This happened about one week ago. The girl I recently started seeing had a fire in her apartment that burned up a wall and ruined everything in the apartment with soot. Understandably, both of us were quite upset to come home from a baseball game to this ruin, but this just goes to prove that crush can happen at the strangest and most inopportune moments She's a beautiful Italian girl, about 5' 2", 23 years old, with large breasts, slim waist and since this is Spring in Texas, likes to wear strappy sandals with 2-3 inch clunky type heels. She also wears a toe ring on one foot and has her toe nails painted red at the moment. Well, this may seem like no big deal to you all, but she was giving the fireman a report and while doing this looked down at her feet to see a small black centipede of some sort. (How this got up on the 7th floor is beyond me.) She took her right foot and using the toe portion of her brown sandal ground extremely hard on the centipede, saying "Oh God, a bug. Did the fire attract bugs?"

Thing of it is, that centipede survived, probably because she was crushing it into the carpet. She walked away to do something else while I pretended to be busy. Instead I studied it, wondering if there was a way to get her to notice that her execution attempt had failed. Without any prompting from me, she later came right back to the same area and spotted it crawling a few feet away from the first kill attempt while carrying on a conversation with a clipboard-holding female apartment manager. She saw it again and said "Oh my God, bugs are invading my apartment now!" and just smashed and smashed and ground that centipede into mush. She then slid her foot on it, leaving a thin black streak, to administer the coup de gras. The female apartment manager just casually watched the killing and then the two of them just went on with their business.

I know I should have been more attentive to my girlfriend's troubles that night, but the power of crush is such that it can ambush you at the most inopportune moments.
