I envied the wind, that reaches to touch you wherever you are.  It wisps back
your hair, whispers in your ear.  It closes your eyes, tickles your lashes, and
coaxes a grin.  I envied the wind.

I envied the rain, that falls from the heavens and rolls down your chin.  It
caresses your breasts and over your hips.  It seeps through your lips and mixes
with honey where your two legs strain.  I envied the rain.

I envied the sun, that holds you in its arms.  It stretches you on the grass,
warms your belly and skin.  It fixes its gaze, it watches over you, and stays
by your side all the day long.  I envied the sun.

I envied the wind.  I envied the rain.  I envied the sun.  Today I am your
husband; now they envy me.
