The Virus - Part One

It was July 2017 when people first began to notice the change. Reports from around the world came in, although at first nobody really took much notice - after all it had been a seemingly harmless virus that hadn't made anybody sick, hadn't killed anybody and hadn't seemed to have had any real effect at all. In fact, if it wasn't for the various medical studies going on around the world that all noticed this odd virus appear at just about exactly the same time, and then seemingly disappear as well, it is likely that nobody would have known what had happened. And yet this virus would have such an impact on the world as it was known in the years to come that the Spanish Flu of 1918 seemed fairly minor in comparison.

After being noted by so many people at once, and eventually making news beyond medical journals and various internet bulletin boards, the fact that the virus seemed to just disappear without a trace meant that most people just forgot about it. Doctor's who had announced its existence were ridiculed for finding "the nice virus" or the "non virus" as it became known. However, as studies of it continued onwards throughout the next few months, by which time it appeared as though every person in the world had been "infected", it became clear that this wasn't quite as simple as had previously been thought. The virus did have an effect, and a quite scary one at that.

It was the fertility clinics that probably noticed this effect first, as business started to boom for them. It's well known that after 35, and particularly after 40, it becomes much more difficult for a woman to become pregnant. Changes in fertility patterns had continued throughout the first two decades of the 21st century, with many women putting off childbirth until later and later, with the number of woman over 35 having children increasing dramatically.

Within three months of the virus having spread around the world in almost a flash, no doubt aided by the fact that there were no visible signs of infection and seemingly no effects whatsoever of infection, the number of woman aged over 35 becoming pregnant began to decline rapidly. Midwives began to notice this trend quicker than anybody else, as often individuals just put things down to bad luck and tried again. But all around the world, midwives began to notice dramatic reductions in the number of pregnancies occurring to older women. Those over 40 booking themselves a midwife had totally disappeared within two months, while after four months it was rare for any woman over 35 to find herself pregnant.

It was November 2017 by the time serious alarm bells began to ring for the general population. News reports in New Zealand showed statistics that the last woman able to conceive over the age of 40 had been back in June, and that nobody over 35 had conceived yet in the last two months. There seemed to be no problems for younger women, although worrying signs that the process may yet continue. For a few weeks it seemed like the news was about nothing else - with fertility experts enjoying celebrity status in trying to figure out the cause of this crisis, groups from all walk of life promoting random mixes of chemicals and foods that would supposedly stop the crisis, but with so many more questions than answers. In fact, it took a few weeks before the change was linked to the virus which had strangely spread around the world only a few months earlier.

By January 2018 the world was in a crisis not seen for 80 years. The trend had not stopped, and although women were not losing their babies once pregnant, it had become exceedingly rare for any woman over 30 to manage to conceive. Scared of missing out if things continued, reports showed that women in their 20s were getting pregnant in unprecedented numbers. This would balance out the problems experienced by those over 30 in the mean time - argued the fatigued experts - but eventually if the process continued and infertility struck down all women it could conceivably mean the end of the human race.

Various problems were blamed for the crisis, from global warming to acid rain, while women from remote tribes were studied to find whether they could still conceive. Unfortunately, through the merest contact with the outside world, traces of the mystery virus rendered them slowly infertile as well. In any case, they would have offered little consolation to the hundreds of millions of women around the world who doctors had now confirmed were completely infertile - their ovaries rapidly aged by the virus to the extent where they had gone through menopause, even though some were as young as their late 20s.

The second main effect of the virus was beginning to appear by February 2018, although doctors had predicted that it might occur a couple of months beforehand. Just as the virus had matured women's ovaries to the extent where they were now deemed infertile, the same effect was occurring on pre-menstrual girls. However, this meant that the age of puberty for girls was decreasing rapidly, almost at the same rate as infertility was terrorizing middle-aged women.

For many families this just added to the nightmare they had been going through as not only could the mother not conceive anymore, but now their daughters as young as 5 were getting their periods. Distressed primary school teachers around the world spoke of female pupils starting to bleed in class and not knowing what was happening to them. Realizing that there seemed to be nothing that could be done, training advice was quickly given out to all parents and teachers, with pads distributed to schools around the world, and extra counselors hired to provide advice and support in such a trying time.

