"Swell," Sabrina muttered. She rolled out of bed and slipped into a
robe, patting Roxie affectionately on the head before she opened
the door just a crack. Morgan was standing outside. Damn! Their
fellow housemate and resident advisor had on a cammie top and
short leather skirt, both of which were out of place. Her otherwise
beautiful face was crinkled in a deep frown.

"Hey Morgan," Sabrina said cheerfully. "Didn't you have a date
tonight?"

"I'm still on it," Morgan said, looking passed her to the bed. "We
came back here to, uh, talk."

Sabrina smiled. "Right. Talk. So what's the problem?"

Morgan said, "Well, we just starting, er, talking, when I heard a
dog barking in here."

Oh," Sabrina said. She looked to the bed then back at Morgan.
"Sorry about that."

Morgan made a face. "You know, if you were going to get a dog
you really should have discussed it with us first."

"Oh, no," Sabrina said quickly, "it's not my dog. I'm just . . .uh . . .
dog sitting. Yeah. For a friend."

"Uh huh."

"Really," Sabrina said. As she talked to Morgan, Roxie jumped of
the bed, trotted over, and forced the door open. Then she stuck her
nose under Morgan's skirt and sniffed her crotch. Sabrina fought
back a giggle.

"Hey!" Morgan cried.

Sabrina swatted Roxie on the butt. "Stop that!"

The sleek Doberman barked in answer then ran out the door.

"Wait!" Sabrina called. "Come back here!"

Sabrina chased after Roxie, following her into the living room
where Miles was just coming through the front door with his date.
For crying out loud! Couldn't she share a house with people who
stayed out all night? What happened to making out in the backseats
of cars?

Roxie bolted out the door before Sabrina could stop her. She stood
there for a moment, stunned, not sure what to do next, then noticed
that Miles was looking at her. Sabrina realized why when she felt a
sudden breeze on her belly. Her robe had fallen open, giving Miles
and his new girlfriend a good look at her naked body. So much for
first impressions! She covered herself again, tightening the sash
around her waist.

"Uh, is everything okay, Sabrina?" Miles asked.

"Oh sure," Sabrina said. "Everything is just fine. I think I'm gonna
turn in. Good night everybody."

Sabrina went back to her room and locked the door. Well this was
turning into one hell of an evening! Sure, she'd just had really great
sex with someone she cared a lot about, someone she could even
have a serious relationship with. On the other hand, she'd turned her
new lover into a dog and let her run away! That was not good. And
hardly an auspicious beginning to her new relationship with Roxie.
She couldn't date a dog! Restaurants and movie theaters wouldn't
let them in!

This was more than she could handle on her own. Sabrina whipped
her finger in the air, replacing her robe with a sweatshirt and jeans.
Then she twirled her finger again and zapped herself into her aunt's
kitchen.

Salem was sitting on the counter trying desperately to open a can of
tuna. That was no easy task for a warlock imprisoned in the body of
a cat. He began to sob.

"Oh-oh-oh," Salem wailed. "Sabri-i-i-i-na! Thank goodness you're
here!"

"Need a little help with your midnight snack?" Sabrina asked. She
wagged her finger and the can of tuna became a crystal serving dish
with a heap of tuna in it.

"Tha-ank you," Salem said. He started to eat.

"You're welcome," Sabrina said. Now that she was done being a
human can opener she could get down to business. "Aunt Hilda!
Aunt Zelda! Are you home? I need to talk to you!"

It was only a few seconds later that Hilda and Zelda zapped into the
kitchen in their pajamas.

"Sabrina, honey, what's wrong?" Zelda asked.

"I'm in trouble," Sabrina said. "Big trouble. And I need help."

Hilda gave her a hug. "What's the problem?"

"Well," Sabrina said, "I sorta turned Roxie into a dog."

Zelda and Hilda looked at each other then Zelda said, "How did
that happen?"

Sabrina thought about it. She might as well tell them the truth.
"Well, uh, Roxie and I were kinda . . . naked at the time."

Hilda raised her eyebrows. "Naked? As in trying on each other's
clothes naked?"

"Uh, no," Sabrina said, "more like wild night of ecstasy naked."

Zelda gasped. "Oh dear."

"Mmmhmm," Sabrina said, nodding. "See, Roxie was . . . um . . .
and then I . . . well, then she . . . and I sort of lost it . . . and then
she was a dog!"

"I think we get the picture," Hilda said.

Salem smacked his lips. "Ah, welcome to my world, Sabrina. I
spend all day licking pussy then go to bed with tuna breath."

"Shut up, Salem," Sabrina snapped.

"Did you cough up a furball when you were done?"

Sabrina pointed her finger at Salem and the dish of tuna flipped
onto his head. Feeling better, she looked at her aunts. "I haven't
told you the bad part."

"Maybe we should sit down," Zelda said.

"Roxie got out of the house," Sabrina said, exasperated. "She ran
away! You've got to help me find her! She could end up at the dog
pound or get hit by a car and by the way I think I could be falling
for her so we have to do something now!"

Hilda took a deep breath for all of them. "Let's just settle down, all
right? We'll find her."

"First we have to change," Zelda said. She swirled her finger in the
air and in a sparkle of magic all of them -Salem, included- were
dressed in camouflage army fatigues, their faces blackened with
shoe polish. Except for Salem, of course. He didn't need it given his
already black furry face.

"All right people, listen up," Salem announced, sounding like a drill
sergeant. "The target is at large and could be armed with fleas.
Please take the necessary precautions. Let's move out!"

Sabrina scowled at him but said nothing, waving her finger and
zapping all four of them to a secluded spot on campus behind a pair
of large bushes. Even though it was late she didn't want to take a
chance that someone might spot them appearing out of thin air. She
looked around her to make sure the coast was clear. It apppeared
to be safe.

