A Fare to Forget

Synopsis

Heather takes a ride in a cab and listens to some prerecorded messages intended to make her ride a little more comfortable.

Author's Notes

My shortest story to date.  The last time I visited New York City, the taxicabs all had pre-recorded messages that played at the beginning and end of rides.  The mind-control possibilities didn't occur to me until one evening at home when I saw an attractive woman getting into a cab.  Two days later I submitted this story to the the EMCSA.  My good friend Cal O'Shaw came up with the title, a play on An Affair to Remember.
