Chapter 7

The next morning, Ian woke again with the sun. He made coffee, and both girls woke and came to sit with him.

“You know, Ian.” Cindy said, “We are going to miss you a lot. This little trip has been pretty wonderful.”

“Yeah, I know I’ll miss you, too.” Talena said.

“I’ll miss you two as well, besides, it won’t be for that long. These kids are learning fast, and soon they’ll know that they are really training to actually fly. You two will be back aboard long before our babies decide to make an appearance.” Ian said.

“I know it won’t be that long, but it’ll sure seem like it.” Cindy said.

“We’ll all be back together soon lover, I need you two, to take care of each other until then though, Okay?” Ian asked them.

They both nodded, but seemed gloomy. Talena got up to fix breakfast, since she never really learned how to cook, she got the toaster out of a cupboard, and got waffles out of the freezer.

They ate a quiet breakfast, and took turns in the shower. They got dressed and started their day.

Ian was informed that the shuttle with the security team would be landing in about an hour; he headed for Elias and Laura’s house.

He knocked on the door, and was greeted by Stephanie.

“Good Morning, Ian. The folks are in the kitchen. I think they’re mostly decent.” She said, smiling.

“”Mostly decent’? Damn! I missed all the fun!” Ian chuckled back.

She shook her head. “I thought I was supposed to be the kid here! Last night I had to ask them to keep it down, Kyle and I couldn’t sleep!” She laughed. “Actually, I think they’ve been sitting in the kitchen since Dad got back with Aunt Andrea, a couple of hours ago.” She stepped aside as she let Ian in.

“Thanks, Steph. By the way, We’ll be leaving tonight, if that’s ok?” He told her.

Her eyes lit up, and she grinned, “Okay! I’ll tell Kyle! We’ve already said good bye to our friends. We told them that we were gonna ride with you, and it might be short notice.” She said excitedly, and headed back to the bedroom to tell Kyle.

Ian walked into the kitchen to see a grinning trio sitting at the table. “Good morning, Elias, Laura. You must be Andrea, welcome. I’m sorry to bother you, but I was just informed our new security people are going to be here in about an hour, and they are gonna need a place to sleep.”

Laura stood and grabbed her notebook. “I hope they don’t mind bunking together for a short time, I think I only have one trailer left.”

“I don’t think that’ll be a problem, they used to be a Seal team, so I don’t think it’ll bother them to much.” Ian said.

Elias smiled proudly, “Ian Williams, let me introduce my sister, Andrea Johnson. Andrea, this is the young man responsible for everything. Ian Williams.”

Ian held his hand out to her, “Please call me Ian.”

She took his hand and shook softly, “Andrea. Elias and Laura have told me a lot of what’s going on here. I sure hope that you’ll consider hiring me. It sounds like something I’d love to be a part of.” She looked at Laura and Elias as she said the last.

Ian smiled back at her, but asked Elias and Laura, “How much have you told her?”

Laura answered, “Actually, we’ve told her pretty much everything. She knows about the ship, and the Enemy. We’ve told her about the mission of the facility here, and about the young pilots. She knows pretty much everything, including how relationships work around here. We’d just gotten to that part when you got here.”

“Well, I’ll try not to interrupt too much more. One last thing I wanted to tell you, I’ll be leaving again tonight for the ship. Andrea, you’re welcome to come along, just to meet the other doctor, and see the ship. I’m sure another shuttle will be coming back tomorrow night. But you don’t have to, you can come up anytime you want.” He looked up at Laura, We’ll need to talk to the family that will be going with me.” He stopped her as she began to stand. “Later, you’ve got other business first.” He smiled, and winked at Andrea. “Elias, you went to pick her up right?” Ian continued when Elias nodded, “Okay, you’ve got the day off. I’ll only steal Laura long enough to take care of that one thing, and she can be back here with you. Just let me know when would be a good time.” Ian said.

“Would a couple of hours be okay?” Laura asked.

“I’d like to be there too, I know them.” Elias added.

Ian nodded, “Whatever you think is best. I’ll see you later then.”

Ian left the smiling trio and went to go see if Saunders was up yet. Computers needed to be ordered. Laura and Andrea would both need laptops, so they might as well get busy ordering some of the other equipment as well.

He found Saunders at the arcade running systems test, and asked him to get the equipment ordered. He said he would get started on it today.

After clearing it with Saunders, Ian climbed in one of the simulators. He had been away from it for a few days, but it felt good to be climbing into a cockpit again, even if it was just a simulator.

Ian flew a solo training flight, designed to give him a feel for the craft, and handling the weapons. Since it was Ian in the cockpit instead of one of the kids, the simulator software had some fun with him.

When Star creates a program, especially one as complex as the simulator, one of the first things she does is actually copy herself into the program, then sets up the definitions to form the parameters of the system. Because of this, the simulator had Star's basic 'personality'. It wasn't as complex as Star was, but it didn't need to be. However it did need to be interactive; and it recognized Ian.

Shortly after Ian climbed into the simulator, Cindy and Talena led their pilots into the arcade. It was normal procedure to have a visual of the flight in progress on the big monitor. Everyone was immediately drawn to the screen. Talena asked who was flying, but Saunders just smiled.

The Simulator actually re-adjusted itself to Ian's skill, constantly testing him. It started at the lowest level, and then would jump a level to see if Ian could do it. When he did, it would jump another level, so shortly Ian was approaching the level that the kids had achieved.

Ian was in the groove, and he was having fun. He kept his speed high, and used momentum almost as much as he used his engines. The simulator would ambush him and he would turn the tables. The simulator would overwhelm him, only for him to run, luring the enemy fighters away from the aid of their fellows, and pick them off one by one. He had no idea how well he was doing, but he felt great. His heart was pounding, and his blood was racing, as he shot down the last enemy on his screen. He turned his fighter back to base, and landed. The Simulator thanked him, and he got out to the applause of all the assembled students.

He blushed, and apologized for showing off. Cindy and Talena both just shook their heads and chuckled. "You just out flew every single one of our students." Cindy told him.

"Naw, I was just having fun is all." Ian said.

Talena just looked at him, "Go check with Saunders, I'll bet anything you blew these hotshots right out of the water."

Ian smiled, and walked over to Saunders. Cindy and Talena then got their kids to work.

"Very impressive, Sir." Saunders said quietly.

Ian cocked his head to one side, as he looked at Saunders. "Really? How'd I do?"

"210% over recorded enemy ability. Star also told me to tell you, you've passed flight school. You're a certified pilot. She said she had no idea you could fly that well." He told Ian.

