The following is a piece of poetry. (I think I can actually hear some of you
groaning!) But I'm proud to say this poem was selected for publication and
earned an editor's choice award in the process. Yes, I preened just a tad
when I got the news. But not to worry, life has a way of ruffling the
feathers. I've received the book of poetry it became a part of, and realize
it was more than likely a scam. But for one brief, shining moment I could
say, I'd been published.
Existence
By Desdmona
Skin chilled by cooling rain
Body loosened by languored kisses
Flesh exposed by eager fingers
Breath expelled by erratic measures
Heartbeat intensified by inhibitions released
Mind dazed by deliberate intentions
Hands fevered by fire from without
Marrow scorched by sparks from within
Spirit obsessed by orgasmic connection
Life renewed by rampant emotion
Soul captivated by cathartic expression
Existence empowered by erotic conclusion
