Perverts 'R' Us

Choices and Changes

By Danyealle (M/F, FanFiction, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kagome)

A clap of thunder broke the silence, making her jump a bit, then the rain that had been slacking off began to once more pour down, drenching her yet again. Her rain coat helped to keep her upper-half dry but her jeans and feet were soaked and she was beginning to shiver as the cold behind picked up, cutting through the wet fabric like an icy knife. Tugging her hat down further over her eyes, she then hugged herself, trying to stop the shivers. “I hate rainy season!” she muttered darkly to herself.

For probably the 100th time in the last ten minutes, she looked around, and then sighed deeply when she saw no traces of anyone. ‘Did you really expect him to come?’ she mentally chided herself. ‘He had no intention of showing up, you baka!’ that cruel inner voice said snidely.

Shaking her head, she attempted to rid herself of doubt and eliminate that voice. That part of her that brought her out to this clearing in the middle of the pouring rain this late at night reminded her that he does indeed have some bad qualities but being a liar wasn’t one of them. In fact he was always bluntly truthful, no matter how much that truth may hurt.

When the alarm on her watch beeped, she pulled up her sleeve and looked at the time even though she knew it was now 11:00 PM right on the nose. Shuddering violently, not all from the cold wind and rain either, she shut her eyes and hoped like hell this wasn’t some kind of mean trick or a way to torment her.

As the last of the beeping from the alarm faded out she felt something stir behind her and felt a familiar powerful aura wash over her, like something warm and soothing enveloping her. Spinning around, almost losing her footing in the slick mud, she saw him standing there looking like some kind of glowing apparition in white, contrasting with the dark, rainy gloom. Though the sharp wind was blowing his silvery, moonlight colored hair, and making his clothes ruffle and billow out slightly, he looked just as neat and well groomed as he always did, like he was freshly dressed for the day and not standing in the middle of a torrential downpour.

Though his face was the passive, emotionless mask it always was there appeared to be a glint in his golden, honey-colored eyes that seemed to show he was happy. “Kagome…” he said softly, making her shiver at the way her name sounded coming from his deep, sensual voice like it always did. “You came.”

She smiled a bit, “Yes, I don’t think I could have stopped myself from coming.” she said softly.

Stepping closer, he held out his hand to her, “Come, Kagome.”

He was only a couple steps away from her but in her mind it was like a chasm the size of the Grand Canyon. Though she desperately wanted to, she knew the couple steps she would take to put her hand in his would change her life forever.

Looking at his hand she then glanced back in the direction of the campsite her friends were at, asleep and oblivious to her turmoil. Then she looked up into his eyes again, swallowing thickly. Like what had happened every time she gazed into his eyes for the last six months, any doubts or concerns about him and what she was doing were pushed aside or buried and she succumbed to what she wanted and felt for the deadly taiyoukai.

Bending down, she grabbed her pack then stepped closer, taking his hand then gazed up into his eyes, a soft smile appearing.