"This is a game Saunders, not actual combat. I doubt I could fly that well for real." Ian said.

"You forget, Sir, This system was designed, mostly by Star, to be as close to actually flying as possible. If you actually got into a fighter, I doubt you could tell the difference." Saunders said.

"Maybe not, but my brain would sure know." Ian said, smiled, and smacked him on the back. "Well, I need to get back to work. See ya Saunders."

"Have a good one, Sir." He retorted.

Ian headed for the front gate, if his internal clock was accurate, the security team should be getting here soon, and he wanted to talk to Tommy anyway.

He walked out to the front gate, and Tommy came out to meet him. "Something wrong, Mr. Williams?" He said.

"Nope, just expecting someone soon, and thought I would come out to wait for them, and to talk to you a bit. Try to get to know you better." Ian said.

"Well, you're certainly welcome, Sir. I don't mind the company." Tommy said.

They went inside the Guard Shack, a small house really; it had a small bed in one corner, as well as a kitchenette and a restroom.

"Can I get you something to drink?" Tommy asked.

"Got any soda? It's a hot one today." Ian said.

"Everyday is hot here. I have Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and A&W Root Beer." Tommy replied.

"Damn! I like all of them, how about a Root Beer?" Ian said.

Tommy got two, and came back to the small table. He sat down and opened his he took a drink, and then asked, "So, who's coming in? If I may ask?" He said with a grin.

"Well, you remember the group that arrived by chopper the other day? They are our new security team. They're coming back to get settled in. I hope you don't mind, but you'll be working closely with them." Ian said.

"No, I won't mind." He said, but seemed kind of nervous.

"Hey, what's up? Do they intimidate you?" Ian asked.

"Huh? No, it's not that. I, uh, well; it's nothing, never mind." He said and regained his composure.

"Tommy, it may not seem like a big deal, but I would rather have you comfortable with your situation then having to tolerate something you find uncomfortable. Tell me what it is, and maybe we can find a way around it." Ian said.

"Really?” He sounded skeptical, “There are a few things I am a little uncomfortable about. In fact I was going to ask Elias to find someone else to do this job, I, uh, I think I might be spending too much time alone. I think I'm starting to see things." He admitted, and hung his head. "Sir, I like this job, I love the solitude. I've never been a people person, I can take one or two people for a short time, but a group of people gets me shaking. I thought I was crazy, a therapist I saw once said I needed to slowly get myself used to people. I tried it but, just couldn't do it. So this job seemed like a blessing." He said. "From the first however, I've been seeing things I know are not there. Almost every truck I let into the area, doesn't look like a truck to me. I swear Sir, I'm not drinking, or anything, but it looks to me like the load is simply floating along, with this thing above it." He shook his head.

Ian sat stunned. Tommy could see through the holograms. He wished he could call Beth right now, or Star. "Tommy, I… I am truly sorry that you think you're going crazy. However, there is nothing wrong with you. I'll explain more later, but for now, I want you to know what you are seeing is real. The Semi that other people see is the fake image. It’s a hologram produced to cover up what we don't want others to see." Ian said.

Tommy looked at him like he had lost his mind. "Sir, you can't be serious! Those things aren’t real!"

Ian looked him in the eye, Tommy was almost hysterical. "Tommy, please trust me. I will explain everything, but you need to know that what you see is real. Try to relax, and breathe slowly. You have a gift that allows you to see through to the truth." Ian said.

Tommy slowed his breathing, and closed his eyes. Ian could see him fight and win back control of his emotions. He slowly opened his eyes, and nodded to Ian.

"Now, call me Ian. Hell, I'm only 18. I'd rather be a friend too, instead of just your boss." Ian said. "I'm pretty open minded about a lot of things, don't let things like this get all bottled up. That will drive you crazy. There is a lot more to this whole operation then you've been told. But that explanation will have to wait for a bit, since we don't have time to really get into it now; the team will be here before I could get through the explanation. But I will explain everything to you, later today. Now, what is the problem you have with the team?" Ian said. Star had flashed a message to him that the team had just landed and would be at the gate in about 10 minutes.

Tommy blushed a bit, "Well, I'm uh… I'm attracted to the two women. When I seen them the first time the other day, I couldn't help but stare at them. It was all I could do to act normal until you all left."

Ian smiled, and didn't actually laugh. "Well you defiantly fit in with us!" he said. "Look, try not to worry about it, If either of them like you too, I am sure they'll let you know about it. Neither of them strikes me as the subtle type."

"You think they will?" He sounded hopeful.

Ian wanted him to relax, but he didn't want him to get his hopes up either. "Look, Tommy, Just relax and be yourself. If it's gonna happen, it'll happen. You're a nice guy, they will be working with you, and so you'll all have to get along. They'll be here in a few minutes, and I'm going to introduce you to the head of the team. Will that be okay with you?" Ian asked.

"Yeah, six people I can handle for a while. Just relax and be myself, you sure that'll work?" He asked

"Trust me, every pick up line I've ever heard, sounds just like a pick up line. Being yourself will get you farther then anything else. Just relax." Ian said.

"Thanks, Ian. I do trust you, but I'll need that explanation. Now I've more questions then answers, and that bothers me more then people do." Tommy said, grinning.

Ian nodded, and then pointed out the vehicles coming down the road.

Three dune buggies and one van pulled up. Tommy looked at the van, and just shook his head. He walked up to the lead vehicle with Ian. The team climbed out of the vehicles, and gathered by the lead vehicle.

"Reporting for duty, Sir" Ty said with a smirk on his face.

"Have an eventful trip, Ty?" Ian asked.

He nodded his head, "Very informative. We learned a lot of new things. I have to admit when you first told me about this, I didn't believe a word, but you made us promise to let you prove it. I'm glad you did, the team agreed to sign on within the first hour." He grinned.

"Well, I hope you don't mind bunking together for a bit, We've ran out of houses, and only had one left to give your team. Shouldn't be for to long though, we've got more on order. The other thing I wanted to talk to you about is Tommy here, I'd like to keep him on as the sentinel, but he would be under your department. Tommy, this is Ty; your new boss." Ian said.

Ty shook his hand. "You had any military training?"

            "A bit" Tommy said, smiling.

"Good, I'd like to talk to you later about it, so we know what skills you have." Ty said.

"Sure, anything you need to know, just ask." Tommy said. He looked at the rest of the team, and smiled. He got smiles back.

