A Roman Holiday Zelamir 2nd century AD; Brittanny, Rome I do not have a detailed knowledge of Roman history. This story is a fantasy set in a fantasy Roman Empire. I do not pretend to historical accuracy. I would say however that deeds of manumission did, in the later empire particularly, sometimes have a provision by which the freed slave was obliged to hand over his eldest child to his old master as a slave on the child attaining a specified age - usually some what younger than that specified in the deed in this story. One problem in writing a quasi-historical story is language. Do you use colloquial English in reporting speech and have a son referring to his father as Dad or do you go to the other extreme and pepper the story with paters and magisters and dominus's? I have tried for a middle course aiming for a slightly formal old fashioned style except when masters are addressing slaves when the language is as brutal and coarse as possible. You may find the first two to three parts heavy going. They set the scene for the story that follows. Sejanus / The Traitor's Son Zelamir (adapted by Pueros) 31-32 AD; Rome and surroundings Lucius Aelius Sejanus (20 BC – October 18, 31 AD) was an ambitious soldier, friend and confidant of Tiberius, and for a time the most influential and feared citizen of Rome. He was appointed praetorian prefect on the accession of Tiberius, as the colleague of his father. On his father's appointment to the governorship of Egypt in 15, he became sole commander of the Praetorian Guard, and began to increase his power. After the death of Tiberius' son Drusus in 23, Sejanus consolidated his power over the Senate. Despite failing in an attempt to marry Drusus' widow Livilla in 25, which would have made him part of the ruling house, he increased his power further upon Tiberius' retirement to Capri in 27. In the ensuing years Sejanus consolidated his own position. In 31, despite his equestrian rank, he shared the consulship with Tiberius, and finally became betrothed to Livilla. Sejanus felt his position was unassailable, and plotted to seize power for himself. Tiberius discovered the plot, however, and chose Macro, prefect of the Vigiles, to replace Sejanus as prefect of the Praetorian Guard and accomplish Sejanus’ downfall. Simultaneously Tiberius wrote a letter to the Senate denouncing Sejanus, where he was arrested and condemned to death. That evening (October 18) Sejanus was strangled and his body cast onto the Gemonian stairs, where the mob tore it to pieces. Many of Sejanus' friends and allies were executed or committed suicide after his fall. His three children were similarly executed. In this story, however, one of the three survived, and his story is told. Zelamir's original story was named Sejanus and published in 30 parts. From 2003 Pueros reworked the story and published his adapted and enlarged version with the title The Traitor's Son on Nialos Leaning and Eunuch Archive. These both versions are not completely identical. For the Eunuch version some side stories were included with the castration theme. If anyone wants to compare both versions, Pueros' chapters are here indicated and linked to his version. For these chapter numbers the Nialos version have been used. In 2005 the author started to revise and amend the original story, including a changed ending, for the Nialos site by the author. The new version is still unfinished. The Queen requested that they mate, contending that the product of their union would be the greatest warrior in history. Alexander, amused and intrigued by the solicitation, obliged but, alas, their brief liaison was not fruitful. However, this three-part story attempts to describe the normal rituals carried out by the Amazons to identify suitable males for the purposes of reproduction, what the consequences were if the candidates did not meet their exacting standards and what happened when they were later deemed to have served their purpose. Geisha Boys - 1941 Bill (Story Guy) 1941; (b/t/M; historical) Story set in the future, This story is a work of fiction. My idea for it came from reading accounts of the practice of the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II of "recruiting" young women, including young teenage girls, into military brothels. I have drawn from the movie "Empire of the Sun" from about 10 years ago, to come up with a scenario of American and European boys in a Japanese internment camp, serving the sexual desires of Japanese officers who appreciate the erotic appeal of boys in the 12 to 15 age range. The activities in the story are consensual (though the historical model was clearly otherwise), and there is no physical abuse of minors by adults. Princes What Really Happened To The Princes In The Tower Pueros 1483-1485; England, Constantinople, Teheran In 1483, 12 years old Edward, Prince of Wales and rightfully the new King, and his 9 years old brother Richard, Duke of York, were imprisoned in the Tower of London whilst their uncle, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, usurped the throne, becoming Richard III. The Princes, sons of the late monarch, Edward IV, later disappeared, presumed murdered by their uncle. However, your author has read a number of contemporary 15th and 16th century sources, many postulating other explanations for the boys’ disappearance.
