Kiera - Part 2

By Valleyal ( M/g, pedo, nosex )

Kiera was all blonde, flowing curls surrounding the tiniest body Denis had ever seen. She couldn't have been much more than thirty pounds and half of that seemed to be the bushy, blonde curls that flowed all the way down her back. She had the greenest eyes, but what was most startling was they had the look of sad eyes, not crying sad eyes, but rather sad eyes that looked as if they had never yet shed a tear.

Kiera seemed awfully shy as she hovered in the background behind her Mom as Denis moved in. The contrast between the two was very pronounced as Sherry was all flowing red hair, big boobs that may have been enhanced, way too much makeup for this early in the morning, as well as Sherry constantly talking and trying to carry on the conversation. Sherry was being too helpful, while her shy daughter seemed content to remain in the background.

On second inspection, it seemed to Denis that, while Kiera did have sad eyes and looked even younger than her supposed five years of age, in some ways she also had the look of someone much older, a kid that had been through too much at a young age, as well as someone who in too many ways had to look out for herself. It was like she was studying Denis and being very wary of him, just like she had to be when around most of her Mom's male friends.

Sherry had immediately learned that there was no Mrs. Smith and began her doomed attempts at some day filling that role. Denis was very polite, and could be charming when necessary. Upon complimenting her on having a pretty daughter, Denis had said that she and her husband must be quite proud, Sherry immediately countered that there was no husband. When Denis then said she and her ex must be proud then, Sherry came back that there was no ex either. Denis finally finished with then she and the girl's Daddy must be then. For the first time all day Sherry was silent, so Denis had to sort of assume that the Dad must not be around much, if at all.

While that was going on, Kiera had slid out of the background and had gone back into her own apartment. But she was never far away, as periodically Denis would catch glimpses of her studying him. It wasn't like she was spying him, but rather she was keeping an eye on him, still being wary.

Denis soon settled into a routine of his new life and new job. Each morning he would arrive home a little after eight, take a quick shower and a quick bite to eat and then be asleep on the couch usually before 9AM. Sometimes he would sleep until 5 or 6PM, although he frequently would wake up a little after 3:00, when the school bus pulled up.

Every so often, he would see Kiera peeking through the sliding glass door soon after she arrived home. Because Denis had grown accustomed to sleeping with the TV on to drown out background sounds. Kiera would be staring at the big screen TV, perhaps even more so than she would staring at the sleeping Denis.

After awakening, Denis would do 15 to 20 minutes or so of exercising at his workout bench. He had done much more of this while he was on the football team, and old habits die hard. Denis was certain that most, if not all of his former teammates would laugh at the puny weights he was bench-pressing. While the backs would do 300 or more, and the linemen 400-500 plus, Denis usually loaded up just 100 lbs, 50 on each end.

After the brief workout, Denis would shower and then begin supper. He might watch TV or movies to kill time before he had to at the mill at Midnight. Each evening between 5:00 and 6:00, he could hear very clearly through the thin walls as Sherry very loudly would prepare to leave for her job. On the Friday and Saturday evenings that Denis didn't have to go in and was by himself at home, he could hear very clearly as well the many different men that Sherry would bring home for the evening.

Many times in the evenings, just after Sherry had left for work and Denis knew that Kiera was all alone, he could hear her making the sounds in the kitchen as she would be fixing something to eat. He would frequently catch her peeking through the sliding glass door as she would be also trying to watch what was on his big screen. Denis would invite her in, but she would scoot away as soon as she realized he had noticed her presence.

One sound that Denis grew accustomed to on his usual two days off was the sound of cartoons beginning at 6:00AM every morning. Denis was very much a night owl and not the early morning bird that catches the worm on his days off. Then, compared to Sherry, he was a pussycat. Kiera wouldn't dare wake her Momma up at that early an hour, much less come into an awkward situation of finding her Momma not being alone in bed. Such were the sounds that Denis grew to know.

Four months after moving in and just four weeks prior to Christmas, Denis arrived home just after 8:00AM to hear fussing in the other apartment. This was unusual, as only just a few times had he even heard Kiera's voice. But Kiera was fussing at her Momma that the TV wasn't working and her Momma was fussing back even more loudly that she didn't appreciate being awakened, and fussing just as much that she didn't have enough money to get the TV fixed. It was all going in circles as Denis arrived home. He couldn't help but hear. When he next heard some of the neighbors joining in to complain about the noise, Denis then went out his front door into the breezeway, down the stairs then up the stairs and into the adjacent breezeway to Sherry and Kiera's front door, where two other neighbors were threatening to call the police if the noise didn't die down.

Denis offered that Kiera could watch her cartoons that morning on his TV. Sherry was then caught speechless again and all Kiera could do was stare. Sherry started to half-heartedly protest that Kiera could be a big bother, but Denis insisted. He wouldn't be going to sleep until at least noon, and Kiera could watch all the cartoons she wanted to until then.

Kiera didn't say a word and as Denis reached out a hand to take her she shied away even further into the background. He finished with a comment for her to just come over when she was ready.

Ten minutes later, Denis noticed Kiera peeking through the sliding glass door. He invited her in, but she remained still behind the door. Flipping through the channels, he kept clicking until she nodded her head when the Pink Panther cartoon program came on.

