The World of Miss Strang
In
the early twentieth century, Miss Strang and others published a series
of articles on child rearing and discipline. These often
contained references form child rearing literature of the
period.
The purpose of these articles was the presenting and advancing of the
authors' thoughts and beliefs on the effective disciplining of children
for the enlightenment of parents, nannies, governesses, teachers and
other caregivers. What follows are selected titles from those writings.
(Note, these are fictional stories, not real articles from
that era.) Under
this heading there is also some additional material related to Miss
Strang that is not part of the main storyline (like letters).
