Any Men Using Vitex?

Are there any men who are taking Vitex? I'm looking for a way to control my subby's sex drive.

Vitex? That's a new one on me. Is it another one of those ED drugs? I've never needed one, myself.

It's an herbal medicine for women. It's supposed to help relieve PMS. I'm not sure why a man would be taking it.

In men, it's supposed to suppress the libido, which is why it's also known as Chaste Tree.

Why would someone want to do that?

Why don't you just lock him up in a chastity device?

Vitex agnus-castus is, indeed, an herbal remedy used by women for PMS. It was also used in medieval times by monks to help them remain chaste (which is why it's also known as Chaste Tree and Monk's Pepper).
I'm a man, and I've been taking Vitex for about six months, now.
Previously, I had been masturbating one or two times a day during the week (usually, when I first woke up and just before bed) and three to five times on weekends and other days off. (I'm single and currently without a partner.) It was consuming hours of my time, so I decided I needed to back off quite a bit. I tried will power, but that didn't work: The longest I was able to go without having an orgasm was just one day.
I remembered hearing about salt peter when I was a kid. I did a little research and found out that that's just a myth. What I did turn up was some information on Vitex. It was kind of scary thinking about messing with my body chemistry, but everything I read said that the effects would be temporary and any adverse effects go away if you stop taking it.
I was desperate, so I got brave and ordered a bottle online. (Okay, so I was too chicken to buy a bottle at the local nutrition center.) I started taking one 80mg tablet a day, first thing in the morning. I had read that it can take twelve weeks or more to show any results in women, but I couldn't find anything about how long it would take to affect men. I was afraid of taking too much, so I just stayed with the one tablet at day. I didn't see any changes, at first, but I didn't notice anything bad happening, either.
After about eight weeks, I noticed that I was content to masturbate just once a day during the week (in the morning); I no longer felt the urge to masturbate when I got home from work or before I went to bed. It also occurred to me that on the previous weekend I had only masturbated once on each day. I decided to see how long I could go without. I was surprised to find that I was able to skip two days before the urge became so great that I couldn't resist.
I continued with one tablet a day, and I was able to get into a routine of masturbating every other morning. Another thing I noticed was that my penis was never really getting entirely stiff. It would swell up to almost full size, but it would remain just a little bit soft (enough so that I probably would have had trouble penetrating a woman, if that had been an option).
By the end of the fourth month, I was masturbating just once a week, and my penis was only getting about half hard. There hasn't really been any change in the past two months. I still feel the need to orgasm, but once a week is sufficient; I never really get that overpowering urge, anymore. Aside from the fact that it's been several months since I've gotten a really firm erection, I haven't noticed any other negative effects.

@funbrenda81
If only! No, I'm not gay. Are you volunteering? I don't see a location in your profile.