2018 proved to be one of the most chaotic and panicked years ever in the history of the world. As the gift of fertility was slowly taken away from most, and the added stresses of girls of even pre-school age going through puberty, it was a year of heartbreak for such a large proportion of the population as had not been felt since the Second World War.

Scientists around the world were unable to avert the crisis, although funds like had never been seen before began to flood into fertility studies and other related attempts to avert the crisis. Added to that, by the end of the year maternity wards in hospitals around the world were flooded with an unprecedented boom of newborn babies, with a significant proportion of women 35 and younger taking their last opportunity to have children.

Throughout the year the crisis had not only remained, but it had continued to deepen. By July, only a year after the virus had first appeared, reports of successful conceptions became almost newsworthy. Often the mother would be particularly young, as teenagers as yet appeared unaffected by the virus - as studies showed their reproductive organs had indeed been aged, but only to an extent where they were now similar to a woman in her late 30s, and were still therefore able to naturally conceive. Attempts to surgically create eggs, or to transfer them from one person to another, seemed to have a much higher failure rate than ever before, as science as a whole seemed unable to rise to this unprecedented challenge.

Most sobering of all, while the age of oldest conception was no longer decreasing as fast as it had back at the start of the year, it still showed no signs of relenting. In fact, after April 2019 fertility experts confirmed that all women over the age of 18 were now officially infertile, and not only were they unable to create eggs, but that their wombs would reject any attempt to carry a previously fertilized egg from someone else. No amount of drugs or research could appear to do anything about this problem, and for once teenagers started to be encouraged to get themselves pregnant by some groups of society, while the moral debate of what to do if the problem continued further dominated all news and current events programs like nothing before. It was a crisis of an unprecedented scale.

By the end of 2019 the oldest age of conception had decreased to 14, and the number of pregnancies had dried up to almost a trickle. The boom of the previous two years had now subsided as debate raged through countries across the world regarding what could be done to solve "The Baby Crisis". Some groups argued that the age of consent for sex would have to be lowered, as in most places it was now technically illegal to conceive a baby, the very thing deemed necessary for the survival of the human race.

For the first time ever, the world's population stagnated, and then officially began to decrease. In some countries pragmatism had over-ridden idealism and young pregnant teenagers had become a common sight. However, because their reproductive organs were now the equivalent of a 37-year-old woman's, often girls as young as 13 or 14 found it exceptionally difficult to conceive - because from a fertility point of view they were too old rather than too young. Prosecutions for statutory rape soared, but then plummeted as lawyers effectively argued that preserving the human species was surely something that over-rode such a crime. Laws began to catch up with the situation, allowing some level of sexual contact with younger teenagers with their clear consent as well as limiting the age difference between participants.

Simultaneously, as the oldest age of conception continued to decrease, the age of puberty also continued to decrease - becoming particularly widespread among preschoolers. Studies by the end of 2019 showed that almost without exception every girl over the age of 3 had reached puberty, and on some occasions girls as young as 1 or 2 were getting their periods.

2020 proved to be the year the world caught up with the dramatic change of the previous two and a half years, and finally began to get on with life again - although in a way that was totally inconceivable only a few years earlier. Fewer and fewer teenage girls found themselves able to conceive, even though the legality of sexual relations had become liberated by almost all countries around the world. Some places had been more careful than others, with the religious right claiming that this was the end of the world and nothing could be done to stop it, while others began to pragmatically assess how the continued survival of the human species could be ensured.

There was a great fear that schools would begin to empty, already baby goods suppliers had come off their 2018 boom to a horrible absence of demand as it seemed that nobody was able to conceive anymore. However, a landmark study in Australia, released in May 2020 outlined the way forward for countries hoping to ensure their survival - and even though what it proposed was unacceptable to so many people, it slowly began to spread around the world and gain more and more followers.

The study confirmed that the virus had caused "The Baby Crisis", by ageing the reproductive organs of all females. According to the study within a year no female older than the age of 9 would be able to conceive a child - but offered hope in the form that the age would no longer decrease beyond 9, that the survival of humanity was indeed possible. Theoretical studies had shown that the reproductive organs of children as young as 3 were able to carry a baby - although delivery via c-section would be necessary for almost all births. It outlined alternatives, showing that although the human species would survive without more births for another 80 or so years, that the demographic imbalance would be catastrophic in the medium term - destroying economies and inevitably leading to conflict on an unprecedented scale. Indeed, the option it proposed - encouraging all girls between the age of 3 and 9 to have the ability to choose if they wished to become pregnant - was almost the only option left that did not include the end of human kind.

