Hi everyone, this is an Akiko Shoo story that takes place between chapters 9
and 10, it focuses in Anya more than Akiko, though she is defenently in this
story as a major character. The story will give a little more insight into
Anya and Akiko and explain more of what Akiko is. Originally this was meant
to be a regular chapter and would have been posted as quickly as some of the
others, but my muse hit me over the head and made me go through and edit it.
When I did that I started to add to the story as I went along, adding in
large chunks of story that weren't in the orginal, because of that I have
decided to post this as a special chapter and break it into 2 parts since at
the half way point my computer was telling me that I had 120+kb of material.
The second part should be out in a couple of weeks, a little longer that I
would like, but I am working on three stories at once.

Now, I hope that I have caught most of the mistakes, I ran a spell checker
through it and found most of them. On the other hand, I have to do my own
editing and evrerything else so I might have missed something. I will edit

the sample while within the dish, Anya watched it all with a detached
excitement. The small dish was a blood sample from a monkey that the school
lab kept for just such a purpose, though it wasn't human blood, Anya could
tell that it didn't matter. The blood cells, of Akiko's blood, surrounded
and consumed the primate blood sample. When they moved apart a brand-new
cell remained, very different from the original, and unrecognizable as
primate blood any more. It was quickly duplicating itself, at the same time
the duplicates were swarming the white blood cells and altering them as they
went. The process continued until the whole sample had been consumed, maybe
5 minutes. Anya took her glasses off and rubbed her eyes in wonderment,
stood up, and stretched backwards. She had been hunched over the special
microscope for close to three straight hours, the process moved at an
accelerated rate, much faster than anything she had ever seen before. What
should have taken days or weeks to accomplish seemed to take place in just
hours. She knew of no other drug or serum that could alter DNA in less than
a minute, it usually took very specialized doctors and scientists weeks to
alter even the most simple DNA codes and those were usually unreliable after
a couple of hours.

She had watched this experiment over her 20 times now, no matter what kind
of blood sample she used, a few drops of Akiko's blood always absorbed and
altered the blood sample into an exact copy of itself. From the look of it,

"I'm actually not sure I can help you want this one Anya, you have any
physical requirements?"

"What makes you say that?"

"Drat! Anya, my supervisor it here, I'll call you back in a few days and let

mastered in Medical Science. Anya looked at her pad again and looked at what
she had circled, Cancer, Jessica and her had studied the subject while in
collage. Most of the patients that they had talked to had been dejected and
tired. They had sounded just Jessica had sounded, it was as sound that one
didn't forget, the sound of a life that knew it was dieing and could do
anything about it.

For the next several days Anya kept busy by running more experiments and
testing different combinations of blood and chemicals. She found that by
placing a little of the host animals DNA into one of Akiko's blood cells,
the new DNA would be remake and take over the cell. From there it ambushed
and started to process with a new cell, duplicating itself and the others
exponentially. Anya, in her zeal to figure this out, didn't notice that the
new cells didn't seem to ever reject the new DNA that they were being given.

While at school she was spending her mornings treating scrapes and bruises,

every now and then to check on her. To say that Akiko didn't like that was
an understatement, a couple of weeks ago Akiko had come home late one night
to find her mother home and waiting for her. Anya wasn't to sure what had
happened, but she had been gone the next day and Akiko hadn't heard from her
since. Something had happened, but Akiko wasn't talking about it very much.
They had argued and yelled at each other as Akiko's mother tried to act as
if they were a family again, with her in charge and Akiko having to follow
anything she said.

That was about as much as Anya had been able to get out of Akiko, the only
other thing she said was that she had revealed to her mother her special

Akiko was her friend and she was getting mad at her mother for being so
shallow. She closed both of her suitcases and sat them by the front door to
her house. Because of her old job at Gregory Medical, Anya was quite rich
