Perverts 'R' Us
Head Nurse Renfro and Niko
By Grade School Nurse ( F/b, ws )
Dear Eugenia,
Dr. Jafri urged me to reiterate my invitation to you to pay us another visit to Cleveland to impart your priceless knowledge as a kind of refresher for a retired nurse with the specialty we have in common. Mrs. Irene Papadakis is overjoyed to have her sons and grandson move back to Shaker Heights to be near Niko's grandparents and not only because of the main reason which you have I am sure already guessed: so that young Niko can profit from the matronly aqueous attentions she has so devotedly shown to Nick and Peter over the years. Needless to say we will gladly undertake the total expense of travel and lodging and realizing your total immersion in the subject at hand we sincerely hope that in spite of your minor physical complaints you will accept our offer.
Dr. Jafri has had lengthy telephone conversations with her on this subject and was so impressed with her obvious near addictive fascination with it that he has more than hinted that he would love to have her take on the duties of his permanent nurse. He has only seen one photograph of Niko taken in Atlanta and it is the one enclosed and is delighted that it was so well timed: at the very moment that the boy's grandfather called him in from the back yard with the words, "Come on now, Niko, grandma is getting your enema ready."
Needless to say, you never heard (or probably you did) such shrieks of rage and hoarse bawling or saw such floods of salt tears and it was a truly blissful experience watching from the boy's dormer bedroom at the back of the house as Niko charged his grandfather and assailed him with flailing arms and hard punches and kicks. All of which just served to bring Aristides and his sons to the summit of delight cowering with mock fear interspersed with shrill laughter and applause.
Dr. Jafri has spent countless hours designing the whole introductory scenario and I am quoting him on his ideas about this traumatic meeting: "I will be here with Dr. Park. Let him come on Monday at 2:00 and let the sons arrive later, say about 2:45. That way he will not be able to suppress his rage at the surprise when he sees his father and uncle breathless with anticipation to witness his, er, his exposition. Dr. Renfro will have arrived earlier and when you and your husband and grandson are asked in and he sets his eyes on her I can assure you they are going to open wide with shock and terror not to say embarrassment and rage. I say this even though Dr. Renfro will not even have touched the instruments and emollients that he sees with alarm are so prominently in evidence in the glass paneled cabinet."
"Let Mr. Papadakis introduce him to Dr. Park and myself and let us both bow solemnly toward Dr. Renfro while Dr. Park will introduce her to the boy in words like: 'Hello, Niko. And just how are you today? ... This is Head Nurse Renfro. She knows a lot about boys and she likes them a lot. [a broad grin followed by a nervous titter] Nurse Renfro has been, uhm, she's been a-attending to boys for many years. [a barely suppressed giggle and a wink to Mr. Papadakis] Uhm, Niko, she , uhm, maybe you don't know what I mean, but ... uhm, I think you do ... she has a whole lot of experience in ... uhm, getting to the [eyes widen, grinning from ear to ear] b-b-bottom of a b-boy's p-p-problems ...'"
Dr. Jafri's scenario is considerably more elabore, as you can imagine, Eugenia, and I do not have the heart to spoil it for you. That's why you have got to come. I've just told you enough to whet your appetite, if you are not already packing your suitcase. As we all very much hope you do.
Love, Heddy
P.S.: Some days later, Maynard Jafri will be brought in by his grandfather Syed, father Rakeesh, Uncle Ranjit.
