"I don't WANT a babysitter, damn it!" 8-year-old Robert Scott Jr. stamped
his foot petulantly.
"Robert, language!" Laura Scott, Rob's mother, never allowed profanities,
even in arguments.
"I'm sorry, Momma." Rob sounded truly apologetic. His mother hugged him,
and he hugged back tightly. However, he was not finished. "But I'm too
old to be babysat."
"That's where you're wrong, Rob." Robert Sr. knelt down by the
disappointed youngster. He put an arm around his son conspiratorially and
said. "You'll be too old for a babysitter when you can show Momma and me
that you're mature enough to be left alone without setting fire to the
kitchen."
"The fireman said it wouldn't have burned the whole house down. Besides, I
wanted to make supper!"
"Well, tonight you have a babysitter to make supper for you."
"But Dad--" The boy's argument was cut short by the doorbell.
"Saved by the bell!" Laura opened the door for their babysitter. "Come
in, Marsha! You're right on time."
The teenager bounced brightly into the Scott house, talking cheerfully and
rapidly. "Hi, Mr. Scott! Hi, Mrs. Scott! Thanks for letting me baby-sit!
You have a great house - love the entertainment center! Is this Robby?
Hi, Robby, I'm Marsha!"
"You talk too much!" Rob said shortly.
"Robert Jr.!" His father was not at all amused.
"I'm sorry, miss." The child hugged Marsha apologetically. "But you
really do talk too much. And my name is not Robby - that's for little
children. I am called Rob, just like my father. And I really am too old
for a babysitter."
"Hello, Rob." Marsha shook the boy's hand. "I'm pleased to meet you. And
even though you don't need a babysitter, I'm glad to be here, and hope we
can be friends."
Acting as a team, the Scotts gave last minute instructions, Rob Sr. to his
son, and Laura to the babysitter. Then when they were satisfied both kids
would survive the evening together, Rob and Laura were finally able to go
on their date.
The station wagon pulled away from the white split-level. Rob looked at
his wife shyly. This was their first date together in over eight years,
and he wasn't sure just how it would go. He thought they were a little too
old for the dating experience.
"Thanks for agreeing to accompany me tonight, Mrs. Scott." He said with a
grin.
"Thank you for inviting me, Mr. Scott." His wife snuggled closer to him.
"I'm sure we will have a wonderful time."
As the couple headed into Milltown, Laura turned on the radio. The only
stations on FM, of course, were a top 40 station, an oldies station, and a
couple of country stations. NPR, their usual station, was broadcasting
local debates.
"Put on the oldies station, Laura." Rob offered.
"I thought we didn't like oldies, dear."
"Better music from the sixties than the new stuff."
"You do have a point." She agreed. "It's a shame there isn't a station
that just plays 80's music."
They drove to the Hound and Pheasant, Milltown's only fancy restaurant,
holding hands to the doo-wop sound of Chubby Checker and Elvis.
They pulled into a parking space, and Rob hurried from the car to go open
Laura's door. But by the time he reached her door, she had already gotten
out and was locking it. She looked at him, and he was captivated by her
large, brown doe-like eyes.
"Rob, darling."
"Yes, my sweet?"
"Don't forget to lock your door. You know how bad crime has gotten
downtown."
Grumbling, Rob went around to lock his door. The date had not even started
yet and he was already feeling down. But as always, the sight of Laura's
curvy - some would say fat - legs peeking out from under her heavy coat put
him in a better mood.
"Shall we, my love?" Rob held out his hand for hers, and with an
exaggerated grace, she let him take her hand.
"Oh! Yes please, my dear." She leaned her head on his shoulder as they
walked slowly across the parking lot and into the fancy restaurant. "Wow,
a real date! I've been waiting for this for a long time!"
Rob looked over the candle into his wife's lovely eyes. They were warm and
inviting, and she wore just enough mascara.
"Nope, you look fine to me, dear." He said.
"Good! Usually I never can get the mascara right." She picked up the
menu. "Oh, darling, the Tuscany steak! Does that remind you of anything?"
Rob glanced at the entree - and its price. "That the mortgage payment is
due?"
Laura kicked him under the table. "No, silly! Your mother made Tuscany
steak with all those spices for us the night we announced our engagement."
"Oh, yeah! And Dad kept us having 'one more drink to celebrate' until all
four of us passed out in the living room!"
Rob and Laura laughed together at their memories, and when the waiter
appeared, they did order the Tuscany steak, and an extra glass of wine
each.
"Do you want to see how Junior's doing?" asked Rob.
"NO!" Laura said quickly. "I need a night off. Let Robby and Marsha slug
it out, just as long as I have a break. Besides," she brushed her foot up
against his slacks. "You're the only Rob I want to pay attention to just
now."
Rob idled over his meal, sipping wine and looking at his wife's glossy
black hair, the round swell of her breasts under her floral print dress.
