Thoughts

All in a Day's Work
When I first wrote the original vignette entitled All in a Day's Work, I saw it as an enjoyable lighthearted romp, but I didn't really ever see it going anywhere. Apparently, quite a few people did, though, and so, by popular demand, I expanded the vignette into a full-fledged story. I guess in retrospect, I can see the appeal. The world of AIADW pretends to be the real world, but a closer look reveals that it is not. It is an idealized world, where sex is free of guilt and complications, pregnancies, diseases, and other real consequences. AIADW presents a world where love triangles are resolved with threesomes, and everyone goes home happy in the end. The appeal of that speaks for itself.

Asian Persuasion
Asian Persuasion is, on the surface, little more than a cheerful sex romp. However, I hope that, below the surface, it conveys a little bit to the reader about the Japanese and the American thought processes. I cannot claim to be an expert on either, but I hope that, in some small way, I have captured the essence of each. Or maybe it's just jingoism.

The Candle Burns
The Candle Burns never got much fanfare. It was one of my early stories, so it's often forgotten. It was released along with the sexy Operation Venus Island and the scary Intruder, and as such, never got read as much as I would like. It is also very short, which turns some people off. Still, I, for one, rather enjoy the images that it conveys of the sweet sting of candle wax. Candle wax is one of my favorite naughty delights, and this story captures the essence of what makes it so wonderful to me.

Craving
I'll admit it, I had no deep message in mind for Craving, and though perhaps an astute reader might find one, I would have to confess it was purely an accident. Craving is, pure and simple, sex between two females. I toyed with the idea of making one of the protagonists male, but I sincerely believe that, for some reason or another, the story just would not "click" with a male the way it does in its current form.

Desires
Desires was a piece built on a single concept, a concept that was later discarded. The story in its current form is but a skeleton. Because of this, I cannot help but be a little disappointed in Desires, as I feel that it could have been much more than it is. What it is, though, is a rather enjoyable little sex romp, and for that, it still has its place here.

Eager to Please
Why is so hard for a woman to initiate sex, even with a man she loves? Is it some deep fear of rejection? Worry about societal scorn-- a lustful woman is always treated differently than a lustful man, of course-- even in her own bedroom? Why must this be curse be part of the female condition? It is so much better when such hangups are entirely overcome, as this tale tells. Nothing particularly kinky here, just some delightful lovemaking between a happily married couple.

Hot Summer Nights
Like All in a Day's Work, Hot Summer Nights was originally a vignette, called One Night, about a particular wonderful self-pleasure experience I had. Since then, I have pleasured myself many times, and amassed enough other experiences that I consider worthwhile, so I have expanded the vignette into a story. I believe that One Night was not just a tale of self-pleasure but a story of self-discovery as well, and as self-discovery never ends, more stories must-- and will-- be told.

Intruder
Some of my stories are lighthearded sex romps that would be offensive to almost no one, save for those completely out of touch with their own sensuality, but Intruder is different. It has been called everything from "supremely erotic" to "disturbing to the core." It is dark erotica, plain and simple, involving pain, degradation, and death. Themes such as these are arousing to some, and repulsive to others, and as such, so is Intruder.

Meri Aag
The title is "My Fire" in Hindi, and it is a sordid saga set in India. It features bilingual text, in English and Hindi, but those with JavaScript and without a working knowledge of Hindi will be happy to know that clicking on any Hindi text will give an English translation. I arrived at the concept of this story after reading a few bilingual erotic stories on various Indian web sites, most of which were written very badly. I knew I could do better with the quality, but the idea of writing in two languages stuck, so Meri Aag was born.

Operation Venus Island
Operation Venus Island is one of my earliest stories, and though I find the themes enjoyable, I often have difficulty writing for it. The theme is female domination, with strong, powerful amazons having their way with a misguided troupe of British army officers. I must keep a balance in OVI, for I do not want it to become comic, nor do I want it to become as dark as, say, Intruder.

Pandora
Pandora is about three times longer than Intruder, and is, hopefully, even more disturbing. It is another dark tale, involving the violation, suffering, and death of an innocent female. I advocate none of these themes in real life, but I believe that fantasies, however twisted they appear to some, must be expressed.

Polarity
Polarity is a story of female dominance in an unlikely form, that of giving oral sex. Though this act is usually thought of as submissive, I express the view that it is the attitude, not the action, that makes dominance. The man is entrusting a very valuable part of himself to the woman, after all, and she can do whatever she chooses with it. Even though she is on her knees, it is clear who is in charge in this sensual short story.

Relax
I think Relax has replaced Spectator Sport as my most popular story, at least from the feedback I have received. Given the combination of the spicy protagonists Lisa and Veronica (the ones from Craving and Spectator Sport, respectively), the forbidden desires, the fetishizing of a sexy object, and the theme of a girl overcoming her insecurity about her sexuality, it is perhaps no surprise that this story resonates with many people. I, too, am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Spectator Sport
Though I can't say that anything like what happens in Spectator Sport has ever actually happened to me, I think that this story brings back fond memories in all of us of the early days of sexual discovery, when we all discovered the treats that our own bodies could give us. That, combined with the thrill of watching and being watched, makes Spectator Sport one of my most popular stories.

Transgressions
Up until the time that I wrote Transgressions, I had not tackled the taboo topic of incest in a story. Real incest can destroy lives, but just like many other potentially destructive elements, that does not stop it from fueling fantasies. Somehow, though, I have the feeling that April and Tiffany will get along with their lives just fine, retaining this memory as a fond one, not awkward or painful as is often the case.

Travels
The title of Travels is appropriate for the content of the story, on several levels, but it is also appropriate for how I felt when I was writing it. The writing of Travels was a meandering, stream-of-consciousness process, and I think that shows in some of the writing. Still, I hope that its wandering is coherent enough that the reader is able to follow the main story, which involves the appreciation of the journey rather than the destination. There is a faintly surreal quality to Travels, both in the events, and because of the meandering style of writing.

Under Her Spell
The theme here, basically, is comeuppance. This story is rather violent, but it is not particularly dark or disturbing, seeing as everyone gets what they deserve in the end, be it good or bad. The moral of the story is a theme that has resonated throughout history and is true even now-- be careful who you pick on while you are on the way up, because you may see them again on the way down.

Wet
On the one hand, the stories in Wet are undeniably hot, at least to anyone who enjoys women at their erotic best, be it immersed in self pleasure or sapphic lovemaking. On the other hand, unfortunately, the overall story is incomplete, and technical difficulties have somewhat sapped my enthusiasm for finishing it. It is, at the present time, incomplete, a shadow of what it could be, and I cannot help but be a touch disappointed in it.

X10
This story was inspired when those little, increasingly obnoxious popup ads for X10 cameras littered the internet. The implication of the ad is taken to its fullest conclusion here, with a male protagonist who is more than happy to see what his female neighbor is up to at all times of day and night-- and she is certainly up to quite a bit, especially in the twist at the end! One reader remarked that this story is obviously "written by a woman, for women," and though the character is male, all females will be able to take heart in the way the story proceeds.