"Well, Ty, why don't you and I head over to Laura's so she can tell you where to bed down, and you can get your crew settled. Your team can get to know Tommy." Ian said with a wink to Tommy.

"Sounds good, We'd like to get settled so we can get to work." Ty said.

"Don't take this wrong, but I hope you have a very boring job." Ian said.

Ty nodded, and climbed back in to the sand rail. Ian climbed in the other side, and they took off for Laura's.

Ian looked back as they pulled away, he saw Tommy leading the team into his guard shack.

"He seems like a nice kid." Ty said, noticing Ian's look.

"He is a nice guy. I honestly didn't even know he had a military back ground. He does have the ability to see through holograms. I get to tell him the whole truth later today because he thought he was loosing his mind when he kept seeing things that he knew didn't exist. Now he knows he isn't crazy, but doesn't know why yet." Ian said.

"He'll be okay. He strikes me as the adapting type. He can adjust to anything given time." Ty said as they pulled up in front of Elias'.

"Did John tell you about the lifestyles? I forget to tell people that before they join us." Ian said, remembering that Andrea was here now too.

"Actually he did. It was one of the reasons in favor of our joining you. Tab and Sam have been lovers since Seal training, and the rest of us are either Bi or Gay. So yeah he told us, and no, Homosexuality doesn't bother us. None of us consider the brother/sister and the like to be incest, because we're not normal Terrans." He said.

"That's good to know. I was a bit worried about what you might think when you find out my mother and sister are pregnant, and they are both mine." Ian said.

Ty grinned, "I've got to admit that taking on three women might seem insane to anyone else."

"Four actually, Talena has become our lover as well." Ian said, grinning.

Ty shook his head, and climbed out of the vehicle. "It's a wonder you can still walk."

"Not really," Ian said, "I've a lot of help" He smiled as the meaning dawned on Ty.

They got the teams housing assignment, and Ty left. Ian and Laura walked over to Luke and Sara's house. Andrea asked to come along as well, since Elias was sleeping, and Ian agreed. Laura had sent Kyle over to tell Luke he had the day off to get ready to go that evening. During the walk, Ian sent a message to Cindy and Talena: 'Please send Tara Belden home.' Ian and Laura got there just as Tara jogged up.

"Hi Laura! Hi Mr. Williams! That was sure some bit of flying you did earlier! Everyone couldn't stop talking about it. But then again since you’re the designer, you should know how to fly it." The almost breathless teen blurted out between gasps for air.

"Tara, you should know better then to run in this heat." Ian said, kindly. "Thanks for the compliment though, but I'm not the designer, it was a team effort." He said.

Tara smiled at him, and opened the door. "Mom! Dad! I'm home, and Laura and Mr. Williams are here too." She called as she walked through the door.

Ian and Laura explained everything to the Belden family. It really took some explaining, Luke was upset that this was some kind of scam, and Sara refused to believe them. Ian had the drone de-cloak, and produce comunits for them. Tara was more accepting, and got really excited about it. Ian assured them that every word was true, and they would find out tonight, when they got aboard the shuttle. They had calmed down considerably when the drone de-cloaked in front of them. Ian thought he would wait to ask them if Tara could become a pilot, but from the way Tara was acting she would figure that out fast enough. He reminded them that this was still a secret, and the rest of the people would be told slowly. He asked that they keep this to themselves, so no one panics. They agreed, and Ian and Andrea left. Laura wanted to stay for a bit to talk with them some more. Sara was one of the teachers and Laura wanted to talk to her about that as well.

"So, when do I get my interview?" Andrea asked, grinning.

Ian chuckled, "You really think you need one?"

"Well, you have no idea how good I am, or what my qualifications are. I would think that you'd at least like to see my resume'." She said.

"Actually, Star gave me all the information on your abilities last night. I know how good you are, and I would've hired you even if you weren't Elias sister. I just need to figure out how and when to get you up to meet Beth, the chief medical officer. She's also my wife, and mother." Ian said.

Andrea smiled, and shook her head. "I don't fully understand all this yet, but I'm happy Elias found you. Now we can finally be together. Thank you for that." She said.

"No need to thank me, it's just the way things are around here." Ian said.

“Well, whatever it is, I’m greatful for it.” She said.

            “Yeah, me too.” Ian snickered.

“Well, I think I need to take a nap, so I’m gonna go crawl in with Elias.” She said, and turned to their house. “See ya later, Ian.”

Ian waved at Andrea, and headed for his camper. He thought the talk with Tommy would go better with food in his stomach.

Ian got down to the guard shack after lunch to see the small delivery vehicle for the store pulling away. Ian didn’t think it was unusual, since Tommy couldn’t really leave for any period of time, he had to have things delivered.

Ian knocked on the door, and Tommy answered it. “Ian! Thanks for coming back. You didn’t need to though. Sam and Tab are telling me about the ship. It looks like I’m getting two roommates too. Sam thought that one person manning the shack wasn’t enough, So Ty asked me if one of them could stay here with me. I said sure, and they both are staying. Then they ordered more food, and a bigger bed!” Tommy said and turned to let Ian in.

Ian could see the two women in the bed room setting up a king size bed. The man was obviously slightly confused, but Ian felt sure the ladies would explain everything to him. Ian tried not to chuckle, and walked over to the bedroom, sticking his head inside, he grinned, and asked if they needed any help.

“Naw, thanks anyway though.” Sam said. Tab just smiled.

“I promised Tommy full disclosure earlier today, but he says you two are filling him in?” Ian asked.

They both looked at Tommy, standing beside Ian. Ian could see a certain glint in both of their eyes, and recognized it.

“Yeah, we’re filling him in.” Tab said in a velvet voice.

Ian grinned, and tried not to laugh. “Perhaps you should fill him in on the ‘at first sight law’ as well.”

Tab looked at him confused, but Sam snorted, and grinned back at him. “Will do Sir.”

Ian nodded, grinned, and turned to leave. “Could you stay for lunch?” Tab asked.

“Thanks, but I already ate. Besides, I think this meal should be just the three of you.” Ian said, smiling. He slapped Tommy on the shoulder, and they both walked to the door. “Remember what I told you; be yourself.” Ian said.

“I will. Thanks for all your help.” Tommy said.

“No problem, have a good time.” Ian said, and left.

Ian walked back to the camper; he needed to get his stuff packed for the trip tonight. He hoped Luke and Sara would be able to handle this, from the sound of it; Luke would make an excellent operations manager. He knew how business worked, and Ian didn't.

Ian got packed, took off his clothes, and laid down for a short nap. It was going to be a long night.

