A NEW DAWN [ part 4C/5 ] “Why are we not in pain from our ordeal?” Mary asked no one in particular. “A lot to do with the shot they gave you. Millia answered. “A Morphine mix, probably, from the looks of those dilated eyeballs of yours” “Or the double shots of Amiretto we have all ingested” Tasha suggested. “I am tired and my hounds are probably beating every bush from here to Wales looking for me” Alice sighed. “Mary, do you know the location of our clinic?” “And Millia could you drive us there?” A quarter of an hour later, Millia’s car pulled into the Commonwealth’s private hospital entrance. Mary and Tasha stood by as Alice again thanked Millia. “Again my adventures have dragged you in.” “And again I owe you one” Alice said. “Can I come in with you?” Millia asked."I am a really good cook" “Why?” inquired Alice.” You have your family and that husband they arranged for you to go back to” “My life will never be the same” Replied Millia. “Because I am no longer a virgin, the arranged marriage is null and void” “Even though I was kidnapped and raped, my family is dishonored by my continued presence” “Then you most certainly are very welcome to become one of my family, right Mary and Tasha?” Alice replied smiling.
