Susan stood there in shock. The unthinkable had happened. Master was dead. He lay there on the floor face down. He just collapsed. She had called to him and tried to wake him up but there was no response from him. It was only when his body started to grow cold that Susan realized he was actually dead. She had been with master for nearly five years now. The reason she found it so hard to believe he was dead was because of the therapy he had undergone. Years ago he had invented a way to keep himself young forever. He could also regrow lost body parts. It all had to do with the cells...
Now that master was dead what was she to do? And more importantly if he was dead...what would happen to her? As far as she knew she had the same kind of cells as him...that drug...She remembered how eager she was to undergo that therapy...she remembered how she woke up in that room..."young and beautiful forever..." was what he had told her... It was true that since undergoing the therapy she had become young again. It was also true that she had not aged one day in five years. But she had paid a heavy price for eternal youth. She was now a slave...a slave whose master was now dead...
It was several hours before she finally got dressed and left masters house. She had no idea where she was going to go or what she was going to do. She knew that she had a life before master but she could not remember what that was...The sun was starting to set and the wind was growing cold... She spotted an abandoned house sitting on top of a large hill. Clouds were starting to form in the darkening sky and by the looks of then there was a storm on the way. She ran up the hill to the house. She turned the doorknob and was mildly surprised when it opened. She went inside.
Inside it looked fairly maintained. There was an old brick fireplace in the living room and some old furniture. There was surprisingly only a thin layer of dust on most of the furniture. Apparently the house had been abandoned only recently or had been lived in for a short while not too long ago. She heard thunder and the sound of raindrops falling. She could spend the night here but what would she do tomorrow? The sky darkened to a purple color. Susan laid down on the dusty couch listening to the rain as it fell onto the roof. the noise soon lulled her off to sleep.
The morning sun filtered through the dusty windows. Susan stirred to life. After a debate with herself she left the house. She headed down the road towards a city that master had often spoke about. She walked down the road for nearly an hour and was ready to give up when she spotted buildings in the distance. They were houses. There were streets that went past those houses. She continued walking and soon came upon large buildings and crowded streets. There were people everywhere. On the streets there were cars honking. The noise level was very loud. suddenly a hand grabbed her from behind.
A man dragged her into an alleyway. "Give me all your money bitch!" he said to her. She turned around to see who it was. He was dirty and was dressed in ragged clothing. "I have no money." she said to him "Liar! I want your money now bitch!" he said to her. "I have no money." she said to him again. He took the knife and slit her throat. He waited for her to fall to the ground but she just stood there. The mans eyes went wide as he watched the wound heal on her neck. Within seconds it was healed. "What the? what the fuck!" he screamed. He stabbed her several times in the chest then ran off.
Susan had no idea why the guy went nuts. She turned around and left the alleyway. As she walked down the sidewalk people gasped in horror. The knife was still in her chest. She ignored them and continued walking. Many people were now panicking. there were shouts like "Call 911" and "She needs a doctor" and things like that. A policeman soon grabbed Susan and radioed for an ambulance. Within minutes one arrived and she was loaded onto it. The paramedics could not believe that she was alive much less OK. The knife was sticking out of her chest only a few inches. The paramedics were sure that it had damaged her internal organs. One pulled it out and expected to see blood coming out. The wound closed and healed. The paramedics eyes grew wide as salad bowls.
The ambulance arrived at a hospital where Susan was placed in a small room. The people in that ambulance could not believe what they had seen. She could hear then talking in low voices but could not make out what they were saying. Soon after that One of them came into the room. "Miss. I would like to take a blood sample from you please." he said to her. "Ok. what's a blood sample?" she asked him. He didn't answer her. He took what looked like some kind of pin out of a paper wrapper. He pricked one of her fingers with it. He managed to get one drop of blood out of it before the wound closed up and healed itself. The man left the room and shut the door.
"This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen!" said one of the doctors. "Yes, her cells seem to have the ability to regenerate at a very rapid rate!" said another doctor. "Do you think we should let 'them' know what we found?" asked another. "Yes. this is probably the most important find in the history of medical science! they should indeed know about it!" said another doctor.
It was an hour later. Three men dressed in black entered the room where Susan was. Without speaking they withdrew a gun and fired it at her. Something pricked her in the stomach. She felt drowsy. The men started walking towards her. She blacked out soon afterwards.
She woke up in this strange chair. She was naked except for all the wires and tubes hooked to her body. She could see men dressed in white lab coats walking around and checking the computer screens. One noticed that she was awake and called the others. They all gathered around her mumbling to themselves. One man who seemed to be in charged told them all to leave. They left the room and she was alone with this man. He looked about fifty and had hard cold eyes. "So Miss. We know about your strange powers. Now we want to know where is it that you got them from." he said to her. "I will not say." she said to him. He smiled. "We of course have ways of making you talk." he said to her.
