Gun Control - An Apology

If you've ever been around Usenet any length of time, you know there are a few topics that you want to avoid. Abortion, Scientology, Macintosh vs. IBM computers, ....

But most of all, you want to avoid gun control debates.

Much to my horror, a gun control discussion flamed up in alt.sex.stories.d. In an unsuccessful attempt at cutting the debate off before it got out of hand, I tried to redirect the thread towards something more on topic to a newsgroup dedicated to talking about sex stories.
