(MF, suspense, erotic, prosexual) <-> Jessica ran down the unfamiliar suburban streets like she was in a race. Purse clutched to her chest, she chose her turns at whim. Male laughter filled the amber-lit night, taunting her as they gave chase, but she had a great lead. The night air was cool, but did not burn her lungs. She didn't waste her energy screaming for help, because she didn't plan to slow down long enough for anyone to ask questions. They would not catch her. Her sister had been right. The house party was a bad idea. Her new found friend had set her up for a surprise gang bang. A large house loomed as she sprinted up the hill. All the other houses had lights on the porch, lights through the windows, perfectly mowed lawns. This one had tall trees, bushes, no lights. Jessica scanned the yard for possible hiding locations. No, that would not keep her safe. She hoisted herself up the lattice, thankful that it supported her weight, and climbed onto the second floor porch. The boys caught up to her. "Get back here you crazy bitch!" One of them barked with a hushed voice. She tried the first window, but the latch was in the locked position. The next one over, however, wasn't. She could find a bathroom or closet to hide in for a couple hours, maybe duck into a closet. "Listen, Jess. We'll go away. Stop that!" "Get down, Jess." "You don't want to go in there." The window opened. Jessica looked back with a triumphant grin. They wouldn't get to her now, and didn't appear to be trying. The three of them were arguing on the street. One of them stepped toward the house and the other two snatched him back, causing him to stumble backwards. Why were they afraid of the house? Jessica straddled the window sill, half in, half out. Street light illuminated the room. Empty. Drop cloths covered a few pieces of furniture. Nothing on the walls. Faint smell of paint. Jessica crawled inside. If they were too afraid to follow her then she was safe. Better here than at their mercy. No matter their fears, she remembered why she'd run all this way. They would claim she asked for it, wanted it. Adrenaline fading, Jessica shuddered as the tears fell. The creak of a distant floor board brought her to sudden silence. She breathed softly, but didn't move. Was someone actually living here? She heard, or imagined she heard, the stress of more wood, but quieter. Don't be stupid, she thought. Be calm. "Um," Jessica cleared her throat and spoke up. "I'm sorry if this house isn't empty." She drew a shaky breath. "Please let me stay here. I won't leave this room. I won't touch anything, but if I leave." Jessica bit down on her lip, a small sob followed. No one was there, and yet, she couldn't shake the oppressive feeling near her. Maybe it was an evil ghost. "Just until morning, please? I need somewhere to hide. I won't be trouble. Please let me hide here." Now that she'd promised not to move, she feared getting up to find a comfortable spot to sleep, away from the draft of the windows. Should have thought about that first. She shivered on the hardwood floor, the sweat and adrenaline left her a mess. She ran a finger along the floor board, not as dusty as she expected. How did she mistake this place as condemned? Given the paint, maybe they were fixing it up. Without bothering with the yard? What did she really hear? What if she really broke into someone's home? Worse, a real, frightening someone's home? She looked around the dark room again. Home improvement would explain the empty walls and covered furniture. None of them looked to be in the shape of a bed. No closet to hide in. What would she do in the morning? Climb back out the window? Find the boys keeping watch down the block? What if the owner called the police, had her arrested? Wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake? She would have escaped a gang bang just to land in jail for breaking and entering. Jessica bit back the tears. No one was on the other side of the door. The house was empty. She was safe. She needed to rest and regain the strength to find her way home. Easier said than done. Her eyes opened every few minutes. She slept maybe an hour at most before lying awake, staring into the dark, wondering about every groan and creak. At some point, she managed more than an hour. She rubbed her eyes and shifted, then stiffened as her memory kicked in. She eased the heavy blanket off her body and looked around. Strange house. Same room. Hard floor. Same night. She stared at the blanket as if it would attack her. Breathe, she reminded herself. You're still alive. She pulled the covers down further and discovered another surprise: a bottle of water, a cereal bar, and a candy bar. Wasn't much to fear thus far. The police had not been called to arrest her. She found her purse as she left it, tucked under her belly. She crawled over to the window. It was locked now. She looked out, but didn't see much going on in the world. Would anyone care that she was gone? She looked over her shoulder at the 'continental' breakfast. What should she do? Walk back to the home of her would-be rapist and ask for a ride? And how?! She didn't exactly stop to take down street