So, here are the stories. They're only written for the hell of it, which means I haven't a clue whether anyone
actually likes them or not unless I get a bit of feedback.
So, please use my comments page (anonymously if you want) or simply
send me an e-mail to let me know what you think:
any genuinely constructive criticism will be taken on board (unhelpful flames will
just be ignored - I guess I'm never going to be the next Tolstoy, but I know
from the emails I get and the average ratings and the other sites who've posted my work that the material's not that bad).
The tediously predictable viruses from juvenile jokers, puerile
prats and other teenage tossers with IQs smaller than their shoe size will also get nowhere, so don't bother.

Mirrorman
February 2002, Length: 28k Hits: 7448, Rating: 8.8 read it |
By some inexplicable mystic trickery, a young woman finds herself no more than
a reflection, trapped inside a mirror-world by her unknown assailant. Helplessly,
she looks on as he enjoys himself with her body in the real world.
My first attempt at a mind-control tale, written on request. I was interested to know what other people think of it. Judging by the hits + ratings, I'll have to do a follow-up. |

Reins of Power
January 2003, Length: 43k New - hits and ratings to follow read it |
Simeon Waterstaff was the man who ran the city and when he died, the fight between
the gangs and mobs to take over the reins of power grew vicious. The corrupt local police chief's daughter
is kidnapped, as part of a plan to put the frighteners on him. The new boss is then about to take her back
to school when a misunderstanding presents him with a most tempting alternative.
Warning: this one's a little harder/heavier than most of what I put on here. Mind you, that's what mostly seems to get the best ratings... |

Gray Duke
July 2002, Length: 102k Hits: 1840, Rating: 7.9 read it |
An unspecified fantasy setting somewhere in medieval Europe.
The Gray Duke is a ruthless and power-hungry conqueror, warrior and overlord with an army of equally tyrannical and merciless
soldiery helping him slowly to subdue the surrounding fiefdoms and unite them into one country. Two of his victims, poles
apart socially but bonded by their desire for revenge, end up in a partnership to plot against him.
This is a longer piece with considerably more character background than usual, working on the premise that the erotic elements are more effective if you've had longer to associate and empathize with the figures involved. As always, I'm interested to know whether this works for you or not... |

Teflon
October 2002, Length: 29k Hits: 623, Rating 8.1 read it |
This one is basically autobiographical and was written to make a point.
Interracial stories are often very negative (there are too many stupid stories floating around
about black guys with impossibly large penises raping white women, etc). Okay, there are relatively
few interracial relationships, but they have to put up with so much shit that they're often
pretty good ones. I wanted to help put the record straight with a "true" story.
Okay: I don't play guitar, her brother isn't a dangerous criminal and it wasn't quite that spontaneous... |

Rebel Star
October 2001, Length: 67k Hits: 4243, Rating: 8.5 read it |
During his deportation to a penal colony, computer criminal Lucas plans a one-man
mutiny and takes over the transport ship. In the ensuing orgy of destruction, his
crew capture a small Imperial cruiser. He realises they've bitten off more than
they can chew, when it turns out that his hostages include the High Princess and
several other noblewomen from her entourage.
The setting is science-fiction, but the writing is of course primarily about the people. So it's not full of ray-guns and little green men from Alpha Centauri: bad luck if that's your thing (although Trekkies and Asimov fans etcetera etcetera may find a few references to giggle at). These are the juicier extracts from a full-length work, rewritten to stand alone as a set of short stories. |

Exodus
in progress I was going to wait until the whole thing was ready, but that's not progressing very fast. I've had a few enquiries by email, so I'm going to put a couple of chunks of it on the site shortly (oct/nov) |
A middle-caste archaeologist, one of the mass of downtrodden and subjugated lower
ranked Federal citizens, discovers some ancient terminals in a military bunker
from the last millennium. Wonder of wonders, they are still very much active and
he is able to boost himself up to the highest echelons of power. Once there, he
can do as he pleases, sampling the very best the Federation has to offer while
beginning to plot the downfall of the system.
Another future-world setting, in which the cognoscenti will pick out at the very least bits of 1984, Brave New World and the Handmaid's Tale. Again parts of a full-length novel, rewritten to stand alone as a set of short stories. |