Ian awoke to the feeling of someone snuggling up next to him. He opened his eyes, and looked into Cindy's. Talena was getting her clothes off as well, they both looked a little sad.

"I thought you two were busy with your pilot's?" Ian said.

"We were, but since it's supper time, we decided to call it a day." Talena said.

"Supper time? What time is it?" Ian asked.

"Almost 6, actually." Cindy said, "But when we saw you sleeping back here, we both kinda lost our appetites, and wanted to snuggle."

"Ummmhmmm." Talena said as she crawled into the bed with them.

"Somehow, I don't think snuggling is exactly what you two had in mind." Ian snickered.

"Well…We agreed to start with snuggling." Talena said, smiling coyly, and snuggled into Ian's side opposite Cindy. Ian was so comfortable, he fell back asleep.

They were awakened by a knock on the door. Ian jumped awake, and awoke the girls in the process. He threw some shorts on and went to answer the door.

Elias was standing there, with a smirk on his face. “Did you forget you wanted to leave tonight?”

Ian yawned, “No, actually I fell asleep. The girls came home and woke me about 6, but I fell back to sleep with them. What time is it now?”

“About 9:30. Everyone’s been ready for about an hour.” Elias chuckled.

Ian closed his eyes, and shook his head. “Damn, I’m sorry. I must have been more tired then I realized. I’ll get dressed, and we can go, I packed earlier.” Ian said.

“Okay, I’ll go tell everyone. The Beldens are at our place.” Elias told him.

“Okay, be there in 5 minutes.” Ian said.

Elias chuckled, and left. Ian went and got dressed. He said goodbye to the girls, and was five minutes late getting to Elias'.

Ian got good natured razzing from everyone, and helped to carry every ones bags to the Hummer. Kyle and Steph gave their parents one more hug, and climbed in beside the Beldens. Ian started the truck, and they took off.

Ian found the road, mainly because Star was helping him navigate, and they drove up into the cargo hold of the shuttle.

Luke was wide eyed, and looking all around him. Ian suspected that he had only said he believed, and now that he was actually seeing proof, he was amazed.

They all got out, and Ian showed everyone to the lounge. There were no private room aboard the shuttles, so he told them if they wanted to take a nap, they had to stretch out on a couch.

The three kids were wide eyed as well, but it was excitement that drove them on. Luke and Sara finally caught the kids' excitement, and began to relax, and look forward to the trip. Ian retired to the cockpit, to make it seem like he was piloting. He though it might help the Beldens if they thought a human was at the controls. Once they had taken off, and were on course, Ian returned to the lounge.

"So, Ian, what happens once we get to the ship?" Sara asked.

"Well, we'll actually be getting there in the middle of the night, so not much right away. We'll get you a place to sleep, and let you get settled in. Then tomorrow, if you feel up to it, I'll give you a tour of the ship, and then introduce you to the ships doctor, Beth Williams. What happens then, I don't know, but she'll tell you. If you have any questions, simply ask. Don't worry about getting lost, or going somewhere you're not supposed to be. Your wrist units will help guide you, until you figure out the layout of the ship, and restricted areas, are clearly marked, and the doors are usually locked. The reason for this is the only areas of the ship that are restricted, are areas that you could be harmed in; such as part of main engineering, or the fighter launch tubes." Ian said.

"Fighter launch tubes? Like on the video games?" Tara asked.

Ian grinned at her, "Yes Tara, Those video games are actually an adaptation of our flight simulators used for training pilots. You'll actually get to see a real hornet in a few hours."

"Oh wow! How old do I have to be to learn to fly one for real?" She asked.

"By Talosian law, a person is an adult at the age of 16. However, I think in this case, I would need your parents permission as well. They've got a lot to get used to, so just take it easy. Okay?" Ian said.

"You mean to tell me that you'd let a 16 year old fly a combat aircraft?" Luke asked, a little astounded.

"Yes, I would. It's like this Luke; If a child is raised the way the Talosians raised theirs, They are much more mature, and a lot more educated then ours are at the same age. For example, You've met Talena right?" Ian paused, and both Luke and Sara nodded. "Do you know how old she is?"

Sara answered first, "She has to be at least 18, though she is a tiny little thing. She looks younger, but she is too mature to be less then 18."

"I'd have to agree with Sara, though I would've guessed older, say 20ish." Luke said.

"Well her actual chronological age is difficult to calculate, but her physical age is 14." Ian said.

Sara laughed, "No way she's 14. I've taught kids that age for a few years, and she defiantly isn't one of them."

"Talena is the only person alive that is 100% Talosian. The Captain at the time put her into suspended animation. She was an orphan; her family was killed in the attack that marooned StarDancer on the moon. She is, chronologically, over 2000 years old. She was born and raised Talosian. Before the attack, she petitioned command to allow her into the academy early. She became one of the youngest cadets in the history of the academy. She passed ground school, and was in the simulator preparing for her final flight test, when the attack came. She's a full fledged pilot, and she's 14 years old." Ian said. "Cindy is also a pilot, she didn't go through the academy, but she passed a very rapid ground school, and has satisfied Star as to her ability to fly. She is 16, I did ground her though; too much stress in a fighter for a pregnant woman to fly."

"Cindy's pregnant? When did that happen?" Sara asked.

Ian laughed, "About 3 months ago, I'm surprised you haven't noticed, she's showing pretty good. But then again she should with twins."

"Twins? And she's only 16? Have you shot the boy who did this yet?" Luke asked

Ian shook his head, "No. She's in love with him, and I'm pretty sure he loves her too. Beth, our mother knows about it, and accepts it. Hell, she's pregnant too, as is my wife Jenny. Ironically, they all seemed to get pregnant about the same time." Ian said, just barely keeping a straight face.

Kyle, and Steph, who knew the truth, couldn't hide their amusement, and started a quiet conversation with Tara.

"But," Ian continued, "back to the original topic. I think you'll see a major change in the kids once we start using the teaching system we have planned. Sara, while we're on board, I'll have Star give you an overview how it works, and you can ask her any questions. Unfortunately, neither of you has enough Talosian DNA, or we could give you a first hand demonstration. However Tara does have enough, and will be using the same teaching method the rest of us use. Simply keep an eye on her grades, It took Cindy about a month to finish high school. When Tara finishes, I think you'll see a marked difference in her. She'll be more mature, and self assured."

"I'm just a bit nervous about that, it sounds an awful lot like brain washing." Luke said.

