Harriet's Place: a world of erotica
And so it goes

And so it goes, the fates compose,
And so it seems, contented dreams:
A world that's filled with wonder.

But starry views, rose-tinted hues,
With cruel delight compounding night
Conspires to rip asunder.

I'd like to know what debt we owe
That death's dark reign should so ordain
Your life should be so brief.

I loved you Jamie, love you still
Your sweet caress, your fond embrace
I'll treasure through my grief.

I feel your presence everywhere:
On crowded streets, in dark retreats,
The perfume on the rose

But onward, onward, come what may
I won't forget, I can't regret
My love, and so it goes.
