There are no bad choices on Uther's web site! I particularly like all of the Bob & Jeanette Brennan stories, the entire "Heart Ball" series, and "Rampant."

I have used a Pendragon story as a training aid when discussing the facts of life™ with my daughter. (I told her to read it in privacy. The actual discussion was brief but the point was taken. :-) I used to invite folks to ask which one. Never mind - I'll tell you below.

The Brennan Stories

The stories about the marriage of Bob and Jeanette Brennan. A third of his stories, about two thirds of his words, most of his reputation, by his own estimation. It's a mighty fine reputation!

 

Heart Ball

Elizabeth is only a few years younger than her new husband, Karl. She is, however, as inexperienced as thirteenth century people expected of a baron's daughter; he has the experience that they expected of a knight.