"It should, because that is, in essence what it is. You see, the Talosians developed a way to write information directly to the brain, via the optic nerve. It is brainwashing, but in a good sense. No one has to use it, and they know exactly what will be 'taught' before it's done." Ian said.

"It does make sense, but it still gives me the willies. I've heard so many horror stories about people getting hypnotized into doing things." Luke said.

"Well, I don't think you have to worry about that. First off, no one can hypnotize you into doing something you weren’t inclined to do to begin with. Second, we wouldn't do that to you anyway, this is just for learning." Ian said.

"So what are you planning on using on the kids then?" Sara asked.

"A form of subliminal programming, I think. It's slower then the direct method, but still considerably faster then normal schools." Ian shrugged, "Just ask Star and Janet, they'll be able to tell you more about it."

            Sara nodded, and yawned.

"Why don't you two try to grab a nap, it's long ride." Ian suggested.

"That sounds good to me. but I think the kids are a bit to wired to nap right now." Luke said.

"I'll take them up to the cockpit with me for a bit, they'll get bored soon enough, and run out of energy." Ian said.

"Thanks, Ian: For everything." Luke said.

Ian smiled, and nodded to them, got the kids attention, and motioned for them to follow him.

He led them to the bridge/cockpit of the small craft, and closed the door.

"What's up Ian?" Kyle asked.

Ian grinned, "First off Cadet, you need to start addressing me as Captain, or Star will put you on report." Kyle chuckled, and bowed his head as an apology. "Second, Luke and Sara wanted to take a nap, and you guys chatting would keep them awake." Ian explained.

"Oh, sorry, Tara's just really excited and also very curious about some of the things you said. Steph and I were trying to keep her from asking you some questions I didn't think you wanted to answer in front of her folks." Kyle said.

"Thanks. That was smart of you, I was starting to wonder how I was going to explain those things." Ian said.

Tara smirked, "But I still would like to know the answers. Kyle wouldn't tell me anything."

"Well, what would you like to know? I'll try to answer as best I can, but I need you to promise me not to discuss anything you hear, with anyone out side of this room, unless you ask me first. Okay?" Ian said.

"Okay, I promise. I usually only talk to Steph and Kyle anyway, so that’s no problem." She said.

"Before you start Ian, I think there is something you should know. Since you've been open with us about your life and beliefs, I think we should be as well." He said, and looked at Stephanie. She looked up at him, he nodded, and she walked over to Tara, and kissed her softly on the lips, and whispered; "It's okay, we defiantly can trust Ian."

"I see." Ian said. He was a bit surprised, but then again, he remembered what Cindy and Talena had told him about the young pilots, and the way they had already paired up. "Then I think you'll understand when I tell you that my sister, Cindy, my mother Beth, as well as Jenny are all carrying my babies. I am married to all of them under Talosian law. Talena wants to join us as well." Ian said. "I helped Kyle and Steph's parent to understand their attraction, and love for one another by explaining Talosian history and genetics to them. So now they know about the relationship, and are ok with it. I dare say that Elias is rather happy his daughter found a good mate who is truly concerned about her." Ian said, nodding to the smiling teens.

"You married your mother and sister? I think I have a lot to learn. You must be a very busy man to keep four horny ladies happy." She said grinning.

Ian walked over to the small replicator in the corner for the pilots use, and asked for a pair of lenses, and a glass of Mountain Dew.

"Tara, you love both Steph and Kyle right?" He asked.

"Yes I do, though it took a bit for me to get the nerve to let him know it, Steph finally just told him to kiss me." She grinned.

"Well, does Kyle have to kiss you all the time to make you happy, or will kissing Steph do it for you sometimes?" Ian asked.

She blushed, "We do more then kiss, but I think I see what you are saying. No He doesn't always have to…uh, take care of both of us, we all kinda take care of each other. It's that way with you?" Tara asked.

Ian nodded. "They love each other as much as they love me. No one gets jealous, no one feels left out. If we start feeling that way, we simply talk to the others. In this type of relationship, communication is absolutely essential. So, if you don't mind, I'll give you that piece of advice, talk about everything, no matter how embarrassing or possibly hurtful. Things get worse the longer you ignore them. Something small and silly might become big and ugly and could possibly end up destroying your relationship. So talk about everything." Ian said.

Stephanie smiled, "We appreciate it Ian, er… Captain, I think we've got that down already though, at least the basis for it. We pretty much talk to each other about everything now. Though I think sometime Kyle isn't listening," she grinned, "we'll get him trained."

"Okay, before I forget again, Tara, here is the other half of your communit. Your parents can't use it, but you can. It'll help you finish school, and with anything else you choose to learn." Ian said. "You know how to wear them?" He asked.

"Yeah, I do. I used to wear them for my eyes, but I don't need to anymore. Are these extended wear?" She asked.

"You could say that, you don't need to take them out. They also give you some added communication abilities, you can receive visuals, but remember that you'll be the only one who can see it." Ian told her.

"Cool." She said. "I also want to thank you for talking to my parents about letting me fly a hornet, I really want to. The game was cool, but flying the real thing has got to be better." She said.

"You're welcome. Since I know about the three of you now, I'll try to convince your folks to let you stay aboard to begin your 'flight training'. Just remember, you're not actually of age yet, so act accordingly." Ian said.

"That was another question I wanted to ask you," Stephanie said. " Can Dr. Williams put me on birth control?"

"God, yes! Me too!" Tara said.

"You'll both have to talk to her about it. She's the Chief Medical Officer, not me." Ian said, chuckling.

The rest of the trip passed by, with Ian and the kids chatting on the bridge, and Luke and Sara sleeping in the lounge. Finally Ian sat in the pilots chair, and asked Tara to go and wake her parents.

Ian sat back, and watched the landing. He led the group back to the Hummer to grab their bags, and then out of the shuttle into alpha bay.

"Are those Hornets?" Tara asked excitedly.

"Yep, fully armed, and combat ready. If we had the pilots, we could launch all 60 of them in about five minutes." Ian said proudly.

"What are those?" Kyle said, pointing to the three frigates.

"Corvette class fighter/bombers, or frigates. They carry more armament and have better shields then the Hornets do, however they are not as maneuverable. Each carries a crew of three, but we don't have trained people for those yet either." Ian said.

"Just how many people are aboard?" Luke asked.

"Not many actually, So far we only have 34, but this monster nominally has a crew of 400, add their families to that, and you go over a thousand." Ian said.

