The Dulcinea Festival
In May of 2001, Mat Twassel proposed a contest. In memory of the old-time alt.sex.stories author Dulcinea, he invited authors to submit stories in the style of Dulcinea. The stories would be given to a panel of judges, who would award medals the authors who best captured the spirit of the late, great author of Internet porn. The competition attracted 38 stories from many different authors. I wasn't one of them. For one thing, my wife was one of the judges. For another, I really didn't have time. That didn't mean I wasn't interested. A little later, I wrote up this little ditty. Fortunately, since the competition was over, I was not constrained by the rules of the competition. So I made mine a few hundred words too long. And I mention the name of the girl. And real Dulcinea stories are a usually a bit more cursory in the descriptions. The contest entries, including the winners, can all be found on Rui Jorge's site. |

My stories have been released into the public domain. Redistribute them, rewrite them, claim them as your own, do anything you like with them. But, out of courtesy to the author, I humbly request that you not remove my name or contact information. I still like to hear from my readers. |