"This will go faster if we split up," Zelda said.

Sabrina nodded and headed toward the north end of campus. She
couldn't believe this was happening. It was like her worst
nightmare! What was she going to tell Roxie? Assuming one of
them found her, of course. Sabrina quickly pushed the thought
aside. That kind of attitude wouldn't help. She thought about Roxie
and what the two of them shared that night. It warmed her all over
thinking about Roxie's naked body next to hers, pressed against her,
their lips fused together in a long, sweet kiss. Sabrina sighed. She
had to find her!

"Here Roxie," Sabrina called. "Here Roxie Roxie Roxie!"

Sabrina spent the next hour wandering back and forth across the
northern end of the campus without luck. She would never forgive
herself if something happened to Roxie. She . . . she loved her.
Sabrina was sure of that. Even before the two of them had fallen
into bed she had feelings for Roxie, feelings of affection and
friendship that ran deep. She wanted the chance to tell her that, to
let Roxie know how much she meant to her.

Something stirred in the bushes up ahead.

Sabrina stopped in her tracks, feeling a glimmer of hope. But it
turned out to be Zelda. She slumped her shoulders in defeat. "Hi
Aunt Zelda."

"No luck?" Zelda asked.

"Nope," Sabrina said, shaking her head.

"We'll find her," Zelda said.

Sabrina sighed. "I sure hope so."

The two of the walked for a while in silence.

"So," Zelda began, "you and Roxie . . .?"

"Yeah," Sabrina said.

"I see," Zelda said. "Do you see this relationship going anywhere?"

"I sure hope so," Sabrina said. She looked at her aunt. "I mean, I
would like it to. But it's not off to a very good start, is it? Our first
night together and I turn her into a dog!"

Zelda smiled. "These things happen. But Sabrina, from now on
you've got to practice safe-sex. You must use protection!"

"Like a condom?"

"Like a protection spell," Zelda said. "We can't have you turning
Roxie into a house pet every time you have an orgasm."

Sabrina giggled. "No, I guess that would be bad."

"Yes, it would," Zelda said.

Sabrina stopped to give her aunt a hug. "Thanks, Aunt Zelda."

The two of them were still hugging each other when Salem came
running out of the bushes, a Doberman pinscher chasing after him.
It was Roxie! Sabrina was sure of it!

"Help! Help!" Salem cried. "I'm under attack!"

Roxie chased Salem up a tree and barked at him, clawing at the
trunk of the tree, trying to get at him.

"Are you all right, Salem?" Zelda called.

"No," Salem moaned. "I'm afraid of heights!"

Sabrina rushed over to Roxie and crouched down, cupping the
dog's face in her hands. "Roxie? Is that really you?"

The Doberman barked.

"Thank goodness," Sabrina sighed. She pointed at Roxie and a
collar appeared around her neck. Then she zapped a leash into her
hand, hooked it onto Roxie's collar, and stood up.

Zelda asked, "Can you take it from here?"

"Yeah," Sabrina said. She jerked her head in the direction of Salem.
"What about him?"

"I'll take care of that," Zelda said, and with a flip of her finger she
and Salem both disappeared.

"Thanks for the help!" Sabrina ca;;ed after them. She breathed a
tired sigh and tugged on Roxie's leash. "Let's go."

Sabrina zapped them back to their bedroom, glad to be home again.
Thank goodness that ordeal was over with! She unhooked the leash
from Roxie's collar and made it disappear before using her magic to
change into her pajamas.

Sliding under the covers, Sabrina patted the spot next to her on the
bed. "Up, Roxie!" The dog jumped up on the bed and snuggled up
alongside her, head resting on her chest.

"All right," Sabrina said, her finger poised for action, "here goes
nothing. This magic spell may not be formal, but please turn Roxie
back to normal!"

In a sparkle of magic the Doberman next to her transformed into a
naked Roxie. She sat up with a gasp, looking around the room,
dazed and disoriented. "Wh-what happened?"

"You fell asleep on me," Sabrina said.

"Oh," Roxie said, looking puzzled. "I . . . I had the strangest dream.
I was a dog! And I was running all over campus. Then I was
chasing this talking cat in army fatigues!"

"That is weird," Sabrina admitted, pulling Roxie to her, "but you're
here with me now, safe and sound."

Roxie stared at her for a long moment and then a smile spread over
her face. "Ah. So that part wasn't a dream."

"Which part?" Sabrina asked.

"The one where we did this," Roxie said, bending down to kiss her.

Sabrina slid her hand over Roxie's hips as their mouths crashed
together in a searing, passionate kiss that left them both breathing
hard when it at last fade. "No . . . that part wasn't a dream. At least
I hope not."

"Really?"

"Uh huh," Sabrina said. She thought long and hard about what to
say next, unsure about taking that step, but the words poured out of
her before she realized it. "I . . . I love you, Roxie."

"I love you, too," Roxie whispered.

Sabrina kissed Roxie again. "Let's get some sleep, okay?"

"Mmmhmm," Roxie murmured, snuggling into her embrace. But
something obviously bothered her about the so-called dream. She
reached up and touched the dog collar still around her neck, a look
of shock spreading over her face. "What the hell is this? Is this
some kind of kink you're into, Spellman?"

Sabrina blanched. She forgot about the collar! "Uh, no! Of course
not! I can explain that!"

But Roxie just smiled and nuzzled her. "It's okay. I don't mind
being your bitch."

"We'll discuss it in the morning," Sabrina said, drifting off to sleep
with the most wicked thoughts running through her mind.
