Arthur and Tracy Bronner have been long-time friends of Gordon and Paula. Although the Bronners are very conservative, the friendship has flourished. Art has just obtained a two-week, yearly lease on an apartment in an upscale hunting/fishing resort in Canada. This year, he has invited Gordon to join him for two weeks of outdoor adventures, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. Gordon and Paula think it's a great idea, but Tracy is very unhappy about the situation. Taking her aside, Paula suggests that if the husbands can have a two-week, Canadian vacation, the wives ought to have at least a one-week vacation at a location of their choice. Being poorly placed to object, the men agree only to find that their wives have no intention of telling them where they intend to go... at least not until their plane to Canada is in the air. So it happens that both the husbands and their wives get to enjoy a fishing expedition... with the husbands fishing for big game in the lakes of Canada and the wives fishing for big game of a far different type.