Kiera almost freaked and jumped over the wooden gate as Denis opened the sliding glass door, bringing her a glass of chocolate milk. Watching her scoot away, he just left the milk for her on the deck and beckoned her to come back. Kiera remained motionless, not backing away further, but also not coming closer. She just stared at him. Telling her he hoped she liked chocolate milk he went back into his own apartment but this time leaving the door wide open.

A few minutes later, he noticed her peeking inside to watch more of the Pink Panther. As Denis remained in the kitchen fixing up his next cup of coffee he saw that Kiera had slipped inside and was sitting on the edge of the couch just at the entrance of where the sliding glass door closed.

When Denis offered to fix her something for breakfast if she wanted, Kiera nodded a too quick 'no', but he also soon noticed that she had brought in the glass of chocolate milk and already it was 2/3 empty. A few minutes later while cooking bacon, Denis noticed that the Pink Panther had gone off and that Kiera had the clicker and had changed the channel to where a Bugs Bunny cartoon was now coming on. When Denis walked into the den to refill her glass of chocolate milk, Kiera again quickly scooted out the door. She soon peeked in again and noticed that her glass was again full and Denis had returned to the kitchen watching her. She again creeped back onto the edge of the couch and was soon laughing at the antics of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

Finishing cooking the bacon as well as a couple of pieces of toast and a new refill on his coffee, Denis again left the kitchen and went towards the den. Kiera looked like she was again about to scoot, but Denis perceived this and went towards the La-Z-Boy instead of his usual place at the other end of the couch. There they both sat watching the cartoons as well staring intently at each other. Every so often, Denis would catch Kiera giggling at what was happening in the cartoon.

He had not noticed before but now did as to what Kiera was wearing. She was in a pretty honey-colored sleep shirt that was very long on her, where she would almost be standing on it if she stood up. The sleep shirt was almost an exact match of her hair color. She was barefoot as Denis could see cute pink toes barely peeking out. The way the sunlight was behind her he could also determine that she had on matching honey-colored bikini panties. Her hair was unbrushed, and as bushy as ever. It did fall all the way down her back and she had had to pull it back some to keep from sitting on it.

As Bugs Bunny ended Denis got up again to go refill his coffee cup and to also refill her glass of chocolate milk. Keira was about to scoot away again so Denis went into the kitchen calling out that she could get more milk out of the refrigerator whenever she wanted to. He then said he would be in the bedroom for a bit exercising and then taking a shower, and that he knew he must be very smelly, just getting in from working at the mill. Kiera was to make herself at home.

While in his room doing curls, he spied her in the kitchen checking out his things on the counter and opening cabinets before she poured the last of the chocolate milk. Denis vowed that from now on he would keep a ready supply of chocolate milk.

Kiera changed channels when Bug Bunny went off. This one wasn't a cartoon exactly, but the Disney Channel program with Hillary Duff in it. Denis wasn't exactly sure what the program was called. After his exercise workout, he looked around the corner to tell Kiera that he was next going to the shower. She seemed spooked again, but he reassured her that he was only mentioning this to her so that maybe if she had to go to the bathroom soon perhaps she should go before him. She nodded her head a big no.

Denis had a clear vinyl shower curtain, and he usually didn't close the bathroom door so the bathroom wouldn't get all steamed up. Just as he was about to reach for the shampoo he noticed Kiera at the bedroom door peeking inside. She seemed more to be studying what was in the bedroom than looking towards to bathroom. Mostly she seemed more curious as to what wasn't in the bedroom. The room was mostly filled up with the workout bench and scattered bar bells and dumb bells and in the corners were all of his dirty clothes. There were some clean ones hanging in the closet as well as clean socks and underwear in a laundry basket. What was missing was there was no bed in the room.

As he rinsed the shampoo out, Kiera scooted back into the den to watch more of Hillary Duff. Denis had quietly noticed all of this.

Normally after his morning shower, Denis would usually just slip on a clean pair of underwear and then climb under his one quilt that he had on the back of the couch and go to sleep. With a young impressionable girl in his home, he realized that wearing just underwear would not be a good idea. He then put on a pair of clean sweat pants.

Hilary Duff was going off and coming on next was Kim Possible. Denis smiled again as he came out of the bedroom and, after refilling his coffee cup yet again, settled down in the La-Z-Boy. Denis may have yawned once or twice as he sat down. He didn't notice, but Kiera did. They both watched Kim Possible laughing and giggling at the funny parts. Kiera seemed to be sitting deeper on the couch and not just on the edge. She had gathered up his pillow which was on the other end and she was now sitting with her feet tucked under her.

Denis continued watching the TV with silent Kiera. He had noticed that all morning, ever since he had first went to their front door, Kiera had not said a word and the only sounds she made were when she giggled at something funny on the TV.

Pretty soon, Denis nodded off to sleep, as girly kiddie shows like Hilary Duff and Kim Possible were not his usual viewing pattern. A bit later, Denis woke up. He was still in the La-Z-Boy but this time he was covered in the quilt. He knew he didn't fall asleep that way. It felt almost like a dream but he last remembered Kiera coming to the side of the chair kissing him on the cheek and saying "thank you" and then just as quickly scooting out the sliding glass door.

He woke up fully as the sight of her leaving. The clock now showed 12:00 Noon and he now noticed the TV was set to ESPN and not cartoons.

But what he most remembered was that tender kiss on his cheek and her saying "thank you."
