The whole city was hidden in fog. A few early rays of light were crawling down over the roofs into the streets making pedestrians look up in hope that the day soon would become beautiful. A middle aged man was glaring down on the kitchen table were an old and used book lay shut. After many years of research it had finally come into his possession. The powers that were supposed to lay within the book was said to be unlimited. Now that he finally had gotten it there were just two small problems to solve. First he couldn’t read it even tough he had studied the ancient writings the book was supposed to be written in, second his recherché had uncovered that only a selected female could use it. It had costs half of his life to get this piece of bound parchment into his hands and now it still was useless. Almost - a certain friend of him had told him about a secret society, some kind of cult that was supposed to obey this book as a kind of bible. He had learned that the group was into strange ceremonies were some of them turned into beasts and then raped the left over human members but most importantly they knew how to use it. Unfortunately they were looking for the missing book since centuries and it certainly would mean his death if they found out he had it. His plan was set. He would become a member and then - after a year or so tell them that he just had come to know about the books whereabouts making him one of their leaders. Sure he had no intention sharing the powers but after they had told him how to use it, it would be too late for them.

It had taken a lot of strength to just be able to meet one of that cult. He had to offer a young, virgin girl as gift for them to use at their ceremonies and it took some time to find a pretty victim he could give them as a gift but finally he was standing face to face with an ageless looking man in an expensive looking suit who would talk to him. After a few months when they had seen that he was serious they offered him a place among their midst when he would be able to find the rare female gem they were all searching for, next to the book that he kept hidden. It took the man some months traveling around the country observing high schools and making suggestions to the group until one day they were finally satisfied with his choice. He observed the girl and reported everything to the group until one day during a conversation the cult leader let it slip that the right girl would be able to use the books powers and that it was important to control her. He made up is mind again and one day when he had the chance let the book come into the girls possession. From then on everything changed.

His mind was blank, it was difficult to think. He had been the one to hand over the book to his future queen so that made him important. But he had lost all inhibitions to gain power, he just wanted to serve his new master who would rule the earth in a short while, again. He had strange thoughts in his head and suddenly was able to speak in a long dead language and whenever he met the strange man in that exquisite suit he had a feeling that he was making fun of him. He tried hard to think again. Wasn’t the book’s owner supposed to be able to control everything and everyone? What had the girl done?
