An Introduction by Lotuseater
It is my signal privilege and genuine pleasure
to introduce a new story (Not Signifying a Return
To Writing, direct quotation) by my friend and
mentor, Ann Douglas. Of whom, I am
embarassed to admit, I am not a pseudonym.
Otherwise I'd have gotten my website up and
running long ago :(
Ann wrote this as a birthday gift to a loved one
(alas, also not me), and doubly honoured me by
asking me to vet and preface it. I did not do the
proofreading (acknowledged by Ann herself
below) of "A Study in Scarlett" but certainly
enjoyed the heck out of it.
She'd not want me to share this with you, but she's
said she'd be surprised if she received a dozen
favourable e-mails. Won't you please join me in
proving her wrong? We have a bet, and I simply
hate to lose...
And Ann, my e-mails won't count!
