September of Their Tears

"Ladies, you are here because you missed the last question on the test."
They shifted uncomfortably before Professor Herta Lott, the steely icon of the nation's oldest nursing school.
"Margaret, you first." The bleached blonde with luscious lips stepped forward, and the professor, with the practiced hands of pediatric nurse, whisked the student's shorts and panties down in a single motion, placed her across the starched white dress and quickly spanked.
"Florence, now you." The high-collared, Victorian-mannered girl with raven hair parted down the middle stepped forward, and knowing what to expect, raised her full skirt and, bustle-up, laid across her mentor's lap for a similarly quick but stinging spanking.
"Mildred Ratched!" And the scowling frump strode forward for a spanking a bit harder than the others, just on general principle.
"Now, the last question was very simple, ladies. I asked you what month it was, and you all answered 'September.'"
"I hope you have the correct answer now. This is a month of utmost importance to people who enter the revered profession of nursing, those whose hands and temperaments heal and soothe those for whom doctors" – and she spit that last word with disdain –"have no answers."
"Yes, Nurse Lott," they replied in unison through their tears. "This is Pain Awareness Month."

This reminds me almost of a parody because a schooling scene in a nursing school might look similar to the painted here, except that this is a school that acknowledges, however disdainfully, that spanking heals. I like the idea that a spanking can cure ailments. Very nice take on this subject.

You are allowed to use 500 words in most categories and I've rated a number of stories in the adult category that used closer to 500 words. This story was nice but there was definitely room for more detail. The author only used 212 of the allowed 500 words and I'm asking for more detail this means that they weren't trimming or there is no indication that they were trimming words.

A really good example of story as gag. The build-up is slow and careful – the quick, efficient visuals work very nicely - and thoroughly entertaining in itself. And the pay-off does indeed pay off. I don't have a kink for nurses, but this little vignette could easily give me one. Funny and cute, and I enjoyed it lots.
