Black Oceans: Part One
Chapter One
Carter's breathe was heavy, his heart was pounding, and he was sweating more than he ever had in his life. Second thoughts kept rushing through his head, he knew this was a death sentence if caught, probably even with an extended stay (for the complimentary torture). But there was no turning back now it would be a great waste of time and resources put into this operation.
Carter was a junior detective at his precinct, and for the sixth consecutive year. He was desperate for a promotion and the much needed pay raise that came with it. As such, he was hungry for action. He followed any lead that he came by no matter how dirty or dangerous it sounded. Because of this, Carter was a roughed up guy. In his mid-thirties with more scars and injuries than a careered MMA fighter. Blood and bruises did not stop him though, it was the only life he knew how to live.
For the past 5 months, Carter had been following what seemed to be a myth. A lead that if true, would make his career. There it was. Months of following dead leads and countless hours spent casing harbors, he finally found it. The Cho New Yorker(maybe make it no name)( able to escape naming by loophole there fore made it hard to find). A large freight ship used for shipping containers moved from Beijing to New York.
