Hammon Wry's Words of the Day for Wednesday January 29, 2003

Note: Due to copyright laws, I am hesitant to include the definitions
and pronunciations of the words of the day.  I have provided the
websites for each so that you can look up the words for yourself.  

Dictionary.com provides a free utility call "Clever Keys" that allows

This is an excersize in writing discipline.  I am trying to get into
the habit of writing something every day.  I figure if I use the words
of the day from two sources in a sexual context, I will have
inspiration and motivation.

"...'Lady Miriam is gone and *I* hold the estate now, sirrah.  You
will follow my commands, or be left on the streets in little more than
your stocking-feet and their suspenders.'  Master Edwin glared at the
butler with a sullen and jaundiced eye.  The butler, a kind man and
proud of his 37 years of servitude to this family blanched at the
thought.  He turned to do his new master's bidding with a reluctance
obvious in his ram-rod straight back. 

As Rogers the butler entered the kitchen, he made sure that Master
Edwin was out of earshot before he drew the cook into the pantry.
"That bastard knows that I wear sock-suspenders!  Do you think he's
been spying on me while I dress?"  The cook chuckled.  "It would not
surprise me in the least, luv.  I've told you I thought I heard
someone moving about in the hallway by my door at night.  And I've
heard stories about his tastes in town.  Two nights ago, he bit young
Elisabeth the serving wench so fiercely on the pudendum, he drew
blood.  The landlord had to call the midwife to stop the bleeding.  He
ruined her for any pleasure at all, is the word."  

Rogers was not the sort to criticize his employers.  It took a great
deal for him to dispense animadversion on their behavior or requests.
He did so now: "That right-whirling, sadistic bastard!"

The cook looked at him in utter shock.  She had never heard him use
such language in all her sublunary days.  Heaven and earth would
surely never be the same.  "Well, what can we do about it?"

Rogers thought a moment.  "Can you talk to the rest of the staff?  I'd
like to know if they would be interested in an insurrection..."