He remembered that she never wore dresses when they were dating, only those
tight sweaters that drove him over the top. The only thing that made him
crazier was that she said she would always let him fuck her - but only if
he remembered to get condoms.
"So did you remember to get them or not?"
"Remember, umm - remember what?"
"Plywood and two-by-fours for the PTA Spring Fair. Robert Allen Scott you
haven't been listening to a word I've said all evening!"
"Laura, of course I've been listening," He lied. "Nothing could possible
be more important to me than the PTA."
"So were you thinking about my too-wide butt or my too-big boobs?"
"Boobs - well, that is--"
"Aha!" Laura kicked him harder under the table, and he jumped. "Now
listen. Tim Johnson can't get the plywood so you need to. And get an
extra sheet for Robby's science project."
"Speaking of which, why doesn't the school just provide stuff like that?
Isn't that what taxes are for?"
"Because you voted against raising local taxes, remember? I'd swear you
men think your checkbook means more than your children."
"I'm sorry, my dear. Why don't we go home, and let me make it up to you?"
Laura smiled mischievously at him, and he smiled back, his heart beating
faster. The looked into each other's eyes for a moment, then she licked
her lips and said, "I think I'll want dessert first."
Rob and Laura stepped from the Hound and Pheasant into the cold night air.
Lit from streetlights, the sky was cloudy, threatening rain. But the
couple was suffused with a warmth that came from a rich meal, too much
wine, and dinner topics that didn't have to do with their child's health or
schooling. In fact, their conversation became a bit more intimate as they
lingered over dessert and a third glass of wine.
As they walked to their car, Rob was thinking how much he loved having a
wife who thought about sex.
"Oh no!" Laura stopped in the middle of the parking lot. "I didn't tell
the babysitter about Robby's vitamins!"
"I'm sure they've already eaten, sweet." Rob liked the romantic turn their
date was taking and didn't want mundane matters to interfere. "Besides, he
can miss one night."
"You know what Doc Edwards said, 'every night until at least two months
after his wetting stops.'" She turned to go back into the restaurant. "I
for one don't want to have to change the sheets tomorrow morning."
Rob gently turned her back toward the station wagon. "At least let's use
the cell phone - that's why we have it."
But the phone was busy, even after three tries. Laura was becoming more
agitated with each attempt. Irritably, she tossed Rob's cell phone back to
him.
"Well," she decided. "We will just have to go home and make sure he takes
them."
Rob was irritated. "What about the cinema? 'Just one movie that's not
made by Disney,' remember?"
"Of course, Darling," she laid her hand on his arm and looked up into his
eyes. "Then you can tell Robby that he had to wet the bed because Daddy
had to see a movie."
"I didn't mean it that way, Laura." Big raindrops started hitting the
windshield, punctuating the downward turn the evening was taking. The
ignition groaned as Rob angrily started the car, and he backed out of the
space too quickly.
"Please wait, dear." Laura looked at him and squeezed his arm.
Impatiently, Rob hit the brakes. "I love you, and we can finish our date
another time. We're married forever, right?"
Looking at his sweet wife, Rob couldn't help but smile. "Forever and ever.
Now let's go take care of our kid."
At least traffic was light, the worsening weather keeping folks inside. In
no time they were out of Milltown and on the interstate, headed back to
River Heights, their little bedroom community. Rob merged onto the
deserted road much more easily than on his daily commute, and gunned the
engine.
As they headed toward the Heights, Laura told Rob how glad she was that he
was her husband and how lucky Robby was to have him as a father. That
lifted his spirits, but not nearly as much as her delicate hand resting on
his thigh. Picking up a little more speed, he put one arm around his wife
and kissed her.
"Hey, watch the road! And slow down - we want to get home in one piece."
"Never fear when Rob is here!" Rob squeezed her gently, and actually sped
up a little more. "I drive this stretch every day, remember?"
"My hero!" Laura rested her head on Rob's shoulder. "Get us home before
Robby's bedtime and I'll reward you for it later."
Rob didn't have to guess what his wife meant by that comment. He felt her
hand move higher, coming to rest over his privates. She squeezed him
gently, and his penis swelled in anticipation of his coming reward.
- BANG! -
The station wagon took a turn too fast and hit a guardrail. Hampered by
the slick road - and one too many glasses of wine - Rob managed to spin the
car before regaining control, and even then he skidded onto the grassy
shoulder before he stopped, and the old car's engine stalled.
He wasn't conscious of Laura screaming until she and the car both stopped.
He put his arms around his now weeping wife. She held him tightly and
buried her face in his chest.
"There, there, my dear." He soothed. "It's alright. No harm done."
"We - we should have just gone to the movie," she sobbed. "We could have
called home from the theater and, and this wouldn't have happened."
