This is actually about two couples, and it turns out much to everyone's surprise that all four of them end up getting a favor.

I played around with this story idea for several months before I finally posted it in 2004 as a single chapter involving three people. After I did, it struck me that perhaps I should write a sequel about the woman who got left out, and I started working on one. Four years later I finally got around to adding two new chapters to the original story.

This is a continuation to Playing the Advantage, which you should read first. Because that story covered only the first of four rather special poker sessions that four devious husbands had planned, I have had requests for follow-up stories. I started working on the next one in the series, but discovered that I wasn't sure what should happen after that first night. There were so many possibilities! I finally decided I would need to explore quite a number of them.

Confession time: This is the only swapping story I've tried to write involving three couples, and I'm not completely satisfied with the result. I was able to keep the six people straight in my own head while writing the story, partly because I based them on real people I have known. But you, dear reader, may find you lose track of who goes with whom. I hope you can enjoy reading about what they are doing even if you are unsure of who is doing it.
