The ASSTR servers force a certain HTML character set encoding (ISO-8859-1, for those of you who're interested),
which makes it very time consuming for me to update this site. My main
site is encoded in a different character set (UTF-8), and I have to convert all the special
characters (curly quotes, em-dashes, ellipses, etc.) if I want to update here.
Consequently, I won't update this site until the ASSTR admins fix the force-encoding issue. They're an
unpaid, all-volunteer group, though, so I don't pester them about it. In the meantime, you can find all
of my stories on my main site, nickscipio.com. (It's completely
free: no sign-ups, no pop-ups, no advertising, no strings attached)
