Not Azil's Reward but My Reward by cmsix

"All right, I'm here, stop screaming," announced a voice in my head.

"Who're you?"

"You've been howling in your head - calling me - for five years, and now that I'm here, you don't know who I am? Maybe I should go back," it said.

"Are you Reward?"

"I'm what ever you want to call me. I'd expected to be called *your power* - that's the way you usually refer to me."

"True, but it sounds a little childish. I can call you anything I want?"

"Anything or nothing, I'll be able to tell what you mean and what you want. None of those unintended consequences popping up," it said, assuring me.

"What can you do for me?"

"Anything. Anything you want."

"Riches, power, influence, and women then, the whole ball of wax?" I asked.

"Even more, you can have wisdom and knowledge too. You can have anything you want."

"Sounds like a fun life," I said.

"I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and it'll last forever," it told me.

"Doesn't leave much to write about though, does it? It'll seem like a laundry list of things to do and women to screw."

"Pretty much," it said, agreeing.

"Well bugger off for now then, leave me a few thousand bucks and make yourself scarce. I'll call if I need you.

"And say, fix up that traffic ticket on your way out."