Once the study had been published, and began to gain widespread acceptance from most people - as necessary although incredibly scary for them, especially those with young daughters - governments began to develop ways of implementing changes that would ensure their country's survival while at the same time ensuring that the rights of their most precious citizens, and most vulnerable, were protected.

New Zealand was one of the first countries to come up with such a scheme. Law changes removed all references to a minimum age for consensual sex - replacing them with The Population Recovery Act. Although this was meant to be temporary, until some sort of scientific breakthrough could be made to reverse the effects of the virus, most scientists and politicians realized that it was likely to be permanent and the only way to ensure that babies continued to be born.

The Population Recovery Act placed special restrictions on conception of new babies - aimed to ensure that the young girls who were the only ones able to conceive were protected. Initially it had been proposed that artificial means of fertilization should be the only form allowed, as this meant the young girls would be able to get pregnant without having to go through the trauma of having sex. However, various studies quickly showed that conception rates through this method were horrifically low, as eggs would simply not be fertilized by sperm which had passed through an external object, and similarly non-penetrative sex was rarely successful in achieving conception.

So instead, the Act made no attempt to curb the use of penetrative sex in achieving conception, but rather focused on ensuring that the process would not be traumatic for the girl involved. A specific set of prescription medicine that would relax the muscles, mask most of the pain and also boost fertility levels of the young girls was made to be a requirement if any sex with a girl younger than 10 was to occur. Similarly, the consent of both parents was required to allow the event to take place, and while parents were discouraged from watching the event take place they were consoled by the knowledge that little pain would result from the event, and that a memory masking pill could be taken by the girl so that she would not be traumatized by it happening. Parents were encouraged to only allow their male friends to take part in the process, or someone that they could trust. Incest continued to be discouraged, as it became much more of a risk with men unwilling to let another man so close to their precious daughters.

The Taylor family, living in Auckland, New Zealand, had been caught up in the middle of the whole affair. James, 38, and his wife Megan, 34, had two daughters - Rosie aged 5 and Elizabeth who had just turned 3 in August 2020. Megan felt lucky she had been able to have Elizabeth in particular, as she had conceived not long before the virus began to take hold. She had been hit early by the effects of the virus, and had been unable to conceive the son they had both wanted so much.

James and Megan had always wanted a larger than normal family, perhaps with four or five children, and although they felt gutted that their dreams had been snatched away from them, and also concerned when Rosie got her period 6 months ago and even more so when little Elizabeth got hers before the age of 3 not long after, they knew many people in less fortunate circumstances than their own, and often felt grateful that at least they had managed to have two children. They were a fairly well-off family, with a wide circle of friends, living in one of the more up-market parts of the city. James had a good job as a professional consultant while Megan had done a few part time jobs here and there before getting pregnant, which she was now getting back into, with the hope of finding the right outlet for her creative talents.

Although James and his family had watched the news incredibly intently over the past few months while the Population Recovery Act was debated and finally passed, he didn't feel as strongly about the Act as many other people around him. While he understood that burdening such young girls with the enormous task of carrying all future babies was in some ways quite horrible, he realized that there seemed to be no alternatives. While James hadn't ever been particularly attracted to young girls, he had always had a thing for pregnant women. This was part of the reason he was so heart-broken along with the rest of the population when the virus' effects began to emerge, as he had hoped to get Megan pregnant again at least twice more.

However, these days he found himself noticing the emergence of young pregnant girls and being quite excited by it. At first it had seemed as though everyone was too scared of being labeled a child-molester to fully take advantage of the Population Recovery Act, and in the first few months it was labeled a failure as midwives found no recovery in the number of pregnancies. One of the first young children to get pregnant as a result of the Act, a cute little 6-year-old from Wanganui, got enormous press coverage of the early stages of her pregnancy, showing how she had been so well looked after and emphasizing the ability of her seemingly tiny body to deal with the pregnancy.

