Note: This story was dynamically reformatted for online reading convenience. I would like to thank Microsoft Vista for its continued unreliability. My new laptop came loaded with Vista and after downloading updates two weeks ago, I have lost all the stories saved on the hard drive. I tried to install a legal copy of XP but found out that Toshiba loses function in several accessories in XP. I hear you yelling "BACKUP" uh, yes, about that backup. The backups that I had saved to CD cannot be read either. Reload Office, have done that repeatedly and it still gives me the message "Office has encountered an error and is closing down. I am now waiting for my turn in line at the repair shop to see if it can be un-discombobulated. I am going to see if my old reliable XP based machine can get me back into operation so I don't have to re-create the 16 chapters that were in the queue for editing. Will start reposting ASAP Simon "wishing for a return to XP" JosherVista Grimlins
