The Final Cut

I still remember fondly that late November afternoon when old Mr Simpson called three of the school's most notorious troublemakers to the front of his 3rd Form Geography class, bent them down one at a time over an empty desk and gave them each three good swats with his cane. It's the sort of thing most lads my age could only ever dream of! After all, it was 1967 and girls simply didn't get the cane, at least not in public. But Simpson was retiring next week and he didn't give a damn.

What a performance! The moment he strode in through the door, you could tell the man meant business. "Stephanie Stevens .. Pauline Bellchambers .. and Jacqueline Mumford .. up here!" he said curtly and folded his arms across his chest. We held our breath. Chairs squeaked, skirts rustled and footsteps sounded on the hard linoleum floor. I could hear sassy, sixteen-year-old Jackie Mumford shuffling down the aisle, past my desk. I looked up at her as she went by grinning impishly. Simpson scowled. "Just what are *you* smirking at?" he rumbled menacingly. Someone giggled - one of the Kelly girls, I think. Mr Simpson wagged a hairy forefinger. "A bit of shoosh back there," he said and, once again, an uneasy quiet fell over the classroom.

The old man nodded approvingly. "Pauline! Stephanie! Against the wall, please. Mumford! You come over here!" Jackie edged sideways, not so sure of herself now. Simpson was normally a quiet, gentle fellow and this sudden display of overt authoritarianism seemed quite out of character. "Stand at Attennn .. SHUNNN!!" he bawled and Jackie scampered to obey. "About FACE!! Stand at EASE!!" he continued, then turned and opened the cupboard door.

When she saw the cane Jacqueline's cheeks seemed to drain completely of colour. "But, Sir ..!!" she whined, wringing her palms fearfully. "Stop fidgeting!" Simpson barked back. "Hands on your head!"

"But, SIRRRR....!!!"

"That's enough, Mumford! Bend over!"

Jackie gasped, "But, SIRRRRRR!!!" The look of horror on her pretty, freckled face was absolutely exquisite. "Please, Sir!" she wailed. "Please! PLEASE!! .. Ohhhhh .." With a long desperate moan, the blubbering teenager fell silent. Then, gingerly, she leaned forward over the desk, resigned now to her fate.

Simpson flexed the cane. "My only regret," he told her sternly, "Is that I'm not able to give you the old-fashioned, panties-down thrashing you deserve." I could hear Jackie whimpering with fright at the very thought of it. Simpson smiled. "A note went out to your father this morning," he added triumphantly, knowing just what would happen once she got home. Jackie groaned but Simpson's smile only broadened. "Now then, Miss!" he said gruffly. "Pull your tunic down tight and raise your hips, please."

I could see her delectable little derrire jumping and jiggling as he caned her, tears welling in her eyes and coursing in long braided rivulets down her hot blushing cheeks.

"Oh you horrid man," she sobbed miserably. "You horrid, horrid man!"

The writer puts himself into the frame of the narrative as an observer, and pulls us in after him.  I wish I could have been there, watching the mild-mannered teacher take his revenge on tight little girlbutts.  Well-done spanking fiction is like that.  Brings out the voyeur in every reader.

This is deftly done.  The stage is set with a few quick brush strokes, without appearing hurried.  And when it's done, we wish for more.  Good job.

School scenes aren't my usual fare, but this one really grabbed me.  Mr. Simpson is formidable, and the lead-in to the caning is nicely suspenseful. I liked the mean twist at the end, too.