After the Wanganui girl it seemed as though the taboo had been broken, and doctors reported more and more people were coming to them to get the "pregnancy kit", as the collection of medicines designed to help the girl through the impregnation process was known. It was a couple of months after this, around Elizabeth's third birthday, when James really began to notice how common it was to see a pregnant 7 or 8-year-old around the place. At first a lot of the pregnancies had been hidden, seemingly out of shame as the person "had to do what they had to do" but now as television and other media tried to portray young pregnant girls as heroic and brave, the attitudes of many began to change towards them. Often they would get a smile on the street, and people were often falling over each other to help out a young pregnant girl in need.

The scheme was clearly starting to be quite successful, although there were many issues that had not yet been approached because it was believed to be too difficult. The effect that a child's pregnancy was having on their education was a hotly debated topic, with some schools being set up solely for pregnant pupils to help cater for their unique requirements. Moreover, there were obvious concerns about the physical damage done through the penetrative sex necessary for impregnation to such young girls. Although the "pregnancy kit" definitely made life easier, there remained great potential for physical and psychological damage to be done during this process, and an enormous amount of debate raged about how to ensure the process could occur in the best way possible for the young girls.

This became a particular concern for girls under 5, where initially there were almost no pregnancies because of the difficulties in getting the tiny girls pregnant in the first place, even though studies showed that they were the most fertile and most likely to have healthy babies. In a similar way that older parents are more likely to have babies with defects, studies of fetuses began to show - even before the first legal babies were born to girls of that age - that babies to girls aged 7 or 8 were far more likely to have babies with birth defects. Further studies argued that the best theoretical ages for conception were 3 or 4, although also admitted that achieving pregnancy at such young ages was extremely difficult and potentially traumatic.

Governments quickly began to realize these problems, and focused their attention in two areas - improving the physical likelihood of conception being possible at ages as young as 3 and also ensuring that the little girls, some of whom were barely learning to talk, would not be traumatized for life by the experience. Thought was also going into ensuring that it would be possible for families to have two or more children if they wanted, which once again placed extra pressure on making it possible for the particularly young girls to be able to conceive. Children's TV shows and toys began to adapt, to encourage the young girls to think of sex and pregnancy as a positive thing, something to look forward to and something they were in charge of, rather than feeling that they were being forced into it, or that the laws were just legalizing child-abuse.

Pregnant dolls began to emerge, while girls were encouraged to have baby-like dolls to get them excited about the prospects of making a baby of their very own. Furthermore, on the physical side of things, objects appearing to be some sort of highly modified sex toy began to appear, with the hope of helping to open up the girls' vagina so that their impregnation would not be nearly as painful. These toys would initially easily slip into the toddlers' tiny little slits, before inflating at an extremely slow rate so that the girl would hardly notice anything except a slightly pressure between their legs.

After a while they would move onto the next size, eventually up to the point where they could have penetrative sex without the damage that would have occurred earlier to them. Studies showed that using this method remarkable feats could be achieved, with some 2-year-olds apparently being able to take a fully grown man's cock all the way inside them without much pain at all. The toys were often extended to stretch open the cervix as well for younger girls, as that often proved to be a barrier to full penetration. Furthermore, by managing to ejaculate directly into the womb the chances of impregnation would increase dramatically.

Late in the year 5-year-old Rosie began to come home from school telling her parents about how a particular girl she knew at school had a baby in her tummy, and how everyone gave her lots of attention and was so kind towards this girl. Being so small in the first place, it was obvious that little 5-year-olds were pregnant from the second month of their pregnancies, as their little frames did very little to hide their expanding bellies.

Fully pregnant 7-year-olds often found it difficult to walk without aid, making the special schools for them particularly important. However, even at this stage much of the emphasis was shifting from encouraging pregnancy among the older 7 and 8-year-old girls to the much younger group between 3 and 5. New findings were showing that it was these younger girls who were much more likely to conceive, which was particularly important to the wider community as many still wanted to ensure that the impregnation process occurred as infrequently as possible, and much more likely to have healthy babies because their reproductive organs were of a similar age to a woman in their 20s prior to the effects of the virus.

