Double Your Pleasure

One of my readers, who has also become a very welcome regular correspondent, once suggested a sequel to “The New Girl.” Others have done so, but this particular suggestion really caught my fancy. Check back on the now successful and prosperous agent, he suggested, and have him interview a pair of beautiful virgin teenage redheaded twin sisters. Well, that alone is pretty intriguing, but he went on to say “...who dream of becoming the next Doublemint Twins.”

You youngsters may not catch the reference, but back in my day, the Doublemint Twins were the advertising epitome of girl-next-door wholesomeness. The idea of a story in which two such innocents get the full audition treatment stuck in my mind for weeks on end.

This picture, then, is for “tigerd” with my sincere thanks for that idea and for dozens of other enjoyable conversations.

“So make up your mind, girlie, you and your sister wanna be models, or doncha?”
