I honestly have to say that I have read many a story, and this is only the second very well written one that actually contains a workable, in-depth storyline to go with the excellent sexual scenes. There were several of the sexual scenes that I did not care for just out of personal preference, but so many of the others were excellent that it was very easy to keep reading. I was especially impressed with some of the descriptions and scenes in the development of Danielle and Andrew's relationship. You seem to have some experience or a wonderful grasp of the concept of soulmates which is rare for me to find and greatly appreciated. To again be honest, that portion of the story line brought both a few tears and some great joy to me as I read. I used to be an avid reader of many forms, but have not had the time to do so hardly at all in the past year or so. When I very much enjoy something I am reading, I tend not to stop, and I read all but the last half of the last chapter in one sitting. Thank you for you excellent work,
I first read the Coven on the Usenet years and years ago (1-7), and thought then it was on of the better stories I had come across. Frankly I don't see why you had any trouble getting it published, unless it's that most publishers of erotica aren't used to dealing with dreary things like character development and plot.
I just read "The Coven" yesterday--somewhat to my chagrin because I got so involved, I stayed up much later than I should have to finish it. As a general rule, this is not the type of story I would read, however, looking over the first chapter caught my interest and I read the entire thing. I think it's a great story! Certainly it's a different way of looking at the world. I thought the character development was well done, and there was a nice amount of plot in the entire story.
WOW! I just got through reading the entire thing and I am blown away! That was so great!! :) That's one of the best things I have EVER read! The deepened character growth of Danielle and Andy really helped the story. I also loved the increased involvement with Gina. She was my favorite character above all, and really came across strongly as the coven leader. I love how Susan starts off seeming to be this bitch goddess and as we get to know her, realize she's just as human as Dani or Gina. Oh, and Lia's big scene was wonderful. I loved how you got Angie more involved in the story as well. I'm just so blown away.
I am sorry that your efforts to get published have been so frustrating. I love the way you write and would love to see your talent recognized through the publishing industry. Keep writing.
Nicely done with a lighter touch on the smoking fetish
Fabulous Story-well written, characters well developed. Why must this story line stop?
I will have a few quibbles in a moment, so I should say up front first that this novel was, without question, the hottest piece of erotic femdom fiction that I have ever read! You blended the idea of this supernatural power with beliveable female characters in a way I have never seen before. Most of the time, when a magical element is present in an erotic story, the story is other-worldly. "The Coven" was nicely grounded in the real world, which made your wonderful depiction of these women and their power over the metaphysical plane seem very real, and so, VERY exciting. The style of "The Coven" reminds me a lot of Roger Zelazny's (non-erotic) "Nine Princes in Amber" fantasy novel series. The fantastic and the mundane were all blended and laid out in a very deadpan way. Bravo! The female characters are so REAL. Gina: the wise, tough, but ultimatly fair and just Matriarch. Dani, the strong-willed but sensual young woman, who can be cruel but is at her core sweet, but also dangerously reckless. Mistress Susan (sigh!) the professional Dominatrix who is instantly familiar to any man who has ever actually spent a session with a talented pro fem-dom. And then Lia (shiver!) terrifying, intoxicating Lia -- you know Her, you fear Her, and you can't help but be fascinated by her, despite knowing full well she will lead you to ruin, and then laugh at you over her shoulder as she walks away, giving you not another thought as she seeks her next victim.
great story.would like to see more chapters added to this story.
I think you could have done a few more chapters:)
This by far was the best story I have read, Please continue.
My compliments. The mix of plot and seductive
narative was most appealing.
I'm only on chapter 5. It's
great, but will take me awhile to finish it. Bravo!
