When I first got web access, I wandered the red light district to see
what was there. For the most part, all I saw were repetitive picture sites,
using pictures that looked like they had been recycled from old BBS's and
the Usenet. Not enough to hold my interest. But I loved the stories. Then,
looking for story pages, I found one that was interesting combination of
both pictures and stories. A fellow who styled himself Laserfaire, or Cathy's
Husband, had put up a site using pictures of his wife that he had taken
over a twenty-plus year period, starting when she was still in high school.
He combined truth and fantasy in a most engaging and tasteful way. They
were true adult pages: teenagers and those who were not married or in a
committed relationship would probably fail to see a lot of the eroticism.
There was a wonderful sense of anticipation, waiting for the next installment,
wondering what new photos and new adventures would appear.
Finally, changes in the netscape forced him to close the pages. By that
time, we were email friends. Lack of visitors contributed to the problem.
Not wanting the site to go down, I offered to write up one of the fantasies,
and post it to the Usenet, with the URL included, in hopes that he would
get some renewed interest. Despite my lack of experience in this type of
writing, he said to go ahead. This story was the result.
Most of the plot and all of the characters were derived from the web
site. I only put the ideas into story form. So I can't take much credit
for originality. Moreover, my real life work involves substantial writing,
but the nature of that writing is quite technical when compared to fiction.
This was my first ASS story, and it reflects some of that technical bias
in its structure. I like the situation, the "professional" pressure that
gives this "model" an excuse to be a little risque, but I think my other
stories are better written.