James found himself morally torn soon after as Rosie began to complain that it wasn't fair many of the other girls she knew in her class at school had babies in their tummies, but that she didn't have on in hers. The subtle propaganda put out by governments and the booming industries creating child maternity wear and other new products, used to encourage children to want to become pregnant was definitely beginning to show results, with girls like Rosie and even little 3-year-old Elizabeth starting to show an interest in becoming like those bigger girls and having a baby in their tummy too.

While James was secretly turned on enormously by the idea of his little girls becoming pregnant, and also realized that they had only a few precious years while it would be possible for them to have children, he was also horrified by the idea of letting his precious two little girls have sex with a fully grown man. Parents were discouraged from watching the act, as the sheer sight of it in the past had caused many problems with parents trying to stop the impregnation process, but were comforted by the knowledge that if they had prepared their daughter correctly very little physical and mental negative effects should occur as result of their sexual encounter. James knew that he would eventually have to give in to both his little girls, but he knew he had to find someone who he could trust with such a task.

By the end of 2020 some of the first babies under the new regulations were starting to be born. Wild celebrations surrounded these events, with the little 6-year-old girl from Wanganui once again enjoying celebrity status as she gave birth to a healthy son. Yet the numbers weren't as high as hoped for, with very few pregnant girls under 5 being located, even though such a big effort had been made to ensure they would not be adversely affected by the impregnation process, and that they would be well looked after throughout their pregnancy. Specific systems set up to cater for these particularly young girls were hardly used at all, and questions began to be asked as to why pregnancies among this age group, the most important age group due to their high fertility, was not happening.

Conception rates among older girls, 7 and 8-year-olds, was remaining fairly constant, but had fallen to a point where even during the girl's week of ovulation there was less than a 20% chance they would become pregnant. Given that these girls remained the most likely to become pregnant because the impregnation process was felt to be most acceptable with the older age, people began to realize that the main reason behind low pregnancy levels among younger girls was that men were still too afraid to have sex with them, or too unwilling to let their young daughters be impregnated by another man. The stigma attached to adult-child sexual relations had been so strong only a year or so earlier that without a concerted effort it appeared to be the main factor holding back pregnancy levels. It appeared that men just couldn't bring themselves to penetrate such young girls, and were often subconsciously turned off by the girls being so small, largely because such feelings had been ingrained into them through previous child-sex stigmatization.

It was the clothing market that most quickly began to find a solution. If men were not finding these under 5 girls attractive enough to impregnate, then they would have to be made more sexy. A strong argument was made that if the girls were presented in a sexy enough way, dressed in ways that reminded men of their older partners or spouses, then they would be more likely to want to have sex with such young girls - some of whom were still toddlers really. Mini-skirts, tank tops, short dresses, and other sexy looking clothing, particularly aimed at girls under 5, began to appear in shops.

A whole clothing chain - Little Miss Flirty - popped up, becoming notorious for its particularly risqué clothing, and despite howls of protest from the socially conservative who claimed that the impregnation process as necessary should be made quite distinct from sexual attraction, became particularly popular as this new policy began to have an effect. T shirts for three-year-olds with slogans such as "come on... put a baby in this cute little belly" on them began to appear, and were quickly snapped up by parents realizing that their little girls would have to stand out in order for them to be impregnated by a perceived fairly limited number of men willing to do the task.

Even pull-up diapers began to appear with slogans on them such as "come on daddy... let him put a baby in here," as well as customized diapers for girls lucky enough to have become impregnated - with an extra stretchy waistband. Advertisements in newspapers appeared too, both from men willing to impregnate girls - often the most importance phrase in their ad was "no age limit" - and from young girls' parents looking for somebody willing to do the task. Daughter swapping groups began to appear, which were encouraged by the government as they were seen as a way of ensuring parents and their daughters would feel quite comfortable with the upcoming impregnation.

James, Megan and their two young girls discussed the options regarding what they were going to do. Megan actually seemed keener on ensuring the girls became pregnant sooner rather than later than James was - probably because she realized the pain of waiting too long and not being able to have a family as large as she had hoped for. Megan also realized that any of the girls' future children would effectively be brothers and sister for the girls and could achieve what Megan had initially hoped for.

