DARES –THE PRELUDE

BY YHETTE

It all started with Lee’s high schools Latvian club. Just a normal secondary school, holding an after school club, for those who wish to learn an obscure language, in this case, it was Latvian but, there had also been Japanese, and African. As to be expected, there was a poor turnout, why be in school learning something unneeded, when u can be at home play a computer game? Latvian club was situated in a language classroom, along the language ‘corridor’, this one corridor took up the majority of the 2nd floor, of the high school, leaving just enough room for 2 sets of stair cases, one at each end, a computer room, and two humanities classes.

Other than Lee, there were two other pupils who decided to join the club. In the blue corner, there was lee’s mate Andy, he has no muscle on him at all and even less ability when it comes to fighting. In the red corner, there was Daniel, slightly bigger build than Andy but, only slightly, the only gay in high school, and not afraid to show it, trying to start a fight with Andy. Stuck between these two, was Lee, a well built lad, much stronger than Andy and Daniel, as well as taller and more experienced in fighting, due to lunchtime ‘sport’. It came to a head with, Andy, trying to strangle Daniel, while Daniel tried to hit Andy, both of them ignoring Lee, who is stood between them. Just before either could impact, Lee pushed Andy in the centre of his chest, sending him backwards towards the windows, and stopping Daniel by pressing his hand just below his throat. Being stupid, Daniel tries to retaliate against Lee, ‘What you think your doing?’ growls Daniel, only to be met smartly by Lee, ‘what do you thing YOUR doing? The teacher will be back in any minute!’ Not really understanding the situation, Daniel tries to attack Lee, who just quickly grabbed the scruff of Daniel’s uniform, and pushing him back first onto a desk, causing both Daniel and Andy to burst out laughing.

Not long after, the teacher walked in, to conduct the lesson, which turned out o be learning there names, the first ten numbers, and the alphabet in Latvian.

After and going downstairs to the toilet, the lesson, Lee went next door, which happened to be his German classroom, to collect his bag. In there he found Daniel, stood in darkness, with his face against the wall.
