This story starts the day that August and Daniel arrived to XX century as is narrated in the first part. ***** Josh and the Strange New Kid by Masked Man In the 70's, when Josh was 18, he lived in a small far community. He had a hard childhood and was raised by his mom and often by his strict uncle James, a man well known in the town, with the secret pleasure of spanking boys. Josh was the boyfriend of the Sheriff's daughter Melissa. Josh remained silent impacted, almost hypnotized with the little lad; he was the most beautiful boy that Josh had ever seen. Also his clothes, he never saw clothes like those, so baggy and colored; who could be that boy? He had hanged out with a lot of kids, but that child looked so different and serious, something with this beautiful kid was strange, the boy was so beauty and mysterious. "Hi honey. Did you miss me?" The next day he heard that the kid's dad will be the new technician, so the strange lad will be there for a long time. "Now I MUST be friend of that new kid, all kids love me so I think it will be easy..." Josh thought happy and enthusiastic. Unfortunately things were not so easy for Josh the next days. The boy was a very strange kid; he wasn't interested at all to make friends of his age in his new home, Josh never saw him playing something, running or doing anything that any other normal kid does. It was the summer vacation, so children hadn't school, and the kid remained in home but one or 2 times per day he gone out to take a walk alone. More than once Josh told him "hi" trying to start a chat, but the boy only used to reply "hello" very serious to continue walking alone, he even was evasive with Josh. What was happening? Josh continued watching the new kid's house trying to see him and even to follow him subtlety in his daily walks. One day he saw the new kid coming back from one of his walks with his girlfriend Mel, and the kid was talking with her very happy and spontaneously!! How was possible that?! They should be back in 'home' in the future now, they made one of the greatest inventions in all times and they were trapped in the past. August told him that they only needed a wire easy to get, he had an entire workshop; so why August hadn't fixed the diodo yet? Daniel was very nervy sunk in his thoughts, walking trying to distract himself and relieve a bit his anxiety when Josh intercepted him. "Hi Danny, how are you? You don't have friends here now or yes? Daniel always felt something strange in Josh's sight that didn't like to him, that's why he was so evasive, besides he thought he will be soon back in his epoch so it was pointless to befriend the locals, and he was not in mood to try to reply to Josh in a polite way: "First sir, my name is not 'Danny', I'm 'Daniel'; second I have very important things to think and do to play stupid pointless games with you; I'm not interested in marbles or other thing you can give me. I have things to do, so I don't make you waste more your time, so excuse me; I have to go..." Daniel told in a very serious 'adultish' tone. Josh remained there stunned and confused for some seconds as Daniel walked away. When he reacted he bitted his lip and started running home; he was feeling so terrible, he felt that he lost everything in a single move. He entered in his house closing noisily the door. "Hey, what happened to you?" asked his surprised mom. "Nothing, it's not your business, leave me alone" replied in a rude tone; he slammed his room's door and felt over his bed to cry; "stupid arrogant brat, I could be his best friend; I could protect him from anyone or do whatever for him, we could be the best friends, stupid arrogant brat..." Josh repeated to himself while covering his pillow with tears. Josh stopped lurking Daniel's place and was in very bad mood the next couple of days, his interest and curiosity were still there but he felt that he could do nothing now; he was very frustrated and full of resent. Trying to find something to do he accepted to baby sit one of the local boys while his parents had gone shopping to the city. Daniel felt that not only Melissa was beautiful; she also was sweet and very nice with him. Danny nodded shyly and followed her to the kitchen. In that moment Josh entered in the house. He found Daniel and Mel in their way to the kitchen. "Oh! Hello honey, look we have visitors." She told proud holding Daniel's hand. Josh remained stunned with the pleasant surprise; looking Daniel repeatedly from feet to head. He thought that boys in shorts are cute, each day that he followed Daniel, Josh was waiting to see him wearing 'shorties', but that never happened. But now the evasive lad was in front of him in a place that was like his second house; he looked more childish this time, he was almost hypnotized with the sight of his thin pale thighs. The only thing he could do is to avoid trouble, so as a reply he silently nodded submit. "Hey Josh!!" "Hi Josh!" The children smiled when they saw Josh entering, kids loved him. Besides Kevin was a bit bored of playing with 'yukki girls'. Kevin was 9, while both girls were 8. "Look kids who is with me. He is Danny." "Nice to meet you Danny" Repeated the children in chorus, more as an attention for Josh than for Daniel. As a reply the boy just nodded shyly. "Guess what?! When the laughs calmed down Josh had an evil idea. "Hey Kevin; the mosquito kid hasn't received his 'baptize' in this town yet, are you capable to do the task alone?" "Eh! Sure..." The girls retired singing in a very childish way to tease Daniel. He knew it was something childish and stupid without importance; but for some reason he felt his blood burning while hearing them. Girls and boys are like 'natural enemies' for that kind of things, with all and all Daniel was just a 10 yo boy. "Danny! Hurry, we are waiting you!!" Greta's screamed impatient. Daniel finally moved and entered into the house... "Oh look at you!! What happened to your clothes?! You are all dirty!" a surprised and angry Greta took a spoon and then approached to Daniel holding his wrist. "Now you will going to 'get it'; lets go to your room." Mel, Josh and the other adults were laughing very fun switching from some jokes to politics comments, it would be wonderful to learn about XX century's politics to later talk with August about it, but he barely could heard the adults because of the noise and 'dumb' chat of the other kids. He really wanted to eat a bit of that big chicken in the main table, but the kids just received a small hamburger and a bit of jelly. The crowded place turned peaceful around an hour later when the guests had gone taking their kids with them; Cindy got ready after the other guests departure and gone to sleep. Josh and Mel were still in the table talking about school mates and music. Meanwhile, a bored Daniel took an engineering book from George's college; "Oh! I can't believe it! This people are still in the 'stone age'..." Daniel was smiling finding the book very amusing, in some sort of way feeling nostalgia for his former way of life... "Leave that book in its place, it's expensive and it's not for children..." ordered a hurried looking Greta. "Oh, God! It's very late, come on Danny, bath time." The woman guided the boy upstairs, Daniel felt a cold sweat in his body hearing the word 'bath', but he followed her sheepishly trying to avoid trouble and the unwanted consequences. Also Josh was shocked and couldn't help turning his head and start to feel anxious after hearing that... Daniel thought that perhaps he has nothing to worry, but as he feared when both where in the bathroom Greta ordered to strip and she didn't look with intention of leave him. "Thank you very much ma'am but I can do it myself..." Daniel was struggling a little with Greta while she tried to strip him. "But look your state! Your father gave me a clean looking boy and I have the responsibility tomorrow to give him back a clean looking boy..." "I see ma'am, I promise you that I will be very clean OUCH!!..."