As the door to the corridor opened, Star was there to greet him. "Welcome home, Captain. Welcome aboard Mr. and Mrs. Belden, Tara, as well as Cadets Kyle and Stephanie Johnson. I am Star, the ships' Artificial Intelligence Associate. Your accommodations have already been arranged by Chief Laskar. If you will follow me, I'll show you to them." She said, and turned to lead them to the maglev.

"You're a computer? You look human to me." Luke said.

"Actually, Mr. Belden, I am a hologram. My designers created me to make interaction with humans easier." She said. "I am actually located in the main computer core, in a vault two decks below the bridge."

They got aboard the maglev, and sat down. Star said, "Garden quad, level one." And the car took off. Once they arrived, Ian followed Star to the first apartment.

"Mr. and Mrs. Belden, and Tara. This is your apartment for your stay with us." She indicated the door to her right. "Cadets, tonight you can stay in this apartment, Tomorrow, we will move you to the pilots area. Simply touch your hands to the plates, to register your print, touch it again, and the door will open." She instructed. The group complied, then opened the doors. "Cadets, please follow us into the Beldens apartment, so I can show you how to use the replicators, the rest of the amenities are self evident." Star led everyone into the Beldens apartment, and instructed them on how to use the replicators.

"Now since it is so late, I will leave you to rest. Once you have awoke later this morning, simply call for me on your wrist unit, and I will lead you to the Captain. Good night." She said, and faded from view.

Ian grinned, "She's kinda formal around people she doesn't know. But, like she said, it is midwatch, so I will let you all get some sleep, and I'll see ya in the morning." He bowed his head, and led the two new Cadets back to their apartment.

"You guys need anything, either ask Star, or ask for me. Don't worry about waking me up. I understand this place is new to you. You'll get used to it later, for now, just go get some sleep." He shook Kyle's hand, and gave Stephanie a kiss on the cheek.

They told him good night, and went into their apartment. Ian walked back to the maglev, and let it take him to his quarters.

He quietly opened the door, and set his bag down on the couch. He walked into the bedroom, and took his clothes off. In the dim light he could see Jenny and Beth asleep in each other arms. He stood there for a minute, and just looked at them. He had really missed the two women. They were so beautiful laying in each others arms, no one seeing them would question the feelings between them. He smiled softly, thinking how lucky he was to be able to be apart of that love. He very gently got under the covers with them, and eased up behind Jenny. Despite all the sleep he had gotten already, he was still tired, and soon drifted off to sleep.

He awoke to the wonderful sensation of a set of lips wrapped around his cock. He looked down to see Beth softly sliding his cock in and out of her mouth. Her eyes were smiling back at him. “Good morning, love. Welcome home.” She said quietly, and put his hard cock back in her mouth. Jenny was still asleep beside them, so he just smiled back at her, and enjoyed her mouth. She increased her sucking, and added her hand to slowly stroke him, in a painfully slow rhythm. She pulled him out of her mouth again, “I think you should roll over and stick this in our sleeping beauty here, she’s missed you almost as much as I have.” She grinned.

Ian grinned back at her, and, turning slightly, began to gently caress Jenny’s ass. He suck one of his fingers to get it wet, and slowly slid it across her asshole to her pussy. Jenny moaned in her sleep, and pushed back at his finger. He got his finger wet again and repeated it, again she moaned, and pushed back, this time she pulled her legs up a bit to give him better access, she was already getting wet. He used the moisture that she was producing, and spread it around, gently rubbing around her clit, trying not to touch it, and then back through her labia. She moaned some more, and pushed as she felt his finger pass her opening. He teased her like this for a few minutes, and Beth tugged on him, to get him to roll on his side. He turned, and slid his saliva slick cock between Jenny’s legs. She moaned louder, and pushed back into him, making a slow fucking motion. He adjusted his angle a bit, and got lined up, the head of his dick was at her opening; he gently started pushing into her, now, very wet pussy.

She moaned very loud as his hard shaft entered her tight hole. Beth had gotten back in front of her, and was gently sucking and licking her nipples. Jenny opened her eyes, and saw Beth sucking her nipples, and felt a cock entering her from behind. She turned her head, and saw Ian. “Oh damn! What a nice way to wake up!” She said, and put an arm around Beth’s head, and reached back to caress Ian’s hip, as he continued to push into her.

He pushed in as far as he thought he could, and then started to slowly fuck into her. She matched his pace, and Ian felt Beth’s fingers stroking Jenny’s clit. Jenny was moaning very loud, and Ian could feel the contractions of her pussy, as she neared her first orgasm. Ian was in no danger of cumming yet, since his bladder was de-sensitizing him somewhat.

Jenny roared into her first orgasm, Ian kept pumping into her, taking her higher. He thrust into her, as fast as he dared, her spasming pussy trying to clamp onto his invading member. Finally she went ridged, and her pussy clamped down harder then Ian had ever felt it, he stopped moving, and she screamed into a pillow. Ian held her gently, and caressed her sides, gently kissing her neck, and back. Beth was caressing her tummy, and softly kissing her throat.

She was panting heavily, and bent down and tenderly kissed Beth on the lips, a short kiss, since she was trying to suck as much air back into her lungs as she could. Then she twisted, and kissed Ian the same way. The three lovers then just lay quietly in each others arms, not saying anything. Ian’s hard cock still planted firmly inside Jenny’s tight pussy. He could feel small orgasms shudder through her, as she would ‘flutter’ on his cock. It was then the Ian felt the slight bulge of Jenny’s tummy, he propped himself up, and looked at his mother, she too had a bulge beginning. Ian grinned, “I think someone else might need a ‘good morning’ Jenny, what do you think?”

She smiled at Beth, “Definitely.”

Ian gently pulled out of Jenny, and he got up, Jenny rolled onto her back, pulling Beth with her. Beth was now on top of Jenny, and she got on her knees, She gently kissed Jenny on the lips, the kiss becoming more passionate as Ian got back onto the bed behind her.

Ian gently caressed her pussy, causing her to moan into Jenny’s mouth. She was soaked. Remembering what she liked, he got his fingers good and wet on her juices, and spread it around her asshole. She moaned loudly into Jenny’s mouth and shuddered slightly. He repeated that until he had her ass slicked up, and then he moved forward, and slowly slid into her hot pussy. He continued to play with her ass, as he pushed deeper into her. She was moaning continuously now, and shuddering like she was having an orgasm already. She broke the kiss with Jenny, and lay her head on Jenny’s shoulder, moaning and panting. When Ian was fully inside her, she stopped him, she was shuddering and coming around his cock. He pushed his thumb against her ass, and she moaned louder, and pushed back. Her spasming intensified, and she started to shake. Suddenly she rocked forward, reached behind her, and pulled his dick from her pussy. She moved it up to her ass, pushing his thumb out of the way. She got him pressed to her asshole, and began to push back. Ian watched in wonder as he felt the tightest thing he had ever had wrapped around his cock begin to slide over him. As the head of his cock popped into her she cried out, “Oh God, YES!” She increased the pressure, and slowly pushed her son’s hard cock into her bowels.

