A recent event near to where I live has prompted me to post this message, and to make this decision. It has made me think about what I am providing here, and I feel suddenly sickened as to what I have been doing.

A gorgeous little five year old girl was recently abducted, taken from the home that she felt safe and secure in, and brutally raped and strangled. All for the sake of a sick man's depraved sexual gratification. Looking at my own newborn baby girl, I cried openly when watching newsreel of this story, and every time I see little Chloe's picture my heart constricts. I feel so badly for the famliy of this little one, and all other families who have suffered a similar fate. Please read the story below, and shed a tear for this little angel who has lost her life for no reason.

Chloe's killer has been captured and charged, and I can only hope the very harshest penalty available will be dealt to the monster who robbed this baby girl of her life.

CHLOE HOSON'S KILLER CHARGED WITH MURDER AND AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT

Emotions boiled over in a Sydney court today as relatives and friends of murdered five-year-old Chloe Hoson lunged and shouted abuse at the man accused of raping and killing her.

Timothy Edward Kosowicz showed no expression when he was brought before Liverpool Local Court and confronted with a room overflowing with heavy security and Chloe's relatives, many sobbing loudly.

The 22-year-old, from Sadleir in Sydney's south-west, was refused bail during the hearing which lasted fewer than four minutes and was peppered with calls from the public gallery of "sick f---" and "sick man".

Kosowicz is accused of sexually assaulting and killing Chloe, whose body was found dumped on a riverbank just 200m from her family's mobile home at Lansvale in Sydney's southwest on Saturday.

When Magistrate William Brydon remanded him in custody a small group lunged towards the dock.

Some of the 10 police and sheriffs in Court Room One restrained the surging group and an ambulance was called after one of Chloe's aunts collapsed.

The woman was taken away on a stretcher as other family members and friends leaned on one another for support as they left the court house, which had featured heavy security, including metal detectors.

Kosowicz, who was dressed entirely in black and had shoulder-length blond hair, did not apply for bail.

Although no facts were tendered, the police charge sheet alleged Kosowicz murdered Chloe and had " ... sexual intercourse without her consent ... " on November 7.

Outside the court the little girl's uncle, Peter Chalker, said the family was struggling to come to terms with what had happened but also wanted to thank those who had helped.

"On behalf of the family we want to thank everybody who helped search for Chloe, and her uncle Dwayne who found her," he told reporters while choking back tears.

"She was the perfect little girl, like all children are. She had the angel look on her; she was just dead-set gorgeous.

"And she's going to be missed by all her family, especially her mother, father, her brother, her two sisters ... she would've had another brother or sister in a couple of months."

Mr Chalker said he did not know the accused, and was unsure whether any of his family knew him.

Before going to see his wife, who was taken to hospital after collapsing at the court, Mr Chalker described his niece as a girl who loved to sing and dance.

"She used to sing `row, row, row your boat gently down the stream and if you see a shark don't forget to scream' - and then she'd scream ... stuff like that - you can't replace it.

"Losing a child is something that everybody dreads, no parent should have to bury their child, I think it's the worst thing in the world."

Magistrate Brydon remanded Kosowicz - who is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated sexual assault - in custody to face the same court on December 19.
