island.  Roger joined them after work and they all sat on the
terrace overlooking the harbour.  Dave remembered taking Anne on
a boat for her birthday the previous summer - they had launched
the boat from the yacht club directly below.  Dave quickly found
the boat they had gone out on but there was no sign of his
friends who owned the boat.  The meal was very good and the
restaurant got very busy as customers seemed to flock there for
after-work drinks and food.

Roger drove Sam and Carol to North Beach while Jennifer and Dave
remained in town.  They went out with John and Christa for the
evening.  After returning home, Dave and Jennifer went to bed and
again it was very casual as both came out of the bathroom
together and got in bed naked.  Once in bed both still seemed to
be excited from the previous night and they made love until early
in the morning.  Dave kept seeing images of Jennifer licking his
mom and that brought him to two exciting orgasms.  Dave thought
he heard Jennifer say Sam's name once but he wasn't positive; it
could have been simply a moan.

On Saturday Roger, Carol, Sam, Dave, and Jennifer loaded into the
family van and went on a tour of the western end of the island. 
They saw several historic sights and museums.  They spent several
hours at a water park and Dave was pleased to see both his
parents join them on the water slides.  As Jennifer and Dave were
floating around in one of the pools, Dave hugged her and slid his
hand between her legs.  He was about to slip his hand inside her
suit when she whispered, "You better not do that.  I started my
period today and that parking space is occupied."  He immediately
pulled his hand back as if he had been scalded.

Jennifer snickered, "It's not that bad.  I'm not going to die or
anything but we won't be able to make love for a few days."

Dave realized he was over-reacting by pulling away so fast. 
Growing up with two sisters had educated him on a woman's cycle
and he knew a little bit about it.  He was curious as to whether
Jennifer would get moody.  He had heard the reference to a woman
being in a bad mood as "It's that time of the month."

Jennifer seemed to notice his deep thought and she explained,
"You don't have to worry about me getting angry with you.  I'm
lucky; my periods aren't overly heavy and I don't normally get
cramps or anything.  Normally, I only use pads and not even the
thick kind.  I only use tampons when I'm swimming, like today." 
She kissed him softly.  "I'll be very ready for you by midweek."

He listened to her then replied, "That's good, but I will be in
Quebec by midweek and then I'm gone to Hartford the next week."

Jennifer nodded, "I know - all to well."

They re-joined the adults sitting by the pool.  Roger suggested
they all go on the water slides a few more times before they left
for North Beach.

The drive back to North Beach was filled with discussion and
planning for the coming week.  Sam was leaving on Tuesday and
Carol and Jennifer made plans for Monday.  Then Carol and Roger
made plans for the trip to Quebec.

Once they arrived in North Beach they arranged a bonfire.  Dave
spent the night by the fire with his family and friends.  He and
Jennifer left for town just before midnight and both went right
to bed and fell asleep immediately, tired from the long day.

They got up late on Sunday and drove to North Beach.  Dave
practiced for three hours before he joined everybody who were
already at the beach.  It was a very hot day and the beach was
packed.  The afternoon passed quickly.

Roger and Ron prepared a large barbeque meal when they returned
to the trailer.  After eating, Dave, Sam and Jennifer went for a
walk.  Dave thanked Sam for visiting and wished her a safe trip
home.  Sam thanked Dave for the wonderful time they spent
together and she wished him good luck in the national
championships.  She kissed him lovingly before they all returned
to the trailer.

He and Jennifer loaded the car with his clubs and his clothes and
left for town.  They spent a quiet evening talking and cuddling
in front of the television.  Eventually they went to bed and, as
Dave lay awake thinking about his two impending trips, he thought
not only how much he had enjoyed his parent-approved private time
with Jennifer but also how sleeping with her in his arms every
night had become commonplace and the thrill of the first night
seem to dwindle in just over a week.  He stared lat her sleeping
face and he imagined what it would be like to spend the rest of
his life with her and only her.  She had been his best friend and
they were very, very close but, deep in his heart, he knew he had
a lot more living to do before he was ready to think about
spending the rest of his life with just one person.

He then thought about Katherine and a shiver went up his spine as
he thought about Charlie Feehan and what dirty deeds he might be
doing to her.  Then he thought about the fading images of Sarah
and Ann.  They had both meant a lot to him but he truly believed
they were for the most part out of his life now.  He thought
about Sam briefly but he knew that was just a fun little affair.
An image of Lynn, his sweet west-coast oriental girl, flashed
across his mind and he remembered the wonderful times in Calgary.
 She was truly special.

Suddenly he heard that voice that seem to make him jump, followed
by a picture of a pair of breasts with crossed golf straps -
Sheri's image seemed to be taking over his psyche more and more;
he wondered what it meant.  He remembered how beautiful she was
but he also remembered how fierce a competitor she was.  Was he
really thinking about her sexually?  He wasn't sure, but her soft
curves were what filled his mind as he dozed off to sleep.
