David Weber!? David Weber?! What in hell is a spotlight for David Weber doing among all these Authors of Erotica? Well, his books are pretty fucking good, that's what! I am as much an aficionado of Science Fiction as I am of Erotica. I particularly love it when the genres cross paths (But trust me - that doesn't happen in this case - much.) So, I'm not at all embarrassed to recommend On Basilisk Station and The Honor of the Queen , both of which may be read or downloaded FREE in their entirety from the Baen Free Library. Warning: The free stories are part of a (highly successfull) plot to addict you to the authors, so you'll rush to the bookstore to buy them AND their sequels. Happily, I own them all, including War of Honor (in hardback) which came with a CD containing ALL of the Honor Harrington series in .HTML and .DOC and palm reader formats, as well as a sampling of novels and anthologies by other authors. What a deal! Are you going to the Baen Free Library? If you do, check out 1632 by Eric Flint. Remember what I said about genre-crossing? Jeff and Gretchen's wedding night would fit in with any other story at ASSTR. Okay, okay - it's only one scene in the entire story (which may very well be romance disguised as alternative history Sci-Fi), but you might get addicted to Eric Flint, too, and he's co-written a number of novels with David Weber. It all ties in, see? |