Grandparents were universally granted legal parental status for all babies born to children under 10 (which meant all babies by this stage), so effectively Megan could have her family completed, though through a rather different way to that she had imagined. Eventually they decided upon going along to a daughter-swapping group as Megan accepted that James had something of a duty to help other young girls get pregnant, even if she felt slightly jealous about him having sex with them and actually being sexually turned on by it (which of course was necessary for ejaculation).

Through this method she could also ensure the man who did impregnate her two little girls would be someone who she could trust, and someone who she felt OK about doing the job. Secretly James was also quite excited at the prospect that he would be able to impregnate a young girl or two himself, as he had had this desire for quite some time now, especially after seeing an increasing number of young pregnant girls out in public.

After making their decision, their first step was to visit the doctor's to make sure everything was prepared. Both girls undertook a fertility test, just to double check whether they were indeed ready to be impregnated. The test confirmed that 5-year-old Rosie had average levels of fertility, but also that 3-year-old Elizabeth was identified as having outstanding levels of fertility, which the doctor explained was most definitely a good thing as she was likely to become pregnant without too many problems although the doctor also said that there was an increased risk of her having twins or even triplets.

This slightly worried her parents, Megan in particular who wondered how a girl with such a small body could carry one, let alone two or three, babies. The doctor consoled her, stating that remarkably young girls' bodies just seem to naturally adjust to their pregnant state, and he had heard of a girl who had delivered triplets before the age of four in the United States only a few weeks earlier with no problems at all.

Due to Elizabeth's high fertility levels he didn't include a fertility booster in her "pregnancy kit", rather just making sure that there were plenty of muscle relaxants and painkillers, as well as her vagina-opening device, which Elizabeth thought looked similar to a small carrot. Rosie seemed much more excited about the whole process than Elizabeth was - who seemed a bit young to understand it all. In contrast, Rosie was dancing around singing that she was going to have a baby.

The doctor had instructed the pregnancy kit, including the modified sex toys, to be used for two weeks prior to impregnation for girls over 5 years old, and three weeks for girls under 5 years old. James and Megan were also advised to show their girls a DVD, which explained why the impregnation process was necessary and also showed the girls what to expect. This educational DVD recommended sex positions that would be easiest for the young girls to achieve, while also ensuring the men were sexually stimulated enough to ejaculate. This type of video would have been banned only a few years before, but now it was heavily subsidized by the government to ensure that the psychological well-being of the young girls would be protected.

The DVD started with a young girl explaining why it was necessary for the whole process to happen - she said in her cute little voice "back a few years ago our mummies were able to have babies, but sadly a bad sickness stopped them from being able to do so. Now girls our age are the only ones who can make babies. The rest of this DVD will show you how this is possible, and what to expect throughout the next couple of weeks". After the girl had disappeared off-screen, a range of heavily pregnant young girls flashed across it - varying in ages from what seemed to be no more than 3 to eight-year-olds.

Each girl was happily rubbing her enormous belly, and beaming out a smile as a way to show young girls watching the DVD that they were immensely happy with themselves now they were pregnant. The DVD then moved into a new scene, where three excited and happy girls, not pregnant, came into view carried carefully by three different men. The men were of various size, just as the girls were, one aged 3, one 5 and one 7. The three girls all said "hi" to the camera, and happily explained that this was the day they had been waiting for a very long time, where they would finally become pregnant. The little girl yelled out "yay I'm gonna have a baby in my tummy!"

Watching the DVD, Elizabeth noted that the girl on the screen looked a lot like her, although possibly even younger, and definitely with a smaller body than her seemingly tiny frame. The girls reached down to between their legs and pulled out their special vagina-stretcher toys. By this stage their toys had grown to full-size, and both Rosie and Elizabeth were amazed how they could fit inside such tiny little girls, as they were all almost as wide as a cucumber, and over 8 inches long. The toy manufacturers wanted to make sure the girls would be able to cope with men of all sizes.

The men hurriedly undressed, trying to appear professional while obviously at the same time being excited about the prospect of having sex with such cute little girls. They had obviously been encouraged to think of the girls sexually, as they commented on how pretty they all were as well as running their hands all over each girl's body. Shortly afterwards each man began to lubricate their respective girl, both through the provided lubricant and also through their own saliva, which they massaged into the girls with their fingers and tongues.
