Looking Through The Lens (Expanded, revised and edited version from 2009, ~155,000 words)
A summer vacation to the beach changes Matt's life. His first romantic relationship with one of the local girls is accompanied by a growing closeness with his oversexed sister. Things become complicated when secrets and long distance start interfering with his simple summer affair, and he is also haunted by the face of a nameless girl he meets on the fishing pier. Despite the support of his sister and their two bisexual mothers, he finds that having a girlfriend is not so easy. It is only through the influence of the women in his life that Matt begins to understand what it means to love someone.
Opus One (Completed, ~285,000 words)
A talented young musician named Richard sets off for the Wexford Conservatory of Music after high school, to study with one of the world’s great pianists. Between lessons with his exacting teacher, and fun times with two fellow first year musicians named Emily and Sandra, Richard discovers that music, friendship and love can lead to passions he'd never imagined. Supported by a cast of characters pulled straight out of the music world, these three aspiring performers find that the life of a musician is that of extremes: formidably challenging, and exceptionally rewarding.