Ian felt her push him all the way in. She was super tight, and he wondered briefly if he was hurting her. He realized that she was the one who was doing this, not him, so if it was hurting her, she would stop. He had heard about anal sex before, but never done it, so he stayed as sill as he could, and waited for her to let him know when to start moving.

She looked back over her shoulder at him, her eyes a mixture of love and lust. “Go slowly at first Ian, to get me used to you, you’ll know when to go faster.” She closed her eyes, “God you’re big, but this feels so good.”

Ian put his hands on her hips, and very slowly pulled back out of her, just to the tip, then just as slowly pushed back in. Beth held onto Jenny tightly, moaning and saying “Oh Yes, like that. Nice and slow. God yesssss, my son is fucking my ass.”  Then she would moan louder.

She started pushing back at him faster, so Ian sped up a little, and she would moan louder. Jenny was caressing her breasts, and sucking her nipples. Then Jenny reached down and started rubbing Beth’s clit.

Ian knew he wasn’t going to last long in Beth’s ass, he’d never felt anything like it, and the ways he was almost screaming in pleasure didn’t help. When he felt Jenny’s fingers brush his balls, he started loosing it.

Beth felt Jenny’s fingers strum her clit, and she rocketed into the strongest orgasm she had ever had. Even her beloved husband had never taken her this high before. When she felt Ian shooting his cum deep inside her, lights flashed before her eyes, and she started to faint. The last thing she remembered before blackness, was hearing someone scream in utter ecstasy. She realized it was her.

Ian felt himself explode deep inside Beth’s ass. Beth started to scream out in ecstasy, and then collapsed onto Jenny. He slowly pulled his twitching cock out of her ass, and helped Jenny get her onto her back. He ran to the bathroom, and got a wet cloth to clean her up, and then he simply held her.

“Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever saw her cum so hard for so long.” Jenny said.

“Me neither. I always worry when this happens. I think I’ve hurt her.” Ian said.

“You can relax, because you didn’t. But that is the first time I’ve passed out from sex.” Beth said slowly, “Wow, I’ve never had an orgasm so powerful before. I’d heard stories of women who would faint from sex, but never really believed them.”

The three of them held each other and chatted for a bit, then decided that they should get ready for the day.

After they all got out of the shower, Ian said, “I’ve brought you a patient, doctor. One of the men from Elias crew has a serious drinking problem. He wants to get help, and his family came along to support him.” He paused. “I was going to give them a tour of the ship, then bring them to medbay, and introduce them to you.”

“Alcoholic huh? I think I saw a reference to that in the medical data base. I’ll look it up this morning.” Beth said.

“Jen, I’ll back up to the bridge after I get them settled, we have two new pilots on board as well; Elias’ kids, Kyle and Stephanie. I’ll get with your mother and get them into pilots’ quarters.” Ian said.

“Okay, hon. I’ll see you later.” She kissed him, and left for the bridge.

Ian walked with Beth to the maglev, “Talena wants to marry us.” He said quietly.

“I kinda figured she would. But isn’t she too young to do that, by Talosian law?” Beth asked.

Ian nodded, “I was thinking of calling a meeting of department heads, and discussing emancipation. I know I’m biased, but I think she’s mature enough to be allowed to do what she wants to do. I would exclude myself from the vote, and I think you and Jenny should too. I’ll have Flight or Engineering lead the meeting. Star said that was the way it was done.”

“It sure sounds fair to me. Did you ask Talena about it?” She asked.

“No, I wanted to surprise her if it goes through, but I didn’t want her to be hurt if it didn’t.” Ian said.

“Smart move, she would get her hopes up. Let’s talk to the different Department heads, and see if we can talk them into it. Then get her back to the ship, and have the meeting. That way, we’ll know before hand, and she won’t get hurt.” Beth said.

“Good plan.” Ian said. “Now all I need to do is explain the incest and polygamy to the Beldens, and I’ll make it through the day.” He chuckled.

“You mean you haven’t told them yet?” She looked shocked.

“Nope. I couldn’t think of how to tell them. They will find out about it because their daughter is in love with Kyle and Steph.” Ian said. “Damn this gets confusing.”

She chuckled at him, “Wait until we get a full crew.” She kissed him, and got off the maglev.

Ian told the maglev to continue on to the Garden quad. He got out, and headed to the Laskars quarters. Star had told him that Julie, Janet, and Bill were still there. Not really surprising since both Julie, and Bill had offices in their quarters. He entered the door to Julie’s office, and waited. He knew that a chime would tell her someone was there.

A few seconds later Julie and Janet came into the room, from a different door. “Ian, welcome back! How was the trip?” Julie said.

“It was fine, Julie. I brought back a couple of souvenirs though, and they are gonna need quarters in the Pilots area, for three.” Ian smiled.

“Three?” Janet said. “I thought you brought back Kyle and Stephanie?”

“I did. What you might not have known was that Tara Belden is in love with them.”

“Oh! You got her parents to let her stay? I…” Her eyes glazed over. Ian recognized that she was entering a trance. Both Julie and Ian waited quietly. Soon, she ‘woke up’ and looked at Ian. “Yes, I’ll tell them, and yes she’ll be staying.” Janet said, and shook her head, chuckling at Ian. “What would you ever do without me?”

“Probably blunder around and offend more people then I got to help.” Ian said, and kissed her on the forehead. “Seriously, I think you should get some helpers, I would like you to stay here, and do an orientation for our new crewmen and dependants as they show up. We need to get more people up here, faster then we have been. You’re good, but you’re still only one person. Not to mention, it’s hell on your private life.” He winked at Julie.

“I’ll get those two I told you about the other day, I’ll get them up here, and get them trained. We’ll need to start running a daily flight to the surface once this gets into full swing.” Janet said.

“I’ll leave it up to you. But try to do it as quietly as you can, we really don’t want the enemy to know we have gotten Star back in shape, or that the town on the surface is connected to us.” Ian said.

“Guess you shouldn’t have named it Talos then huh?” Julie said smirking.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Ian said.