names while running for her life. She promised to leave though, and the sun would be up soon. Jessica stood and stretched her stiff muscles. Her cotton mouth and full bladder gently reminded her of present concerns. She folded the blanket and tucked the cereal bar into her purse. She carried the bottle of water to the door. The indecision hurt, physically. She stood there, staring at the door, paralyzed by her doubts. She turned the door knob, pulled an inch at a time. The house looked as empty as she thought it was, no electrical hum, no music, no light other than what filtered in from the pre-dawn glow. She listened for movement, waiting for the question: what are you still doing here? She scanned the hallway as her eyes adjusted. Most of the other doors were closed. All but one, a thinner one. She walked slowly to the door, looking all about, her nerves on edge. It was a bathroom, dark, small. She found a light switch but didn't use it. She tested the toilet's handle. There was a water in the tank. Good enough, tinkle and go. She hovered, and thought about the plight of the jack rabbit, alone in the forest surrounded by wolves, just trying to get back home safe. She flushed, grabbed her purse, water and stepped quick and light back to the room she'd come from. "You can stay." Jessica screamed. Screamed again. If she hadn't just used the bathroom she was sure she would have lost her bladder. She spun around, looking for the speaker and saw nothing. She placed a hand to her hammering heart. Did she hear correctly? She could stay? Her mind thought back to her pursuers, their fear. The voice had been male. She took a few deep breaths. Even if it was a male, he gave her a blanket while she slept. He shut the window, provided her with breakfast. He could have drugged her, dragged her to the basement, chained her to a table. He didn't have to wait for her to wake up. "Okay." Her voice betrayed her anxiety, but she gave up on leaving. Where would she go? How would she get there? Her legs felt like jelly. Jessica sat cross legged on the hallway floor with her back to the wall. She needed to breathe. She pulled in steady amounts of air in an effort to soothe her nerves. Did someone really talk? Maybe she imagined it. Was it really male? No doubt about that one. She opened the water, the crack of the plastic seal echoed. She took a tiny sip. It tasted normal. She nursed the bottle, waiting for the slightest sign of dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, slowing heart beat... Jessica turned the bottle up as she drank the last bit. Her legs throbbed from the earlier sprint. She stood and winced as she stretched. The pain would only get worse. She took each step with care, waiting for another disembodied message. She took them down, hearing the tiny creak from last night and smiled. She had truly heard something. Something was really in the house with her. Some one. You hope, Jessica's mind taunted. Bottom of the stairs, in view of a couch and the door. She chose the couch. Soft. Quiet. She didn't know if that door was open or not. She already agreed to stay, chill out. She tested the couch. It seemed all right. "My name is Jessica," she said, not knowing where he may be. "I apologize for breaking in, but it was this or ... let them catch me." "Why were they chasing you?" Jessica's head snapped to the voice. In front of her, in the next room. There wasn't a door, but she couldn't make out anything. Beyond the doorway was only darkness. And how would she answer that? "To force themselves onto me, sexually." Jessica wished she had more water. "I rode to their house with a friend for a party. I'd never been there, and I don't know how far I ran." She stopped. No one liked a chatter box. What had she even said? "You out ran them?" "Yes," Jessica answered with a small bubble of pride. "And thanks for the blanket, the protection, the food and water. I appreciate it." The silence stretched out. Jessica lay down on the couch. The leather felt cool on her skin. She buried her head in her arms and pretended to fall asleep. Maybe she could catch another hour or so. She nearly fell asleep before she saw movement in the doorway, slow and cautious. Alarms went off in her mind. It, he, sat in a chair near the couch, barely making a sound as he did so, only the softest rustle. He didn't seem normal. Jessica wasn't sure how, but her flight or fight response went wild. "You are awake." "Yes." "Afraid?" "Kinda." She didn't move to lift her head. She watched him through the crack in her arms. "Me too." Oh? Well, if he wasn't human then sure, maybe he had an overwhelming desire to eat her. But if he was scared ... was he deformed? Maybe he was a vampire. That would explain the darkness. But the sun would be up soon. He asked her to stay, not to leave. It had to be something else. Jessica's back began to hurt. She noticed that she'd been coiled up, waiting for the worse. She rolled her shoulders, tried to relax. "Do you believe in fate?" "You think fate led me to seek shelter here?" "Yes, I do." "Why?" "For us to meet, of course." Of course. She propped up on her elbow. He looked covered in a thick dark