There has been an HTML code problem on my story page that was bugging
me, (sorry), and I just couldn't figure it out.
I tried to set the quick-link code to automatically shift the page to
the title of a new story or chapter when clicked, but I couldn't figure
out why most of my story links weren't working correctly. "C" pointed
out that my Named Anchors weren't in the correct placement within each
table, and with a minor adjustment to each anchor by placing it where it
should be all of the quick-links now work. Whew!!!
Thanks "C". I really appreciate your taking the time to look at my
source code and for helping me figure this out. From now on every
quick-link will work correctly.
For the record the code on my story page was all hand written. I don't
use any HTML code generators, and I've been doing it 'the hard way' for
quite a while, so there are a few errors that I've got to resolve to
streamline the code and minimize the amount of work I have to do each
time I make an update.
"C" suggested I start to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) because it's
easier, and I'm going to see how to do it. I hate having to hard code
stuff that's redundant, so CSS is going to be my next attempt so my page
loads quicker, is smaller, and also easier to update.
See readers!!! I listen to you.
Thanks again, "C".
