what should she wear? Naturally the whole world is up in arms about this. (Same old, same old) Come on, all these girls are dressed up with coiffured hair and heavy make-up. They are made to look and act like they are adults, seems to me the next logical step was to give them boobs and butts. Personally, I am against the whole concept, children should look and act like children.

I no sooner posted the uproar about the little girl that wore falsies on the show "Toddlers and Tiaras"then another news item appeared about a three-year-old wearing a copy of the outfit Julie Roberts wore as a prostitute in the movie "Pretty Woman"and then the girl did a "slut walk" on stage. Of course everyone is up in arms that this girl's mother would put her daughter into such a setting. It is interesting that in the movie "Little Miss Sunshine", Abigail Breslin playing Olive does a bump and grind in a preteen beauty contest. There was no outrage from the media, in fact it was nominated for four academy awards, including best picture and grossed over 100 million at the box offices. I guess because it was a comedy it was OK to portray a little girl as a lap dancer.
I just finished reading the book, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep." In chapter sixteen he describes the android as having an adolescent childlike body with "diminutive breasts"and slender legs with a "nonsexual quality" about them. Later in the chapter he observes her "almost breastless, trim shape." By the end of the chapter he implies he had sex with her. My question is, is it okay to have sex with this almost human child because she is an android or because he wrote it in 1968, long before we were seeing a pedophile behind every rock?

Don't dress your little girl in a school uniform because there are a bunch of boogie men out there just waiting to get their rocks off as your girl goes to school. Toronto police and Greenwood College principal report two girls were ogled both wearing a school skirt, shirt and blazer while on their way to class. The police advise is to have them wear jeans or sweat pants. As if a girl's butt in a pair of tight jeans won't be ogled. My advice, don't even look at a school girl who know what cop will arrest you for ogling. After all, it is not like a speed limit, there is no defined time limit between looking and ogling.
The following was sent to me by one of my readers: So. I used to enjoy AMW. But in the last 1-2 years they have become the pedo-persecution channel. John Walsh even uses the term "convicted pedophile". Last I checked, it wasn't illegal to "be a pedophile", just illegal to posses child porn (don't get me started on the constitutionality of that) or engage in sexual activity (even consensual) with a person that is deemed to be a minor according to your state's law. But to convict someone of "being a pedophile" would be a thought crime. Are we really to that point of police state? Maybe.

Here is a story of the courts running amok. The parents of a seven year old boy say that officials violated the civil rights of the boy when they charged the boy with first degree sexual assault. The kids were playing doctor and the boy allegedly put his finger up a playmate girl's anus just like his real doctor did to him. The girl's mother went to the authorities. Just what were the district attorney and judge thinking? Oh wait, politics were involved.

I like their catch-phrase "Sex for the real world." When you realize that almost every swear word we have is either sexual or bodily function related, you begin to realize what an uphill battle we have to bring sex into the twenty-first century, when it is still trapped in the fifth century (or before) mythology. It is a crying shame that our children have to learn about sex from pornography, as reported in a Slate article, and not at home or in school. Unfortunately, I am sure that if we started teaching in school that sex is one of the great pleasures in life, our politicians would pass a law against it.

Here are a couple more under the heading stupidity and the law. (They seem to go hand-in-hand lately.)
A seven-year-old first grader in Boston is being investigated for possible sexual harassment charges after he punched a bully in the nuts. The bully choked the poor kid while on the school bus and stole his gloves. And what charges were leveled against the bully, why none, of course. The mother said if that is sexual harasment then the bully should be charged with attempted murder. (Here, here.)
In Gaston County N.C. a boy was suspended from school for sexual harassment. His crime? Calling the teacher "Cute." Yes, in North Carolina if you are nine-years-old and you tell your teacher that she is cute you are an obvious pervert.
Watch for these two children's names to wind up on the National Sex Offenders Registry. If that happens how will they go to school if by law they cannot come within 500 feet of one.

Follow-up to an earlier post:
The first grader accused of sexual harassment has been transferred to another school. No word if anything was done to the bully which is a shame, other bullies reading the news might get the idea if he got away with it so can they. Why wasn't he charged with assault and theft and what was the bus driver doing while all this was happening in his bus?
Much better news about the nine-year-old who called his teacher, "cute" and was suspended for sexual harassment. The school superintendent fired the principal for his actions. At least someone in the school district has some brains. I do wonder that if this item did not get splashed all over the Internet, would action would have been taken?

Some interesting definitions I found on the Scientific American site.
Infantophilia: Individuals sexually attracted to persons less than six years old.
Pedophiles: Individuals attracted to children who have not started puberty. The word chosen and vilified by the media to cover all situations of adults sexually attracted to persons under the age of 18 (Generally even in jurisdictions where the age of consent is less).
Hebephiles: Individuals attracted to children who have started puberty, usually between the ages of eleven and fourteen. (Note; my pseudonym is based on a play of this word.)

