Living in someone else�s shadow
can be such a tiresome thing.
No matter how I try to shine,
somehow I�m never seen.
I joke about invisibility
to hide how I really feel
about being second best, second fiddle,
second choice in everything.
No matter the circumstances,
it always seems to be,
whoever else is available,
is preferable over me.
Just don�t judge me over-harshly,
for feeling like I do,
maybe you�d feel the same as me,
if you took a few steps in my shoes.