"Shh!" Rob whispered in his wife's ear. "No harm, no foul. Nobody was
hurt. Besides," he added, "there's no law against being concerned about
your kid."
Laura nodded but clung to Rob for a moment longer until she was calm again.
"Now," said Rob, glad to be in control of the situation. "Let's get this
crate home."
He tried the ignition. The engine turned over once, twice, and then
stalled again. He turned the key again with the same results. He swore
softly and tried a third time. Now the engine didn't even turn over. He
was starting to worry that the station wagon was damaged in the skid, and
then saw the cause of the problem.
"Shit, shit, shit!"
"Robert, language!"
Rob met his wife's eye, and cut off his angry retort. Instead he said,
"Sorry, Momma."
The couple laughed together, and hugged once more.
"You always know the right thing to say, Rob - even after you say the wrong
thing!" His wife kissed his cheek. "So what's wrong with old Betsy here?"
"You remember I told you yesterday I'd put gas in the tank after work?"
"You don't mean--"
"I forgot."
Laura hit Rob's arm. "You mean to tell me you took me on a date and ran
out of gas?"
Rob nodded, and they both dissolved in laughter.
"So, what do we do now?" she asked.
Rob opened his jacket and pulled out the cell phone. "Call the auto club,
of course! That's why we're members."
"Ok, thanks." Rob put away the phone.
"Well?"
"They say it's a bad night, and they won't be here for almost an hour." He
slid his arm around his wife's soft, plump shoulders and added
meaningfully, "Does that give you any ideas?"
"Yes it does, my darling." She hugged him, reached her hand inside his
jacket, and pulled out the cell phone.
"What are you doing?" This certainly was not the idea he had.
"Phoning home, silly." Laura giggled. "Marsha will want to know where we
are."
This time she got through on the first try. Rob didn't follow much of the
conversation as Laura kept stopping her sentences short, presumably
interrupted repeatedly by the boisterous babysitter. But when she
disconnected the call, his wife looked quite pleased.
"Mr. Scott, guess what your son did!"
"Burned down the house?" Rob dodged his wife's playful slap.
"He told the sitter he needed his vitamins!" His wife looked not a little
proud. "And would you believe he even told her why he needed them?"
"Of course!" Rob declared. "Junior's a level headed, very mature young
man. He's probably too old to need a babysitter!"
The couple laughed together, and hugged each other tightly. The rain had
worsened outside, and being warm and dry, and with his arms wrapped around
the love of his life, Rob was feeling very cozy.
Then Laura moved her hand down to his privates again, and Rob felt very
different feelings start to rise. Pressing firmer, she leaned in against
him. "Mr. Scott?"
"Yes, Mrs. Scott?"
"Are you going to fuck me now, or must I jump you?"
"I didn't bring any condoms."
"Oh good!" She purred. "What a perfect way to make another child
together!"
They started kissing and petting up front, but the front seat was too
cramped, with the dashboard and steering wheel. They couple hopped in back
like a pair of teenagers, and started kissing anew.
"Wait!" Said Laura.
"What's wrong?"
"I've got an idea," she said. "Help me lower the back seat."
With the seat folded down, the back of the station wagon was almost as long
as their bed, and was almost as comfortable.
"Now here's a feature that the car salesman forgot to mention," Rob mused.
"If he had," purred, Laura, "we probably wouldn't have tried to talk down
the price."
Rob tried to take off his wife's dress, an act made more difficult by her
trying to slip him out of his suit and tie. Their clumsiness together made
him feel more like a teenager, made their preparations for lovemaking fresh
and new, even after nine years of marriage.
Laura even looked younger, more innocent than ever, as she finally lay
naked atop their scattered clothes, looking at him shyly. Wordlessly, she
reached for him, and their arms entwined about each other. Their lips met
and they dissolved into each other's embrace.
Rob kissed her, or more accurately, was kissed by her - how he loved her
passionate kisses! - until he was breathless. Then he traced a line of
kisses down her neck, to her ample cleavage. Her breasts had never lost
their size and firmness when she finally weaned Junior, and Rob loved to
stroke them, to caress them, to lick and suck at her nipples, and to bury
his face between her lovely breasts.
Rob intended their sex to last much longer, but Laura purred kittenlike and
wrapped her plump thighs around his body. She was so warm, and she looked
and acted so eager for sex that Rob lost any illusion of self-control. He
pushed his wife onto her back and pushed his rock-hard member into her hot,
wet vagina.
Laura kept her legs wrapped around Rob's waist and the two rocked together,
lost in each other's embrace. He was so turned on by his hot nymphet of a
wife that he didn't even try to hold back. Pounding into Laura eagerly,
Rob came hard and fast.
Lying beside his wife, Rob didn't even think to wonder if she had an orgasm
during their frenzied coupling. All Rob could only think was that he got
lucky. Not just on their first real date as parents, but all the time from
the moment Laura first came into his life.