A man wearing another lab coat came into the room wheeling a cart with several different needles on it. He wheeled the cart in front of the chair then turned around and disappeared back the way he came. "These hypodermic needles contain several different types of powerful truth serums." he said to her. She watched in horror as he picked up the first needle...
It was an hour later. He had injected her with 15 different types of truth serum and still could get no answer from her. Angry and frustrated he took her to a small padded room and locked her inside. He went to check with his comrades. "I can't believe this! I pumped that bitch full of enough truth serum to kill a horse and still she won't talk!" he said as he entered the room. " "Maybe her body can process and destroy it before it reaches her brain." said one of his comrades. "It looks like we need to use stronger methods to get her to talk." said a third. "I know! Lets hook her to the computer! We can transfer her memories and save them to disk. Then we can search through them." said a fourth. There were murmurs of agreement throughout the room.
Susan sat in the small padded cell. She had no idea what they were going to do to her next. It didn't really matter anyway. "There's no way they can hurt me...could they?" she thought to herself. She heard footsteps approaching the cell door. Whoever was on the other side paused for a second. She saw the lock turn and the door opened. A man entered the cell. He was tall with black hair. He was not wearing a lab coat. He walked over to her. "Face it buddy, there's no way to get me to talk!" she said to him. He paused "Susan..." he said to her. She looked at him in mild surprise. "How did you know my name?" she asked him.
He said nothing instead he pulled out a small knife. He held up one of his fingers. He cut it with the knife. The wound he left began to heal very fast. In seconds it was healed. "I know all about you." he said to her. "Listen. They will be coming for you soon. They plan to hook you up to their computer. It will extract the information that they want from you." he said to her. "What do I do?" she asked him. "Come with me." he said to her. "Why? You are not my master!" she said to him. "No I am not. Your master died due to a defect in the drug he took long ago." he said to her. "Come with me and I will explain." he said to her.
She reluctantly agreed to go with him. They left the cell. She noticed that the guards were all asleep. They approached a locked door. What happened next is something that she would have never believed had not she seen it herself. His finger changed shape and turned a silvery color. It formed a key and he unlocked the door with it. "How The fuck did you do that?" she asked him. "I'll explain later." he said to her. She followed him and was surprised each time he unlocked another door by reshaping his finger.
After going through several more doors she found herself outside of the building. She followed him down a hillside and to a beat up looking armored car. He did that strange finger-key thing and unlocked the door. They got inside the van. He started it up and they drove off. They drove for about 20 minutes before he pulled over. "Ok Now I will explain my 'talents'" he said. "The drug you and your now dead master took has three different versions of it. Your master took the first version of it which has several defects. One being that it generates defective proteins which over time can damage organs to the point where the person dies. the second version of the drug is the one you were given. It has no defects so you don't have to worry about kicking at 50 or 60 years of age." he said to her.
This news allowed her to breathe a sigh of relief. "But what about this third version?" she asked him. "Yes, the third version is the one I took. It has all the same effects of the second version plus something new...I can turn my entire or part of my body into anything that is found in the human body. Including metals, that's how I made those 'Finger keys'" he said to her. She had to believe it. There was no other explanation for how he had done those things. He Pulled away from the curb and drove off. She had no idea where he was taking her.
As he drove she started to get drowsy. It was not long before she was asleep. She dropped off in the front seat of the armored car....
She woke up in what looked like a bedroom. It was decorated in a rich ornate style. It looked like the kind of room someone would find in a large mansion. She sat up and saw that same guy who had gotten her out of that lab. He had been sitting there waiting for her to wake up. When she sat up he got up out of the chair. "Welcome to my home." he said to her. She looked around the room. "Why did you bring me here?" she asked him. "Take a guess..." he said to her. "No...You are not my master!" she said defiantly. "You have two choices. One: you willingly become my slave. Two: I let you go and you get hunted down by those lab guys...They will never stop searching for you... This is your only safe place..." he said to her.
"What can they do to me anyway?" she asked him. "They can extract information from you. They can keep you locked up...They will not let you go. They would never want to risk the so called 'other side' getting their hands on you so they would keep you locked in a cage for the rest of your life...and believe me that's a long time...maybe forever..." he said to her. "Someday they may find a way to destroy you... Do you want that?" he asked her. "No..." she said to him. "Then accept me as your new master." he said to her. "I don't know...um...fine." she said.
He smiled. "Ok. Look at my eyes." he said to her. She looked up. His eyes started to glow...They brightened to a glowing reddish color. She started to feel dizzy... Her thoughts were becoming jumbled...Her mind felt like it was collapsing... Soon the ornate decorations blurred and swirled into a mess of colors... Then everything went black...
Soon light started to return. It was just colors and fuzzy shapes at first but it soon started to sharpen... Susan found herself in a bedroom with her...master...Her memories of what had happened up to this point were dim and fuzzy. She felt like she had been in that room before with him...but it was too vague to be sure of... All she knew of was her master and how to obey him. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back at her. He had used another one of his many talents on her... he reshaped her mind... now she was his. "Two people like us have a lot of potential." he told her.