robe. It made him look like a reaper, and that did nothing for her peace of mind. "I can't properly meet you with that robe on. You know how that makes you look, right?" "You want me to take it off?" Such a trick question. Jessica lay there in silence. Was that all he had on? Did he look different? How was she supposed to answer? "Keep it on for now." Jessica pushed herself up right. "Come down to the basement with me." He stood and walked toward that dark doorway. Basement. With a cloaked man in the dark. In a strange house. Jessica pushed to her feet and winced. Where was she going to run? She put her hand to the door frame. Pitch black in front of her. "I can't see." Firelight flickered from the candle on the wall. He extinguished the lighter in his hand. "Better?" She could see the steps now, a few of them. "Yes." He took her hand and led the way. He had large hands, but not clammy or rough. He wasn't a boy, that was for sure. Jessica found herself leaning onto him for support. "Are you injured?" "I think I pulled a muscle. I didn't have time to warm up before they chased me." He led her over to a chair. When she sat, he kneeled by her feet and reached for her leg. Jessica twitched but did not pull away. Her eyes widened as he massaged her calf. Was he really doing this? She couldn't bring herself to stop him, those hands were too perfect. Wasn't this how she got in trouble the first time? Well, it wouldn't have been trouble if the boy had just kept her to himself instead of trying to share her with the room. "Why were they afraid to follow me?" Jessica asked as his fingers reached her thighs. "Because I would have hurt them, as I do to any unwelcome guest." Points for honesty. The next question was easy. "What made me an exception?" "That they chased you here." His hands rested on her knees. "May I continue?" "Depends on how far you're trying to go." Jessica chewed her tongue. How far was she willing to let the reaper in the local freak house go? "Depends on how deeply you ache." He started with her left thigh. Jessica swallowed thickly. Who is the hell was this man and what in the world had she gotten herself into? Did she want to get out of it? He put himself between her open thighs when he switched to her right. The apprehension and worry Jessica needed to feel were set aside by the effectiveness of his hands. He wasn't playing. She'd had plenty of massages after a meet, and he knew what he was doing, working her muscles so that they could begin to heal. "Get on the floor." The section of the basement they were in had a plush feeling carpet covering the floor. She lay on her back. Her leg rest in his lap while he worked her muscle. It probably would have been much better with some kind of oil or lotion, but beggars shouldn't be choosers. "What's your name?" "Xavier." "Do you live alone?" "The others won't return for several days." What was he hiding behind that robe? What did it matter? What if he tries to hurt you? Unlike the people she ran away from? If he was trying to bring her harm, he had a fucked up way of going about it. "I think you should take off that robe now." "Turn over and take off your dress." Jessica sat up, rose to her knees, and lifted her dress up and over her head. She kneeled before him in her underwear. No bra, her nipples standing in sharp relief. When he didn't move or say anything she stretched out on her stomach. "You should take off your robe." She lay with her head turned to the left and a black robe collapsed just beyond her ability to see. She knew how to ask for it, and truth be told, that's what she was doing. He started at the small of her back along her spine. His thumbs worked into her muscles, relaxing and sedating her. The sun would be up by now, but there were no windows down here. What if he hurts you? Then will you stay so still? His tongue licked along the base of her neck, slow and lazy. Jessica squirmed and let him have his moment. She arched her hips back and met his erection, it nestled in the crack of her ass. She squirmed as he kissed her neck. "Do want me to fuck you?" "Yes," she whispered. That's how it was supposed to work. The question along with her answer. Permission. She sighed as the head of his cock eased into her passage. She still hadn't seen his face, his body. Better that she didn't. What he looked like didn't matter. She'd never see him again. He placed his hands on her hips and thrust deep inside her. Jessica moaned. He felt substantial, thick. She rocked her hips back, meeting his thrusts. After her crazy night, this was the perfect way to end it. "You like that?" "Yes." "I find it hard to believe you'd run from this." He eased his hand around and began to rub her clitoris. The words took a few seconds to make it to the reasoning part of her brain. "I prefer my lovers one at a time." "Lucky for me." She grinned. Perhaps lucky for her too. <-> Epilogue: I originally wrote this and revealed that he was deformed, a bit of a freak, and I still imagine he is that way, or any number of things. My version of erotic horror has the fear come first and the eros second. Written: March 2010 Contact: nysidra at hot mail dot comHauntedHouse