“You’re kidding, right? I thought you knew. Don’t you think naming that community Talos is going to draw the enemy’s attention to it? I thought you had something up your sleeve when you hired those seals.” Julie said.

“Damn, I didn’t even think about that! They had already named the place when I got there, but I still could have stopped it. Now it’s too late, the official documents have been filed.” Ian said. “Shit! We might as well hang signs that proclaim it an impact area! I’ve gotta warn the Seals, and Elias. Damn, I should have seen that.” Ian said, as he turned to leave, Julie stopped him with a hand on his arm.

“Ian, you’re only human, you can’t think of everything. Don’t blame yourself. Besides, maybe the enemy won’t notice.” She said.

“Thanks, Julie, but I’m not willing to bet the lives of the people there on that. Janet, could you please talk to the Beldens?” He asked, she nodded, “Please excuse me.” Ian said, and left. He ran back to the maglev, and directed it to the bridge.

He ran from the maglev to his ready room, as he passed through the bridge, Jenny noticed the look on his face and followed. As soon as the door closed, Ian had his hand on the comm. button. “Captain to Security Chief Ty, Priority.” He said.

“Ty, here. What’s up Captain?” He said calmly.

“Chief, we’ve made a big mistake, and there may be a problem.” Ian said, and filled him in. The string of swear words that followed defined for Ian the term ‘cuss like a sailor’.

“Sorry to dump this on you, Ty. Someone just pointed it out to me, and I’ve been too damn busy with everything else to see it.” Ian said.

“No sir, blame is for politicians, you told us as soon as you knew, and that is all we can ask for, except maybe another crate of those laser rifles?” Ty asked.

“What are you doing? Selling them on the black market?” Ian teased.

“Naw, delivery would be a bitch, and then I’d have teach ‘em how to use ‘em. I’m actually hatching a plan to arm the natives.” Ty said.

“I’m good with that, but I’m gonna send down 4 class 2 rail guns as well. Until the drones get all the underground stuff setup, you’ll need something to use for anti-aircraft.” Ian said.

“You don’t think they’ll use fighters down here do you? That would show the world they’re here.” Ty said.

“I just want all the bases covered, Ty. If you have them, and never use them, I’ll be happy. But if you need them, and don’t have them, I’ll be burying a lot of good people.” Ian said. “Remember, even a fighter at full burn would take almost an hour and a half to get there, and would defiantly announce their presence when they slammed into the atmosphere.” Ian said.

“Understood, I’ll try to mount them as high as I can, with out having to explain to much.” Ty said.

“Thanks, could you pass the word to Elias?” Ian said.

“Actually, you just did. He’s sitting right here with me.” Ty said.

“Okay, good luck, and if you need anything, ask.” Ian said, and signed off.

Jenny had been sitting in a chair listening to the conversation. She smiled at Ian, “You can’t be expected to think of everything, Ian. That’s what you have all of us for.” She said.

“I know, Jen. I just wish I would have thought about it. I know that the enemy will hear of this. I just don’t know when.” Ian said.

He placed the order with the armory, and left for the Beldens quarters. He arrived to find Kyle and Stephanie there, Luke and Janet were talking quietly at the kitchen table.

“How did you guys sleep?” Ian asked Kyle and Stephanie.

“It’s a new place, so it’ll take some getting used to.” Stephanie said.

“Have you gotten your new living assignments yet?” Ian asked.

“Yes sir, but Janet wanted us to wait for Julie to guide us.” Kyle said. Then in an quiet aside to Ian, “This has been fun to watch Janet tell the Beldens about the way relationships work here. They sure did squirm around a lot. But before they could say anything Tara took her parents hands, and told them about us. It’s been weird, but I think it’ll be okay. Sara and Tara are in another room talking, and Janet has been answering Lukes’ questions.” He said.

Ian grinned, looked up at Janet and Luke, “How’re things going?” He asked.

Luke grinned, “I’d like to know how you ended up with three wives?” He said.

“It’s a long story Luke, and one I’ll tell you later, but for now we need to get started on that tour. Things are already starting to ambush me, and I don’t know how long I can do what I want to do.” Ian said, smiling.

Luke nodded, and, still smiling, went to get the girls. They came out of the room, and Luke told them they needed to get going, and they’d have more time to chat later.

Julie arrived and led the Johnson’s to their new home. Ian and Janet led the Beldens through the ship, pointing things out, and explaining others. Finally they arrived at MedBay, and Ian introduced Luke and Sara to Dr. Williams, his wife, and mother. He grinned at the look on Sara’s face, and winked at her. She chuckled, and shook her head.

Beth took over from Ian and Janet at that point, Luke and Sara thanked them, and Ian asked Janet to return to his ready room with him.

Once Ian got back to his office, he called; “Star?” and motioned for Janet to have a seat.

She appeared in front of his desk, “Sir?”

“First off, did you run that scan of the area I asked for?” Ian said.

“Yes sir, the results had only one abnormality; a small twitch on a power sensor. It came from a rock formation almost three miles away. I informed the Commander and she reviewed the sensor logs. She dispatched several drones out to ‘salvage’ the local rocks, and slowly converge on that location. If there is anything out there, it will soon be recycled into something else.” She said.

“Very good. Now, Janet, I have a feeling that we are going to need pilots soon. The reports all tell me that we’ll be able to lift within the month. It’s going to take longer then that to train the pilots we’re gonna need. Perhaps run and ad in a paper or two for military pilots. Tell them we are developing a video game or something. They don’t have to be all American either; in fact, I’d actually like to see a diverse crew. But priority has to go to getting more recruiters like you going out there. I really do want you back here handling orientation.”

“Also there are the new construction crews to interview. I know you haven’t had much time with your family, but…” Ian faltered.

She smiled at him, “its okay Ian. I know you’re trying to get me back up here full time. So I will go back down and get this stuff handled, I think it should take me a week or two. I’ll call the two I told you about while I am in flight, and have them meet me at Talos, then I’ll get them going, with instructions to find some more recruiters as well. We’ll get your people, Ian.” She said.

“Okay, you know best what you need to do.” Ian said. “What about the Schooling issue?”

“Julie, Bill, and I have gotten that worked out as well; Bill is working with Saunders to develop a really neat school system. He is also putting together a special program, to help people accept, and understand our heritage, and past. He said he’d have it ready by the time Saunders started getting the systems together.” She said.

“You really do think of everything don’t you?” Ian asked her.

“Of course! I am a woman after all!” She said teasingly as she stuck her nose in the air, and walked out.