Talk about over the top. An English seven-year-old girl who got a 6000 pound gift certificate for a breast enlargement on her birthday last year got a 7000 pound gift certificate in her Christmas stocking for liposuction. The fifty-one year-old mother has spent 500,000 pounds on her own body over the years. She spent another 6,000 pounds on the girls birthday party which included manicures, pedicures and make-overs for her daughter and seven of her daughter's friends. FYI - a British pound is roughly equal to $1.55 U.S.
This is rich. The Greek government explanded their list of the disabled to include pedophiles, exhibitionists, and kleptomaniacs, and pay them a disability allowance. Some Greeks have a problem with that. I wonder, do they get special parking slots too?

Slut shaming, I never heard the expression until I saw the video on You Tube. The practice has been around for a long time, it just never had a name. It was wrong when I was young and it is wrong today. We still live in the dark ages when it come to being labeled by our actions. A guy that has multiple sex partners is a stud while a girl who has multiple partners is a slut. We all know guys seduce while girls "put out." Someday equality may come, but don't hold your breath. A six-year-old boy was charged with sexual assault by the school principal when the boy accidentally brushed up against the groin of another boy in a game of tag. The boy was suspended from school and the sexual battery charge entered on his permanent school record. The parents had to hire a lawyer who pointed out there is no such law against a six-year-old in California. The sex charge was purged from his school record and he was reinstated at another school. Isn't it sad that people this dumb are put in charge of our youth?
Off topic. A fifteen-year-old autistic boy was shot to death by police in Chicago, Il after he threatened them with a butter knife. After an internal investigation by the police the shooting was ruled justified. Fifteen? Autistic? Butter knife? Justified? Aww, come-on now. Somewhat the same thing happened in my town when a man threatened the police with a knife and was shot to death. That verdict was even more laughable, it was ruled "suicide-by-cop." How's that for a made up justification?
The super bowl was this past weekend which brings to mind: Prime time TV. Serial killings, murder, mayhem, slaughter, buckets of blood, gore, evisceration, disembowel, decapitation, disfigurement, skinning alive and dead, all good clean American fun. And people wonder why our culture is so violent prone. Show one nipple and that's a fining offense by the U.S. Government. I guess they are afraid if thirteen year old boys see that they will immediately pull out their willie and pound the pud right in front of their parents and the local vicar, or perhaps run out and rape the first girl they see. One can only wonder how many children who saw Ms. Jackson's nipple will require psychiatric treatment when they are adults. At reddit we care deeply about not imposing ours or anyone elses' opinions on how people use the reddit platform. We are adamant about not limiting the ability to use the reddit platform even when we do not ourselves agree with or condone a specific use. We have very few rules here on reddit; no spamming, no cheating, no personal info, nothing illegal, and no interfering the site's functions. Today we are adding another rule: No suggestive or sexual content featuring minors.
In the past, we have always dealt with content that might be child pornography along strict legal lines. We follow legal guidelines and reporting procedures outlined by NCMEC. We have taken all reports of illegal content seriously, and when warranted we made reports directly to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who works directly with the FBI. When a situation is reported to us where a child might be abused or in danger, we make that report. Beyond these clear cut cases, there is a huge area of legally grey content, and our previous policy to deal with it on a case by case basis has become unsustainable. We have changed our policy because interpreting the vague and debated legal guidelines on a case by case basis has become a massive distraction and risks reddit being pulled in to legal quagmire.
As of today, we have banned all subreddits that focus on sexualization of children. Our goal is to be fair and consistent, so if you find a subreddit we may have missed, please message the admins. If you find specific content that meets this definition please message the moderators ofthe subreddit, and the admins.
We understand that this might make some of you worried about the slippery slope from banning one specific type of content to banning other types of content. We're concerned about that too, and do not make this policy change lightly or without careful deliberation. We will tirelessly defend the right to freely share information on reddit in any way we can, even if it is offensive or discusses something that may be illegal. However, child pornography is a toxic and unique case for Internet communities, and we're protecting reddit's ability to operate by removing this threat. The referenced article is absolutely scary. The FBI has arrested a man for possession of child pornography without any photos of naked or sexually explicit children. His offence was posting suggestive comments on Facebook. It reminds me of the quote by Martin Neimoller, "First they came for the...." First it was photos of children with emphasis on their genitals or sexually explicit poses. Then it was any photo of a naked child. Then it could be taking pictures of children at a playground. Now you don't even need a photo. Tis a slippery slope we are sliding down. When will "Lolita" by Nabokov be banned for being too suggestive?

There are some who believe any birth control is against gods will and are doing everything in their power to make it difficult to get. First, from what I have read, the U.S. birth control mainly uses The Pill. Why? I don't know, probably because there is a lot of money to be made. It is not the most effective method on the market. The best is the latest IUD prescribed extensively in Europe. Here is a chilling statistic. Teen pregnancy (Children 15 to 19 y.o.) for the U.S. is over 50 per thousand. For children in Italy, that mecca of Catholicism the rate is 5 per thousand. Either those kids sure know how to say no or they use birth control even if it is against their religion. I wonder which is correct.
